What is the name of the CD drive?

I'm taking an online graduate course, and they have sent me a CD-ROM with a audio lecture and accompanying slide presentations. The preferences part of the online BlackBoard class environment prompts you to identify the cd drive on the computer to make these things work. For a PC, it would be the "d" drive, just as the internal HD is the "C" drive or floppy drive is the "A" drive, etc.
So then they say with a MAC you need to input the "name" of the cd drive. So what's the name? I have looked in the system profiler and it says nothing, I have checked the "path" of a cd mounted on the drive and is says "/volume", but this still doesn't work. Anyone know?
Fortunately, I have a backup PC that can run these things, but it would be useful to solve the problem and make it run on my Macs.

The complete path to any CD is going to depend on the name of your disc.
It is in the form of /Volumes/<cd name>
If your disk is named 'BlackBoard' (for example) then the path will be /Volumes/BlackBoard/

I second the whole iTunes folder approach.
If for some reason you have split the media folder from the library files then the media folder needs to restored to the same path it used to have while the library files can be copied into the music folder of your new profile.
If in dobut, backup up the entire Documents and Settings folder before wiping the infected drive, but be selective about what you restore as many viruses drop active components capable of reinfecting the compuer in the temp folders and internet caches. It is much easier to backup more than you need than to discover after the fact that you no longer have access to some vital project you'd been storing in a folder on the desktop.

That sort of thing doesn't happen automatically,. Someone had to change it. Just rename it anything you like. Right click on it and select Get Info then in the Name and Extension are name what you like.

Checked:
when you add a song to iTunes, that song is copied to the itunes library folder (on your external drive) with all your other songs, so they are all in the same place, on that drive. you can then delete the song you added to itunes from wherever you added it, because it has been copied to the itunes folder.
Unchecked:
the song is not copied to the itunes folder on the external drive. this means that once you add it to itunes, you must keep the song wherever you added it from, because itunes only remembers where it is located, and does not keep a copy in the itunes folder. moving this file will make the song unplayable in itunes.

The customer enhancement projects are stored in the table MODACT. There, the NAME field is the name of the project and MEMBER is the name of SAP enhancement (that from the MODSAP).
So, if you are in some include, you can use where-used-list to get to the function module name. Then you find the SAP enhancement name from the MODSAP by supplying the function module. And finally, you find the customer enhancement projects by querying the MODACT with the SAP enhancement in the field MEMBER.

You can stream from a Mac via itunes selection (iPhoto events or a folder) - it has 8GB of solid state temporary storage, but quite how things are cached/flushed from here is a bit of a mystery - you cannot say designate 2GB to hold photos or prioritise photos over other material.
Even rentals seem to flush if you've watched them and they haven't expired - relative fell asleep during a rental yesterday so i suggested she watched it today and it downloaded from scratch again, and the AppleTV hadn't had anything but music playing in the interim. Silly this really. There's a post on another section where someone used 17GB of their data allowance to watch a HD movie as it kept reloading!
Yes you can stream photos from iPod/iPad using Airplay, but to be honest i don't think ATV2 offers that much over ATV1 for photos (yet anyway), and in some ways it's inferior.
ATV2 is far more responsive/uses less power etc but I'm not convinced you get anything groundbeaking unless you have a lot of guests who could use it via Airplay from their iphones (and with ipads currently without cameras, photos would have to come from somewhere else in the first place).

You have Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort. If you know which external display you want or you already have it, look at the ports it has got and get a Mini DisplayPort adapter for it. There are Mini DisplayPort adapters for DVI, VGA and HDMI.

Yahoo does not support IMAP access to its mail servers. It offers web mail access for all accounts, & supports POP3 access for Yahoo Mail Plus accounts. Those integrated reports in SSMS are not hosted in SSRS, so there is no URL available where you can navigate to.
The reports run in client side rendering mode = RDLC.

These fonts aren't included with OS X.
