I noticed on the ASA software download page the new Content Directory Agent (~800MB). I could not find any release notes nor other references from a Google search.

Context Directory Agent is the successor product to AD agent. It provides similar functionality buit comes with Linux distribution and has a GUI based interface. You are right that at the link you gave there is no documentation posted. Will need to dig around

Cisco Context Directory Agent - Windows logs - Forwarded events

Hello,
I have a setup testing with Cisco ASA, Cisco CDA and MS 2012 R2. All this works fine. Only problem I encountered is that I want to read the forwarded events on the AD LDS server instead of the security events.
So in small words is it possible to connect CDA agent with wmi to forwarded events instead of security logs?
Is this possible?

Context Directory Agent Path not found

I am trying to connect Cisco Context Directory Agent to my AD 2012r2 server,
Went through the setup guide and changed all needed register keys, firewall rules, DOCOM and wmimgmt permissions,
I got passed the access denied error, but now I am getting a "The system cannot find the path specified. [0x80070003]" error.

Are you're running CDA 1.1 with Patch 1:
cda-patchbundle_1.0.0.011-1.i386.tar.gz
Support for Windows 2012 server was added in patch 1. Enable
this patch using the command:
admin# patch install cda-patchbundle_1.0.0.011-1.i386.tar.gz myrepository
(see step 2a below for setting up a repository)

Need of Context Directory Agent

Hi all
I downloaded from CCO CDA (Cisco Directory Agent - filename is AD_Agent-v1.0.0.32.1-build-598.Installer.zip) and installed it. The goal is to authenticate users of WSA using Windows Server 2003 Active Directory.
During deployement I discovered CDA supports until W2008R2 AD servers. Because customer plans to migrate soon AD to Windows Server 2012, I think CDA has to be replaced.
Is Cisco Context Directory Agent the right replacement? I read it runs on a separate Virtual Machine, so I need to inform customer we need an additional VM?

What you downloaded was the old Active Directory Agent. You need to download CDA (Context Directory Agent) and the four patches and install them on a VM. Context Directory Agent ipv4 and ipv6 mappings

I have the context directory agent 1.0 patch 2 installed and running. It works good mostly. We have a duel stack running ipv6 and ipv4 on our workstations. They connect to the AD with ipv6, so the mapping is for ipv6. Is there a way to get the ipv4 mappings?
We need to map both addresses for the Web Filtering on the CX.

What is the Point of Active Directory/LDAP Specification?

My college threw an interesting curve ball today and I couldn't give him a good enough answer. The question was simple 'What is the point of active directory'. Now I don't have a lot of exposure to active directory, but I thought I could easily answer. My argument was; If you have a group of objects its easy to look up attributes for those objects using active directory. For example, if you have a group in AD and you want to verify the users of that group you simply look up the member attribute of that group. However he argued, rightly so, that you can do that with a table in a database, why do that in AD. I couldn't give him a good enough answer and now I'm curious. Given the above example, why use AD over a database?
To me AD is a way to manage a set of resources, whatever they are, by mapping them to objects that have however many attributes. But we could do that in a database, whats the point of AD? Why do you use AD?

I come from a primarily database centric background. Just like life experience, it casts a certain perspective on problems. Database people solve things with databases. Directory people solve things with directories. Everyone has their perspective. It's not really about who's right and who's wrong. It's about perspective because people are most likely to go with what's familiar when given a problem. It's easy to have this conversation in a educational environment but when you're on the job it's about turf, schedules and careers. My latest job (in which this debate comes up a lot) has been about directories which has been a very enlightening experience because I've been given a gift of perspective. I can put on the directory hat and look at it from another angle.
To get back to your professor's question. The answer is easy. LDAP (AD or other) is an application above a database. It has a data store behind it, in most cases we can just assume this is a database. So, in short, it's apples to oranges. But if we insist on comparing which makes the better juice, let's look at how we'd make a database like a directory. We could create a data model with an attributes table, an entries table and so on. We can deconstruct what LDAP data structures really are and implement each type as a table with FK/PK relationships and so on. It's sure to work because there are already so many products on the market doing this very thing. But think about the effort now. How are you going to add new users? A front-end? Stored procedures? Scripts? How are you going to keep someone from seeing things they shouldn't? You have to insert an object into all the right tables to ensure that your data is consistent and valid. In a pure database, you're trying to create ACLs on database rows. Now you're writing a full featured application with a lot of complexity. Given enough directory features, the database isn't going to be able to do everything without an external application.
What is the point of LDAP? It's got hierarchy, ACLs, group of unique names functionality and things that are a layer of abstraction above the data store. I love databases but if you start designing out a directory server from scratch you'll realize it's far beyond comparing a user.ldif to a row in a user table. They are similar in appearance but different types of software.

The Profession Tax tables T7INP3 & T7INP4 are customizing tables in which the entries are to be modified. SAP provides the initial entries and, if there is any change in slab rates, then you would need to update these slabs manually.
Please delimit the slab code in table T7INP3 and then create a new slab code entry from the date of delimition for the new rates in table T7INP4.

Versions 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 are actually patched version of APEX 3.1. As such, they don’t introduce new features, but mainly fix bugs from the main release. If you want to learn specific details about these versions, you should read the readme file attached to the patch set files (on metalink).
It’s always best to work with the latest patched version, as it reduces your chances to encounter bugs. In general, so far the new APEX versions added many new features and technologies, while maintaining backward compatibility, so existing applications functionality is not impaired. Personally, I don’t see any reason not to upgrade and use the latest version, certainly when you are comparing 3.1 to 3.1.2.

If you mean by Pixel count the number of pixels, this will not change. The image will have the same size thus the same number of pixels.

We have software that translates our LV
program to another language. Part of that software package reads RTM
files, decodes them, replaces text, and resaves them. That code is
broken for menus that are saved in LV8+, however. What is the new data

RTM files it just throws an error.

What error are you getting when running the program? I was actually able to run it without errors in LV 8.6.
