I am a mac virgin, always used windows based pc's. I am finding it a bit of a struggle. What is the equivalent run command on a mac?

What i am missing in this ultimate mac machine is the functionality of windows run command and windows explorer path bar in the folder toolbar, where we can paste the path of any file so get that in any window, for example i browsed one file which is saved in several sub folders now i get it path, now if i want to attach that file from my apple safari browser i have to do through all the search to get into that folder where as if i wish there is any way to just copy paste that path into attachment pop up box to get in that directory directly,

Does "Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder" help in getting to a file where you know the path?
And Spotlight can quickly get to an application
If you are not offended by Application -> Utilities -> Terminal, you can use
open /path/to/your/file
If your file type is not associated with the desired app, you can use
open -a ApplicationName /path/to/your/file
As I do not fully appreciate the Windows 'run' command and Windows Explorer, I can not be sure I am even close in my suggestions.
Then again, it is possible that there are a few more solutions than what I have already suggested, if I did fully understand the different uses of 'run' and Windows Explorer.

Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.

Workflow Manager will work with either SharePoint Enterprise or Standard. It doesn't work well with Foundations since it depends on User Profiles to pass user identity to the workflow. And yes you can install it on Windows Server datacenter edition.

You probably do want 'Other Standard LMSs' selected, unless you specifically want to track to one of the other options in that LMS drop-down, correct?
The issue you're finding is that it's using the 'MultiSco' path incorrectly?
It should be using the 'Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7\Templates\Publish\LMS\Standard\SCORM' path?
I don't have CP8 setup yet so can't duplicate the issue.
If you're sure that's the problem, just backup the '\MultiSco\SCORM\1_2\Default.htm' and copy over the proper path/files from the SCORM directory... So if CP is going to insist on an incorrect path, at least you can put the correct file where it's going to grab from.
Or, of course, you can just swap out after publishing, right?

How can you get firefox to work locally with the windows subst command?

I want to test my website locally using the windows subst command to emulate the root of my website. It works perfectly with IE8 (except IE8 displays the layout different to firefox) but will not work with Firefox. All of the images, styles sheets and anything with a root path does not work. If I use a relative path (../../ for example) to the objects they works fine.
How can I view web pages locally using a website root path?

Now I understand why Firefox does not load local pages and and IE does. I followed the link and tried all the various solutions. The noscript version did not work (but at least I have better security now) and the \\\\\ UNC path trick did nothing. Eventually I downloaded the IEtab plugin and that worked perfectly. All I wanted to do was to check webpages locally before submitting to my website and the IEtab plugin worked perfectly.

viClear calls the ibclr NI-488.2 function. The ibclr function sends the following bus commands according to the NI-488.2 Software reference Manual:
ibclr calls the board function ibcmd to send the following commands using the designated access board:
� Talk address of access board
� Unlisten (UNL)
� Listen address of the device
� Secondary address of the device, if applicable
� Selected Device Clear (SDC)

Hi - I connected my superdrive but it does not seem to be working - now all I get is a black screen with the prompt - no bootable device; insert boot disk and press any key.
Any thoughts on this? I put an ISO image on my desktop and also created an image on a USB drive - however it has encryption software on it which did not get overwritten so Im not sure if this is why that won't boot.
Does anyone know if the Superdrive can't be used?
My macbook is 3 weeks old - it is all the latest and greatest stuff...

I have tried contacting MSI support and they keep dancing around the question. I'm certain that they don't even know the answer. They've linked me webpage to the new Windows 8.1 features as an answer. They've linked me a wikipedia page on UEFI. They've also told me not to worry about it. Completely incompetent support techs. I just want to know what this Windows 8/8.1 feature is. There is so little documentation on this.

What caused the Windows 2008R2 Security event discarded

I have a windows 2008 R2 server, The security events didn't recorded from last year.
1. The maximum log size set to 100 MB, But the log file is 300 MB. The retention was set to "archive the log when full,do not overwrite events".
2. Below last entry security log show the registry key that i modified at that time. After i modify the registry value all of the security event were discarded
