What is the order for install of the 16cd's for version 7.1?

There are about 16 cd's required for the complete install of my corporate 7.1 version.
Does anyone know which cd's need to be installed and what sequence of install is needed?

Start with the LabVIEW development CD. It will prompt you for the others as required.
After that, just browse through the other CD's for things you may want.

Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

What are the rules about switching versions?

I thought projects created in iMovie 9 showed up in iMovie 10, but I just tried creating a new project in iMovie 9 this morning and it is not showing up in iMovie 10, even though I see projects from 2013 and before in there.
Also, what are the rules about switching versions? I know iMovie 9 much better, so can I start a project there and finish it in iMovie 10? I would like to gradually learn iMovie 10, but not all at once.
I assume that once a project is edited in iMovie 10, it can't be worked on in iMovie 9 anymore.

You have to update iMovie 9 projects to iMovie 10 from within iMovie 10 before they will appear in iMovie 10 as iMovie 10 uses a completely different project/event file system. After updating you can still work on projects in iMovie 9 but you won't see any changes made in iMovie 10 and you can't transfer them back.
I would have a good look at the iMovie 10 help files first since a lot is changed and some features have been discontinued that might be important to you.
In order to try out iMovie 10 on just one of your iMovie 9 projects, put the folders just for that project in a separate iMovie Projects and iMovie Events folder and hide the project and event folders containing the projects you don't want to update from iMovie 10 by enclosing them in a higher level folder (only projects and events folders in the Movies folder of the boot drive or at the root level of another drive or partition will be visible to iMovie).
I did it this way and I'm glad I didn't try to update evrything at once!

Could be several things. Bad path, bad version, etc. give us details on your client install. What Oracle client do you have installed. App Designer is 32 bit. If you installed the 64 bit client you might get this error. What OS are you using. PeopleTools version? guessing 8.51 from your other post.

There is a "latest' version of 6i and 9i and 10g. Each of these uses a similar underlying repository. Each is connected to a Designer that generates a specific release of Developer (6i gens Forms 6i, 9i gens Forms 9i, etc).
About now, the latest 10g is 9.0.4.5, while the latest 9i is 9.0.2.9, and the latest 6i is 4.11.

Unless you plan on using a very old version of After Effects, which will cause a bunch of other problems on Windows 7, you simply need more RAM. 3 GB is barely enough to keep Windows running smoothly, let alone running a RAM-hungry app like AE. Your first priority is to put more RAM in your computer.

There is no specific other format. They are just AI files. They just have to take care to pick the right version, though inevitably you are going to lose data one way or the other.

What is the difference between retail version/discs included with computers

I bought a used iMac G5 that has Leopard installed on it, but no discs were included. I need to reinstall. There are plenty of versions on eBay that are original install discs that came with the computers and they are much less expensive than the retail versions. What is the difference between them? Would discs that came with an Intel Core iBook be totally incompatible with my G5?

I have the same problem. I have a 1 year old Macbook Pro 15" which came with no discs. I bought a set of OSX 10.5.2 install discs which clearly say for MacBook Pro on the discs. However they do not get any further than selecting English a he main language before they refuse to load further software stating incompatibility. I do not understand why, when both are Mac book Pros and recent ones too. Does anyone have any ideas?

I realize this is a late post for this thread, but am at this state of mind and dilemma at this time. Corporations generally (or always) make their decisions based upon increasing profits but always use the spin of benefits to the buyer. Talking about how much we, the buyer, can save over the course of a year, makes this sales pitch seem more palatable. But, is it really? I, and I would guess many others, are not "power users" who use many Adobe products and are constantly buying upgrades whenever they come out. I simply cannot afford it. I use the products in a very small business, mostly in photography and associated websites, with a few clients mixed in for good measure. I will buy something like Photoshop, or Dreamweaver out of necessity or because there is increased value and upgrades that I must have to do what I want to do or need to do. In a situation like this, comparing spending $600 for a product purchase with spending "only" $40 per month for a year sounds innocuous, only within the "box" of the year containment scenario as it essentially is asking the narrow question, "Would you rather spend $600 or just "$480?" But, people like me will use a product for at least 2 years, perhaps 3 years before getting another upgrade. So, that fact, the more realistic comparison of, "Would you rather spend $600 now, or risk having to spend $960 over the next 2 years or $1,440 over the next 3 years?" is whispering in our ears as we hear the spin. Once we start, we are stuck with it because those files created are like addicts - they must have their fix from that point on or not be able to function properly. And, having a largely seasonal business with the associated and unpredictable bell curve of finances makes it truly a risky choice. But to remain current, our sense is that we may not really have a "choice." Our water supply is controlled at the dam and this is surely a profit maker for Adobe and better controls the unauthorized users.
