What is the oldest (Cheapest) Mac Mini you would use as iTunes server?
I want a Mac Mini to serve my iTunes media(music and 1080p videos) that's the extent of it. The Mini would connect to my flat screen and my audio reciever. I'd like to use an older Mini for cost savings. I've tried this Mac Mini...it was fine for 480p and 720p, but the 1080p was slow in loading:
Model: A1103
Hard Drive Capacity: 80 GB
Processor Type: PowerPC G4
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard
Processor Speed: 1.5GHZ
Bundled Items: Apple Keyboard and Apple Mouse
Memory: 1024 upgraded from 512
Yeah, though a nice little Mac, a G4 isn't up to 1080p, rough estimating that you need 4 times the power & from rough GeekBench scores...

What is the earliest prior period that you would like to enter into SAP B1
Can anyone please explain the need of gathering the following information in a BBP for SAP B1 2007B?
"What is the earliest prior period that you would like to enter into SAP Business One to allow for Comparative Financial Statements?"If you want to be able to create year over year reports, create budgets based on history, etc. you can't just start with opening balances for your GL accounts. You need to create past periods and load history amounts. That's all.
My clients typically want to be able to answer questions like 'How much higher (or lower) are sales this month than sales in the same month last year?' So for a client who 'went live' with SAP on January 1, 2009, I would create 12 periods for 2008 and enter their monthly balances for their GL accounts. -
Having already established 2 apple ID's. I want to change the ID listed on my iphone. Placing the new, ID on my phone it will not accept it.
Do you not use the same Apple ID and password as you would use for your IPHONE, EMAIL and ITUNES?Where/how are you trying to replace it and what happens ? You should be able to log out of the currently logged in account for the stores by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and you should then be able to log in with a different account, and for icloud email via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars to delete and then add an account.

Intel HD Graphics 4000External Resolution
Up to 2560 by 1600 (Thunderbolt) or 1920 by 1200 (HDMI), so, no, it does not support 4k displays. -
What is the maximum number of datasets you can use in a non-global zone.
I have been trying to assign 8 datasets to a non-global zone. Whilst I can create as many as I like using the zonecfg command, when I boot the zone only the first 7 ever get mounted. Running zfs list in the zone also only displays the first 7 datasets.
Any assitance will be greatly appreciated.

Ryoka Systems Inc.Snow Leopard, 10.6.3 or later, will support iLife 11, at least for iPhoto up to 9.2.3. You would need to purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer and update the iPhoto 9.0 to 9.1, 9.2 and then 9.2.3 thru the Apple Downloads site: iPhoto 9.1

What years apple cinema display can I connect to the new 2012 mac mini?
I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display that I purchased in 2007. I currently have it connected to m7 2009 Mac Mini. Can I use it with the new 2012 Mac Mini? I am running the latest OS on my 2009 Mac Mini. I want to upgrade my Mac Mini for more storage a nd the faster processor.
Yes. You can connect it to the Mac Mini's HDMI port with the HDMI to DVI adapter that comes with the new Mac Mini, or you can connect it to the Thunderbolt port with a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

Hello! I have a MacBookPro5,1. I recently had to erase the disk and start over. So right now I have OS X 10.5.5. what is the best(cheapest/fastest) way to get current on my OS to be able to use current websites and programs? thanks!
Right now there is pretty much nothing on it, and I cant download basic things.Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
Snow Leopard General Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
2. 1GB of memory
3. 5GB of available disk space
4. DVD drive for installation
5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
fees may apply.
6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
terms apply.
Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
Are my applications compatible?

How can I have the same environment on two macs on is a macbook pro and the other a Mac mini
How can I have the same environment on two macs on is a macbook pro and the other a Mac mini ?
Forget trying to use iCloud for this - it won't do what you want. iCloud syncs certain data like contacts and events, but it doesn't sync "environments" on computers.

I just purchased a new mac mini and would like to use my old dell monitor. I tried a HD to VGA adapter converter,it plugs in, but nothing shows on the monitor. Any suggestions?
What do you mean by "HD to VGA adapter converter"?
Do you mean have an HDMI to VGA adapter connected the the Mini's HDMI port?
Or maybe you plugged n the the included HDMI to DVI adapter and then connected a DVI to DVI adapter?
In either case that will not work since VGA is analog and the Mini's HDMI port is digital only.
You need to purchase a mini displayport to VGA adapter. It plugs into the Mini's Thunderbolt port.

Make sure you get a name--brand one. I purchased some el cheapo, no-name ones and they did not work -
HT1338 cannot insert the disc into mac mini.It seems something obstructed.
cannot insert the disc into mac mini.it seemssomething obstrucetd inside.
1. Go into Spotlight from the top of your Mac Mini on the menu bar.
2. And search for "CDs & DVDs" (It's also in the System Preferences)
Click on it and a small CDs & DVDs window will pop up with options of what happens when you insert a disk into the drive
3. By then, try inserting a disk in (while that window is open. This kinda wakes up your drive to accept the disk). It should accept it.
4. If nothing happens, then manually open the program that should be opening when you insert the disk or go to Finder (Eg. if it's an audio disk, then open iTunes)
5. If opening the program still does not activate the drive to start spinning the disk, then close the programs and windows you opened, and repeat step 1-4 and the disk should be spinning and automatically opening the proper program.
Or go into Terminal app and type in: drutil ejec
The drutil ejec tip is credited to Dan8954
Hope that helps!
