I have an 8g iPhone and the speaker just went on it.....i can no longer hear music or have any alerts or ringtones comes through. I will be making an appointment with the apple genius but what is the exchange policy now? Will i get a refurb right then and there or will i have to pay the $60 for a loner while mine gets fixed?

I suspect not great given the state of stocks of the existing models, but you never know of course.

I got a BB Bold 9650 in Nov of last year. Since then, I have had SEVEN refurbs. Each one with different problems. My first refurb was 6 weeks after I got my NEW device. Ive had a myriad of problems, each phone with a different issue, although some had some of the same. Around the fourth I started asking if I could get a comperable phone (since I had done that in the past) after 3 phones. They said the had stopped doing that. They sent me my 5th. (it was either right before the 5th or right after I got fed up, cancelled the whole account with 5 lines. I then decided I didnt want to pay 835 in ETF fees, and restarted them within the alloted 60 days). The 5th phone, OUT OF THE BOX had issues and I told them that. Ended up taking it into the store, they deemed it inrepairable (again) and sent me a new one AFTER FIVE DAYS. I receive my 6th blackberry three days ago.
36 hours into having the phone, the mic goes COMPLETELY OUT. I call VZW in a rage. I was told (in our local store, from an employee) between phones 5-6 (or possibly 6-7) that while VZW does no longer do the comparible after THREE broken devices, it WILL do it after approx 5 of them. Since I was on my (7th i believe) one, the guy said there should be NO PROBLEM in getting a comparible device. (Back to calling in a rage now). The girl auto offered me before I even asked, a comparible device, and I thought "gee, that guy must have been right!" we fill the order, she tells me it will be overnighted, and that the battery comes in one box, the phone in another, and it will be on my doorstep today.
Fedex comes, and only the battery has came. I call verizon, and was informed the PHONE ORDER was never put through, JUST THE BATTERY (coz im supposed to do WHAT with a battery to a droid x 2, when I have a blackberry bold 9650??) I call and ask what exactly is going on, they send me to a supervisor since I was demanding compensation for the fact that while *I* have done my part in paying my bill on time, considering all the down time I have had with non working phones, dropped calls, missed messages, freeze ups, 3 days (now 4) wasted waiting for FedEx to show up, etc, I get a 'supervisor' that informs me that hes doing me a FAVOR by "going out of the way" to give me something other then a blackberry, and was well into the way of telling me I WASNT going to get the droid x 2 and he was going to send me ANOTHER BLACKBERRY, when I pointed out, obviously the order was already cleared since I have the BATTERY that was sent to me. He continued making it sound like he was doing something "in my favor" and that he "wasnt supposed to do" by giving me a comparible phone, like the girl whom I already had talked to and had gotten a confirmation code on.
***What I want to know is, what is the ACTUAL POLICY on comparible devices after recieving X amount of broken refurbs? Ive been told that three is no longer correct. Was told in the store that 5+ was the "actual" comparible table. And this guy today tells me they DO NOT DO IT. EVER. ***
Part of the reason I cancelled my service to BEGIN with is I have been there for over five years. In the last year or so, customer service has just gotten pathetic and rude (I had a girl in the store say "Whatever" roll her eyes and walk away, last week). Service has went downhill, and the devices alone are just horrible! I havent been able to keep a phone from just shorting out or breaking past six months, and some have lasted 2 weeks, a few weeks, five days, 36 hours, etc. When I went to come back to verizon I had representatives make it HARD to come back. Im confused, do they want our service or not? Why are they telling me one thing in a store, one thing on the phone? I have held conversations with people that I now write downtheir name, number, time, date, office they are in, and most of the conversation, otherwise nothing ever gets accomplished and they try to weasel out of things that should be done like they were told to be.

When I turn on my macbook, I think to get 1 DOT bad pixel on my screen......Oh..Is it my fault??? I just bought it and i didn't do anything....I would like to exchange and try to tell the reason that is not my fault..COZ "THIS ITEM IS DEFECT"...I asked the stuff overthere. If i would to return or exchange, I have to pay 10% off restock fee..coz i had already open box. How's come I have to pay it? How can i know is defect or not if i didn't open the box. I had to return my first MacBook for a worse defect. They wanted to hit me with the restocking fee. I called the manager of the Apple Store I went to over and spoke with him. I explained the same thing to him that you stated here...Why should I be penalized for something I couldn't have known about with opening the box. I told him that I want to exchange it for a new one and I would not agree to paying the fee for that. However, I will agree to pay the fee to return it and purchase it from another retailer with a better return/exchange policy. He exchanged it on the spot, no fee.
My point...plead your case and explain that you are not going to pay a restocking fee for an exchange. Be professional about it. I'm confident you can make it happen.
You may also want to call Apple first. They can sometimes override the store and direct them to exchange it for you.

Hi,
I've captured an application in training mode. It contains one drag-and-drop action which obviously is done in full motion recording.
Only thing is, this doesnt work when you then do the simulation as a user.
Can drag-and-drop working in this mode? It seems not.
Can anyone advise?

I'm guessing that you mean to ask if one is able to force a user to perform a drag-and-drop as part of a simulation?

Can I recieve a full or partial refund for my purchase? Its only been few days. What is the policy on that?

I just learned that I could use the big printer at work to scan and convert and image from the scanner directly in PDF,

I've been hearing in todays news about a virus that can affect mac computers. When purchasing my Mac computer I was informed I didn't need virus protection. What do you advise now?

It's not a virus. It's just the latest scare tactic promulgated by popular media outlets to ensure the uninformed among us remain uninformed. The fact that you (or they) characterized it as a "virus" is proof of that, on its face.
What is the advice now?
If you are running a web server, apply the patch by downloading it from the GNU project archive. If you don't know what that is, how to obtain it, or how to apply it to your server, then you are not affected and there is nothing you need to do.
Apple announced they are "working to quickly provide a software update for our advanced UNIX users."
There are plenty of bad things that could happen to a system due to existing vulnerabilities, known or unknown. There is no reason for any more concern today than there has ever been. Bash has been included with OS X for years, perhaps since its inception, and the particular flaw that was just discovered may have existed for years prior to that.
Similar vulnerabilities may also be discovered and exploited, now or in the future. The resulting effects, if there are any, cannot be accurately predicted.
Until then:
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.

I am an experienced Abap developer with just rolled off my first successful XI project.
For my next project I am really want to stay in XI arena and would not like to go back to Abap .
I wish to ask you your opinion on - what is the XI current job market status in the US?
I am hearing different things u2013 some are saying XI is not a good place to be, because there are not that many xi projects and there are too many xi consultants u2013 therefore if job is difficult to find, rate is low, slowdown etc.
Others are saying exactly the opposite -xi market is very good and it is growing , so there are jobs...
If first is true I would not like to waste time and effort. So your inputs as xi gurus will be interesting for me, before jumping to any conclusions.
Of course more info like which exactly XI skills are in better demand and what are the trends now will be also interesting to hear.
Let me know what you think and what is your experience.

Your question is pretty interesting... Well WHO can tell the future...Only GOD...:-))
Todays market is volatile. AS per current market situations we can just forecast about XI requirments, it may be right or may go wrong after few years.
But one think I could assure you is if you have good knowledge then you can servive in any Market situations.
Curently there are many XI consultants available but can you guess how many are of them XI experts...just few of them.
If you see the previous developments in XI arena, then it will ndicate you that you should be updated with latest version of knowledge else you will stay out of the race.
So before getting involve in XI, be sure that you are ready to survive in slag time of Market as well as enjoy it on on peak time.
Tomorrow Market may get down or may be at boom for XI, but there will always be requirment for good XI knowledge

Have you tried adding your comcast account using the built in IOS mail app.
If you're using the Comcast Xfinity app, then look at their support site or ask the app developer.
