What is the oracleservice in windows meant? =starting the DB

Hi all,
What does the service oracleserviceSID does in windows.
Is it the starting the oracle db server.
I know its not starting the DBINSTANCE .does it starts the oracle services to run the Db.
IF the DBCONSOLE is not started i cant see the EM
Is that means it starts the necessary process for that apllication

I am not sure if this will answer your question but I have confirmed with Oracle that if you create a service under windows and the start mode is auto, then if you start the machine, the db is started and if you look at the status, it will be open. if you restart the machine, the db will be shutdown immediate.
And i guess if you do not start the db console then you will not be able to login thru EM web internface.
To check the status of dbconsole
$ emctl status dbconsole

After rebooting the laptop a few times and also trying to reset the phone a few times as well, I just have a dead phone. The iPhone 4 just has the image of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon for iTunes. I have tried to get iTunes to recognize the iPhone, but cannot get it to. I am unable to do anything else with the phone. It seems like the phone is in a state where it does not have enough software loaded to do anything or I don’t know how to get it to. Any suggestions how I can get my iPhone 4 back into service. Note: iTunes still recognizes my iPad and iPods, so iTunes seems to be okay to me. Craig

I had this problem on my iPod Touch 4g. Just press the home and sleep button. Wait and it will give an iTunes and cable logo. Now you can put in DFU mode (Hold Sleep and Home button 10 seconds and then release the power button kand keep pressing on the home button.) Now you will be able to restore it in iTunes.

Windows cannot start the installation process

I have windows server 2012 datacenter with hyper-v role that I tried to upgrade to R2 RTM.
All went fine until the reboot and the error "windows cannot start the installation process"
I can start windows server 2012
I must say that I used a ISO file using DRAC for the install.
Is there a log to check for errors?

Just a thought, check to see what your BIOS settings are on your computer.
This problem is usually related some potential problem in the disk or BIOS or faulty hardware. The BIOS sometimes limits the read/write scope of boot sectors, to avoid virus attack.
Review the BIOS setting, if there’s any Anti-Virus settings, just disable it, and then start the install again.

It is a known issue and un-conventional remedy.
It is Hardware failure. I would get the iPhone changed for a good one.

In some case if you disabled the connection in Windows firewall inbound of
"Cluster aware updating" service it will can’t use the CAU.

Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time.
Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.
Wait.
Safari will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:

From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins

Hi Apple friends! Here's my frustrating situation. When I got the new computer (2012 Macbook Pro), I tried to set up iCloud but accidentally input an erroneous email acct. I cannot access iClod because the email was accidentally input as "[email protected]", not "[email protected]". How do I reset the email originally used to start the Apple ID? I'm stuck in a loop, and not only cannot use iCloud, but I keep getting messages popping up to register my iCloud with a non-existent email...

Have you tried to go into System Preferences > iCloud and entering the correct information there? You will first have to "sign out" of the wrong account and then log in with the correct information.
If that does not work you should direct follow up to the iCloud for Mac forum.

How can I shut off all of the pop-up windows for all the Firefox and Thunderbird updates?
Apparently now Mozilla creates new versions of their browser and email apps every two weeks instead of just creating updates... I'm tired of all of the pop-up requests for these constant installation requests and all the problems that the new version installations create... I just want to use the software and be left alone.
I can't find a way to make Firefox and Thunderbird stop with the pop-up requests for new installations... is there a way to do this or has Mozilla just got it rigged so one can't just use the software without re-installing a new version every two weeks and running in to new plugin issues and missing features every time?

Preferences/Audio Set Recording Delay to 0 <zero>
This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform.

Do you have more than one enterprise fields showing your CAD layout?
Do you wish to copy all of the them or just one of them?
Do you wish to copy the name as well as the value?
At any rate, a macro is not needed to copy the enterprise data. You simply double click it and press CTRL+C.

A macro might just complicate the matter, and force the Agent into a single option. But let's get your answers to the above first, before we make any final decisions on the matter.
