What is the little blue box on the custom layout background . Ll the choices have this and show up in the photo

i used the custom feature for 1 photo. All the choices have a little blue box on it that shows up in the photo. What is that?

That is not a standard feature of Firefox.
'''Reset''' removes all extensions and themes, along with other specific things, as explained in this support article.

You need to reinstall which extension added that '''F''' to Firefox.

  • I want to watch a video from a site and all I see is a little blue box

Why is it that when I'm on a site that has some video to watch (i.e. news)...all I see is a little-biddy blue box with a question mark on it where the video should be? I tap and tap but no video...what is that little blue box with a question mark on it...is my video being blocked.
And while I'm on it...sometimes I'm on a site and I tap the "link" but it doesn't open the link up...just kinda refreshes the page and goes back to where I was...like it didn't open up at all...no extra page, no nut'n.
    Just curious,
    Thanks

Seems like I do wait for the page to fully load but sometimes these sites have "auto-refresh" on and that may bug it up a bit...but I do remember zooming in and tapping with a good tap and all it does is refresh the page I was already on. Not a biggy since I can eventually check it on my desktop later, but was curious if I was the only one having this problem. Thanks so much.

  • Images on certain websites come up blank with little blue box with white "?" inside

I own a MacBook Pro (MAC OS X 10.6.8) that I purchased in 2011. I have never had a single problem before, but here very recently youtube, my school (FSU) website, and a few other random websites will not load images. At all. They just show a little blue box with a white question mark inside. I have tried emptying the catch, resetting safari, nothing works. Help? I need to be able to see the images on my.fsu.edu it's really important!

  • I keep getting the little blue box with the question mark

    Hi
I have 10.6.7 system software and my safari is 5.0.4
I have called apple twice with this problem already but nothing has helped except for short times.
I have reset safari about one dozen times and when I do I reset the top 7 items and I've emptied the cache in addition just in case. I've also taken my safari preference plist out of my library and trashed it.
And I've run disk utilities many times and restarted my computer. Each thing I do will solve the problem for a short time, even up to a day or more (or less) but then it comes back. For instance on Facebook maybe 1/8th of the thumbnail images have the little blue boxes with the question marks but most don't. I can't figure it out. Sometimes even the iPAD safari gets them too but my firefox doesn't show them and neither does Safari on my eMac.
Yesterday the question marks even showed up in ONE mailing on all 3 computers with the question marks in the blue boxes (meaning my iMac, my eMac and my iPad) but then it just all resolved after a few hours. This does sound like possibly a server problem except today it's happening (in Safari again) only on this iMac in Safari (not firefox) and not on the other two devices.
One more thing, since they changed my radio on the roof for my wireless internet, the 5.8 phone cuts out the internet when I use it. The problem has gotten worse since they changed the radio to the same frequency as the phone, it's a much faster service than the 2.4 radio. I don't know if this is related or not.
    Thank you,
    Martha

    <Contact your ISP.
Is it possible, Carolyn, that this would mainly and almost always be only affecting the iMac and Safari in the iMac if it were a server issue? Right now Safari has more blue boxes with question marks than ever and the eMac and iPad have none. Firefox on the iMac has none also.
I should try a direct connection and by pass the router and see if that makes a difference.
I will contact them tomorrow but I want to get clear in my head first all the facts and possibilities.
    Thanks!
    Martha

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

  • Images appearing as little blue box with a question mark

Hi, I have Safari version 3.1.1 and in the last two weeks, I've been missing data and having in it's place a small little blue box with a question mark show up in Safari and in some of my mail downloads too.
    Can anyone assist
    Thanks
    Tony
p.s. I have started a new topic because the other string relating to this topic is showing as solved with cause being devleopers.

I have exactly the same problem with safari and mail but firefox works fine. If i go to a website that requires flash in safari it will say i need to install flash 8 to view the stuff even though i have flash 9 installed. I thought it might have been a problem with flash and thought about uninstalling and reinstalling but because firefox works fine it would seem to be a safari problem. This only started happening with the latest quicktime update to, and i've tried downgrading back to an older version but my pro-apps require the latest version to run.
I did the same updates on my macbook but didn't encounter the same problems, although i lost audio playback on avi's in quicktime which i have since fixed with perian.

  • What is the photo, video, music capacity of the 16 gb ipad 2?

What is the photo, video, music capacity, etc. of the 16 gb ipad 2.   How do I compare it to the 32 gb ipad 2 to choose which one meets my needs?

Videos, photos, music files vary in size.
There is no real way to give you any accurate number.
My personal music library is 966 files, 6.81 gb.
One entire season of a 45 minute tv show, 22 episodes from iTunes is 10.96gb.
    Draw your own conclusions.

  • What is the photo library volume

what is the photo library volume

It sounds like it is telling you that you don't have enough free space on the hard disk drive where your Photos Library is located. A MacBook Air only has one drive (if you don't have an external drive connected) so it is telling you that your drive (SSD) is nearly full. If you go to the Apple menu and click About This Mac  and then click Storage it will show you how much free and total storage you have (e.g. 73.97 GB free of 120.14 GB).

  • Little blue box with "?" inside

when I open my mail messages, in my iPhone, that usually have such items as the senders logo or a photo of an item in their newsletter, instead of seeing those items all I see is a little blue square with a question mark inside of it. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I might go about correcting it.

  • What are the photo dimensions in the iPhoto book?

I'm scanning 35mm slides and want to know what size I should set my output. I'm looking in the iPhoto Help, but don't see anything about the printed page dimensions.
Currently, my scans show up in Photoshop's image window as: 4"x6", 256 dpi and 1500x1000 pixel size.
I think/hope this will be OK for 4, 3 and 2 images per page, but I want to rescan for the pages that will only have 1 picture.
Should I set my output to the actual physical size of the picture on the printed page of the book? If so does anyone know what the dimensions are for 1, 2, 3 and 4 per page?
Using VueScan software, I can set the input Scan Res from 300 to 4800 dpi. Is 600 dpi enough? Or should I go to 1200 or more?
My Canon LiDE 600F scanner says it handles up to 48 bit rate. Should I set the Bits to pixel to this?
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Steven

    Steve:
Setting the print size in Vuescan will adjust the dpi of the resulting file so that the photo is set to print that size. The scan dpi is what sets the number of pixels to be created during the scan. The print size just adjusts those pixels in the file so that an application like Photoshop will read it as that print size and adjusts the dpi as read to fit that size. If the print size it larger than the scanned image the dpi will be less than the scan dpi. It the print size is smaller conversely the dpi will be greater than the scan size.
If you think that you might use a photo for a full page layout in the iPhoto book, 8.5 x 11, you would want to scan at a resolution that would give you 3300 pixels in the largest dimension. For a slide that would be 3300/1.4 or about 2400 dpi. The books are printed at 300 dpi so a 2200 dpi on the maximum dimension would fill the bill for nearly all but a full, one photo per page, layout. And then it would still come out pretty good.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
