Hi I am a student and in all of my classes I see other students using an application that they take notes on that is lined like a normal piece of paper and it also records the lecture. What is the name of this application? Thanks/

When I open iOS GarageBand's Smart Guitar on Key C-Major, what are the notes I'm seeing? For instance, what are the notes when I tap the C chord string from 1 (bottom) to 6 (up)?
My actual goal is to record all string tap sounds, cut them into respective pieces in Audacity, then save them as e.g. "C.wav", for further use in another context. It is not correct that it will only work if you are logged in with the original ID. You must sign into the store with your original ID and then redownload the app from the Purchased tab. Once it's downloaded, however, you do not need to remain logged into that account. However, you'll need to enter your password for that account anytime you try to update the app.

I'm using the note taking view of Word 2011 for Mac so I can record a meeting as well as take notes. The audio of the internal microphone is so low - can I attach an external mic and have it work with note taking view?

Can I attach an external mic to my Macbook Air to enhance sound input for the note taking view of Word 2011 for Mac? A USB microphone can work with the Air, and I've used them before with my 11" Air. Griffin also made a product (the iMic) that will add a standard computer microphone port, connecting to your USB port. It's heyday was the time of the old iBook laptops (which also lacked a microphone in jack) but I think it's still around.
The single sound port on the 2011 models, as I recall, supports iPhone style headphone/microphone but I don't believe it will support a standard microphone input.
The built in microphone sits on the left side of the computer and I suspect wouldn't work well for picking up a lecture unless you were sitting just right in position vs. the speaker (preferably having the speaker positioned to the left and sitting really close). By design most laptop microphones presume they are going to be mainly used to record a sound coming from the person sitting at the keyboard, while for a lecture you normally would prefer it concentrate on sound coming from behind the screen.

I'm curious what the font is that's in the Notes and SMS messaging. Is this font found anywhere on an iMac like in Microsoft Word or just anywhere else? Thanks

It's called Marker Felt Thin, and it's already installed on your Mac. You can verify that by opening up the Font Book application in your Applications folder.

Hello the ApplicationID is the ProductID on the WMAppManifest.xml, when you create a new project, a generic
ProductID is assigned to your app, and once you send your app to the store, the generic
ProductID is replaced with a new one (which will be assigned permanently to your app
unless you do a new App Submission, which means each update will have that same ID). AFAIK once your app is certified you'll get the ApplicationID, you can send it and publish it manually, so you could
have the AppID before people start downloading the app.
(if you need the AppID for testing IAP, you may want to try sending your App as a Beta version)

What's the deal with application Rollback plans?

My department is generally new to SCCM, we plan to deploy MS Office 2010 and the latest version of Flash.
We've pilot tested oin a few PC's and it's fine but I'm urging that we also prepare a rollback package before rolling out to all users, just on case.
I don't see much about application rollbacks for SCCM 2012 and wondered if you guys had any advice opn how I should approach this. i.e. What's the done deal in this situation? Should I concern about arollback package or is there another angle on this i've
yet to discover?

There isn't really a rollback here. This version of Office would uninstall any existing version. The rollback could be to create an uninstall package to remove the rogue version in case of a problem. However you would have to replace it with something.
If you're concerned you should possibly spend more time testing the pilot.

What does the "unexpected internal application error" mean?

Hi Everyone,
I just saw this message for the first time tonight. Does anyone know what it really indicates?
"An unexpected internal application error has occurred. Please get in contact with <MyCompanyName> and provide reference# for further investigation."
This message doesn't look familiar to me at all. I don't know where Apex is getting my company name from. Any ideas?

Hi Kim,
I assume you are using the Sample Database Application or similar app. This message is displayed by the "Error Handling Function" of the application. Go to "Edit Application Properties" -> "Error Handling" -> "Error Handling Function". The referenced function is a stored function or package in the database which contains the necessary code to handle error in application. It allows you to map errors to a new error text. What is the word processing application on Snow leopard?

I recently had my old Mac quit and had to replace it with a newer G5 (snow leopard OS 10.6.2) with a 20 inch screen. I was used to using appleworks for my word processing program on my old Mac, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what application to use on my new Mac to replace it! If I hadn't had the Windows for Mac disk to install, I wouldn't know what to use on the new one. I may sound pretty dumb, but this has me stumped.

As I see it –
All page 0 items, including the hidden ones, will be rendered, by default, on every page. That will allow you to access them using JavaScript and DOM.
Application items will always be there for you, but on the level of the ApEx engine. They will not be rendered on the page, so you can't access them using JavaScript.

What is the "Other" taking up all my iPod disk space?

I have the 80GB Video iPod. I thought I had plenty of free space judging just by how little room the music and videos were taking up, but then I noticed that a large percentage of the remaining space was actually marked as "other" on the colored bar in iTunes rather than "Free Space". But I have no idea what all that "Other" is. I'm talking about 35.7GB of "Other", while my 3.3days of Audio and 17.5 hours of video is taking up less than half of that.
I go through the different tabs in iTunes to see what's on my iPod, but it seems like it would all fall under either music or video (I had about 20 photos, but I stopped synching those up until I solve this mystery). What on earth could the "Other" be? As far as I know, that's all I've loaded on this thing is music and videos. I want to reclaim that space!

I have the same issue. I know a restore will fix it, but I want to know what is actually taking up that space and why.
Any ideas why gigs of space are taken up by "other", gigs of space which could be used for media?
Apple, any answers or a fix here?
