  • Assign Company Codes to new Credit Controlling areas after going live.

    Dear FI Experts;
    Our Status Now:
We Have 3 Company Codes, CC 1000, 2000, 3000 and one Credit Controlling Area Code 0001, and the Customers are assigned to this Credit Controlling area with no problems and we are live since about 9 months ago.
    Requirement:
We have a requirement to split the Customer Credit limit between companies, which means we have to create more credit control areas for example CCA 0002, and 0003, and though assign our 3 company codes to the new credit control areas, as follows:
    CC 1000 to CCA 0001
    CC2000 to CCA 0002
    CC3000 to CCA 0003
And my Question is, what is the procedures to follow to do that (Not a Customization Procedures, I mean the How the Customers would be affected and the open items for them and how to resolve that), since as mentioned above we are already live since 9 months ago, and credit management is active and all our customers are assigned to our old Credit control area 0001, and also what is the consequence of doing that new assignment since we are live, thanks for your reply

You will need to manage to create new credit master data under new credit control area. System should reorganize existing credit data after reassignment, that is when you change master data (create credit master under new credit control area), new credit exposure is calculated based on AR in company code and existing open orders will get rechecked for credit under new credit control area & new risk categories assigned to them.

  • Where is credit control Area in sales order. The field.??

    Hi all
where is credit control Area in sales order. The field.??
    Ahmed

    Hi Sadhu,
You may get the wrong infomation if you only checking the credit control area for customer master.
During sales order creation the system determines the relevant CCA. This is done in 4 steps in the following sequence:
    1.      Userexit
    2.      Credit control area of the payer (XD03)
    3.      Credit control area of the Sales Area (OVFL)
    4.      Credit control area of the Company Code (OB38)
As far as the system can determine a CCA it leaves the sequence.
So there maybe no credit control area in customer master data for the payer. But if there is one maintained for sales area or company code or in userexit, the sales order can get one CCA determined. I recommand using the check_cm report because it tells you the correct info.

There are basically two types of customers:
    1)Credit worthy
    2)Normal customers
Coming to credit worthy customers these customers we can believe and we will give some credit ness for them. For such a type of customers we are going to set them some credit limit.Based on that we will give service to them till that limit. It the limit crosses we will get the messages while creating orders for them.
Their credit limit can be set in FD32 T.Code.
Automatic credit check will be maintained in OVA8
    Follow these steps:
    1. Go to IMG - enterprise structure - definition - financial accounting - define credit control area.
    2. Assignment of company code to credit control area & sales area to credit control area.
    3. Go to OVAK select ur sales document type and in the check credit column choose from A B or C. D is for automatic credit control for which you have to maintain the credit group and risk categories.
    4. In FD32 you select your customer and click on STATUS icon and press enter. here u maintain the credit amount allowed. but this is done by the Finance people.
    5. Now when you create the sales order and if the amount exceeds the credit limit then u will get the message as you maintained in the TC OVAK.  Normally the system starts doing credit checks from the second sales.

What are the different types of credit checks?
    By Sunilmadho
    Credit Check can be :
    1) Simple Credit Check
    2) Automatic Credit Control
Automatic Credit Control can be at various levels :
    1) Order
    2) Delivery
    3) Goods Issue
Automatic Credit Check is of many types :
    1) Static
    2) Dynamic
    3) MaximumDocument Value
    4) Maximum Open Items in percentage
    5) Oldest Open Item in number of days
    6) Crtitical fields change
    7) Highest dunning level, etc.
    You can create more.
Credit Check happens only in SD module, never in FI. Because the stage of the check is in the sales cycle, which exists in SD. FI guys will check the credit master sheets of the customer, the MIS, the analysis etc, review the credit limits of customers. But the check will happen only in SD, while creating order, delivery or doing the goods issue.
All business have their own credit management needs, SAP allows you to specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria.  You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle the system carries out these checks.

  • Change Credit Control Area in SO

    Dear expert,
After setting "Assign sales area to credit control area" done, how can I change/overwrite default Credit Control Area during creating Sales Order ?
    Many Thanks,
    Blue Sky

Thanks Reazuddin MD for your response
The actual requirement is we currently use one single customer master (Sold to Party). User wants to post sales transactions with different subgroup of customer (such as Regular, Member, Credit etc). And this info must be derived to FI module (Billing transaction) in any object form because FI User want to see line items with different customer subgroup.
Currently, we try to apply customer subgroup with field "Customer Group" in SD; however, this field will not derive to FI module. So, my initial idea is to use "credit control area" mapping with "Customer Group" (1:1) for example,
    Customer Code: 10001
Customer Group (SD)     >     Credit Control Area (SD>FI)
01 (Credit)                                 0001 (Credit) --> Default Value in Sale Area
    02 (Regular)                              0002 (Regular)
    03 (Member)                              0003 (Member)
When user create SO with "Customer Group" = 02, the system has to change Credit Control Area from default sales area (0001) to 0002 by either manually change or user exit.
Or are there any alternatives to take care this requirement.
    Thanks for your useful advice

  • Difference Between Controllin area and Credit Control area

    hi.
can u pls tell  me the difference  Controllin area and Credit Control area....?
is there any FM is available for CreditControlAreaGetList........?
    regards
    Guru

    Hi Bojja,
    Controlling Area:
Controlling provides you with information for management decision-making. It facilitates coordination, monitoring and optimization of all processes in an organization. This involves recording both the consumption of production factors and the services provided by an organization.
As well as documenting actual events, the main task of controlling is planning. You can determine variances by comparing actual data with plan data. These variance calculations enable you to control business flows.
Income statements such as, contribution margin accounting, are used to control the cost efficiency of individual areas of an organization, as well as the entire organization.
    CCA(Credit Control Area)
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.

  • More than one Credit control area to a company code

    Hi Experts,
I have assigned one credit control area(1000) to a company code and for the same company code i have assigned permitted credit control areas (2000 & 3000).
I have 3 business areas(BA). when a customer involved in 3 business area, 3 different credit limit is fixed in 3 credit contorl area.
But when i post entries in business areas through F-22(Invoice entry) and F-29 (Down Payment receipt) the effect goes to 1000 credit control area only.
how to over come this problem?????????
the requirement is when is post entry in F-22 or F-29 for business area 2 & 3, the effect should go to respective credit control area 2000 & 3000....
Please help me to solve this problem...

    Hi
I am going through a similar situation:
    1. Currently we have one company code 9060 attached to one Credit control area 9060.
    2. Now we have to introduce few more credit control areas, 906P and 906T to represent 3 diffierent business units.
I have assigned CCA 906P, 906T as permitted CCA's for company code 9060. CCA 9060 is the default CCA for company code 9060.
    3. We do not currently use Business Area.
Since you have already gone through a similar task, you may be able to pass me some hints.
    1. How do you convert all the current customer open receivable sitting against the CCA 9060 to reflect either CCA 906P or 906T?
    2. To allocate payments from customers to the customer accounts, how would you make ensure that the correct credit control area is assigned (and not the default CCA 9060)
    3. How did the substitution rule works? Does this depend Business Area?
    4. Is it hard to introduce Business Area functionality? and what does this involve?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • FI-AR-CR Customer Sales per Credit Control Area

    Hi,
Do you know any table or funtion that may calculate the Customer Sales Volume per Credit Control Area? I need to calculate a customer specfic DSO (Day Sales Outstanding) figure. The standard AR Summary doesn't return such information. This nay be obtained via BSEG, but it requires a complex query.
I have found the function module CUSTOMER_BALANCE, but it returns customer sales per company code, which still requires additional calculation to totalize the balances for all the company codes that belong to a credit control area which the customer is assigned to.
I appreciate any input that may provide a simplier solution for this question.
    Thanks and regards.
    Gonçalo

    Hi,
I have decided to use the function module CUSTOMER_DSO_CALCULATION, and I will try get the sales volume from some internal variable that this FM uses to calculate the standard DSO. Then I'll store it on a  Z table in order to compute the new specific DSO
    Thanks and regards,
    Gonçalo

  • New Credit Control area not considering Recievable amount

    Dear All,
We have created two credit control area  "1000" and "2000" for a company. A customer should be assigned to one credit area only.
Mistakenly user have assigned  wrong credit area  "2000"  for customers and  transactions have been processed for it. Now the problem is that when i create  correct credit control area "1000"  and check the recievable on FD32  for new credit control area  it is showing "ZERO" Balance for recievables. Is it possible that actual recievable are fetch up on new credit control area so that i can efficiently use it.
    Thank you in Advace
    Nomi

    Hi
    Kindly check the below settings
1.Assign  new credit control area to company code
2.Do the settings in OVA8 -automatic credit control area with combination of Credit control area/Risk category /credit group.
3.Update the receivables by running the report  RFDKLI20
    if you
5.Maintain the Subtotal 'A' in the pricing procedure against which value the sytem should check the credit limit.

  • Multiple credit control areas

    Hi,
The issue is like this. The client has one company code and he wants to assign multiple credit control areas to the company code on the basis of risk categories. For the 3 risk categories, 3 credit control areas has to be assigned to the company code. In standard SAP, we can assign only one CCA to company code. Is there any workaround possible for this??
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi ajit
You cant have 3 credit control areas on the basis of risk categories
In credit management you have 2 types of credit management , they are, centralised and decentralised credit management
Centralised credit mangement - one credit control area for all of your company codes.
Decentralised credit mangement  - You can maintain credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes
If you want to go for your requirements i think , we need to go for user exit  EXIT_SAPFV45K_001, may be this can help .

    Hi Pavan,
Just to add some more valuable information.
<b>Organisational master data</b> : Every company is structured in a certain way. In order to work with the SAP System your company structure has to be represented in the system. This is done with the help of various organizational structures.
<b>Condition master data</b> : In sales and distribution, products are sold or sent to business partners or services are performed for them. Data about the products and services as well as about the business partners is the basis for sales processing. Sales processing with the SAP R/3 System requires that the master data has been stored in the system.
<b>Material master data</b> : In addition to sales and distribution, other departments of the company such as accounting or materials management access the master data. The material master data is stored in a specific structure in order to allow access from these different views.
<b>Document master data</b> : The processing of business transactions in sales and distribution is based on the master data. In the SAP R/3 System, business transaction are stored in the form of documents. These sales and distribution documents are structured according to certain criteria so that all necessary information in the document is stored in a systematic way.
<b>Customer Master Data</b> : or for that matter various business partners, we maintain data for them also called as the customer master data or vendor master data like that.
    Thanks & Regards

  • What is the advantage in Maintaing the master data if it can be directly ..

    Hi,
When looking for possible values in an object, I see that it has 20 possible values that can be selected while in BEx. But when I go to the object itself under the InfoObject tree(in rsa1), with a hope to maintain master data, I do not find "Maintain Master" in the context menu of the object.
    1. where could the possible values that I saw in the report be coming from?
    2. I understand it is possible that the object was filled as data was being loaded in some data target and that may explain why no master data was being maintained but it had values.
If that is the case, then, what is the advantage in Maintaing the master data (i.e. directly maintaing the master if it can be directly maintain through loaded files)?
    Thanks

    Thanks,
    On 1:
so you are saying that the SID table gets populated during the transactional data load.
In the change mode of the object, I see
    SID Table    /BI0/<u><b>S</b></u>xxxxxxx.
    a)
Is this what you were referring to as the <u><b>S</b></u> table? How do I see the values in this SID talbe.
    and can it be modified?
    b)
Also, how come that the other object without "Maintain Master data" in context menu and the one with this option both have the
    SID Table    /BI0/S........
    c)
Other than the difference I see in their context menu what should be the difference?
    2.
You mentioned that the "System just creates a SID <u>for the incoming value</u>. "
    a)
Where in the system do I see these system generated SIDs?
You noted that "But loading master data assures the masterdata <u>attributes</u> and <u>texts</u>, which are not generated while loading transactional data except for the SID"
    b) If this is so important, is there a way to prevent data loads without master data
i.e. to force the maintenance of master data?
Also, isn't it possible to load the attributes of an infoobject while load data? You seem o be suggesting otherwise.
    Thanks
