What is the process that SCCM clients access content from Distribution Points?
I already know that the (Network Access Account) NAA is one method, and that it also has to have the
Access this computer from the net network right configured on the Distribution Point (Default server settings allow this). I am trying to understand what happens when the connection to the Distribution Point fails when using the NAA. Does the
client use the computer account (computername$) of the SCCM client or is the SCCM Site Server account (SCCMSiteServer$) instead. After reading
this and
this, I am not sure now. Hopefully someone can help clear this up.

The first link also states: When Configuration Manager tries to use the computername$
account to download the content and it fails, it automatically tries the Network Access Account again, even if it has previously tried and failed.
The way this reads to me is that the Network Access Account is first attempted since it is tried again after the computername$ is
attempted. Peter, I am I just misunderstanding what it is trying to say? Also, is computername$ referring to the client machine and not
the SCCM site server? Is the SCCM site server ever used which is referenced in Gerry's blog?

As you have mentioned that you are at your customer, then I presume you would want to get things fix ASAP. Thus I would suggest that you talk to your custmoer that they allow you to have the below authorisations or role assignment to your userID (you can ask one of their Portal Admin to sit with you while you work on it and at the same time, train him/her ).
As already mentioned by Koti, in the backend, ask for J2EE_Admin role to be assigned to you via SU01 transaction. Then next, ask them to give you the "Super Administration" role in the Portal via User management ...this role contains all the neceesary authorisation that a Portal Admin needs to execute most/all Portal admin activities.
Once you have finish setup, you can ask to remove the "Super Administration" role.
As a customer (myself), I give the necessary Admin role in Portal and/or J2EE authorisation on backend systems to our portal consultant with me next to him, so as a reasurring to the SAP security team and also to achieve needed knowledge transfer. Its a win-win situation.
If your customer does not want to give more authorisations...then the above mention roles/steps are to be follow..which at times, maybe afew steps instead of just 1.

I have a mac book that will not open up DVD's recorded with a presentation. I install the disc in a HP / windows 7 and it works fine. I had my hard drive replaced and since then I cannot open up DVD's. Was there a application that did not get installed? And if so what is the process.
You need DVD Player. It should be in your Applications folder. If it is in there go to System Preferences>CDs & DVDs and for "When you insert a video DVD" make sure DVD Player is selected.

On page 9, Performance there is a chart that provides maximum numbers of connected users for various activities such as file sharing, mail, web, calendar, directory services and Time Machine and the CPU used as a server (Xserve, Mac Pro, Mac Mini). This information is a bit dated as the referenced software is Snow Leopard Server (OS X 10.6), and the hardware is older also, but it should give you a general idea of what you might need to look for.

While doing Transfer Posting (Providing material to vendor) in MB1B or ME2O only Material document will be generated. No Accounting Document will be generated.
While Receiving the Finished / Semifinished material both Material and Accounting documents will get generated and the accounting entries will be as under
1. Stock Account (finished Account) BSX - Debits
2. GR/IR clearing Account WRX - Credits
3. Change in Stock Account BSV - Credits
4. Processing Charges/Sub Contract Charges FRL - Debits
5. Stock Account (Raw Material) BSX - Credits

Before you can transfer data from UD Connect sources into BI, you have to generate the metadata (the information about the source object and source object elements) in BI, in the form of a DataSource with a function module for extraction.
If your dataflow is modeled with objects based on the old concept (InfoSource 3.x, transfer rules 3.x, update rules 3.x), you can generate a DataSource 3.x for transferring data into BI from a database source system.
Prerequisites
You have modeled the InfoObjects that you want to use in the InfoSource and the data target or InfoProvider according to the UD Connect source object elements.

Procedure
You are in the Modeling InfoSource tree of the Administrator Workbench. First create in InfoSource and activate the communication structure. Then generate the generic DataSource using the wizard in the InfoSource maintenance.
1. Choose InfoSources ® Your Application Component ® Context Menu (right mouse click) ® Create InfoSource.
2. Select the type of the InfoSource.
3. Under InfoSource, enter the technical name of the InfoSource, and assign a description and choose Continue.
The system creates an InfoSource and shows it in the InfoSource tree under your application components.
4. In the context menu of the InfoSource, choose Change .
The communication structure maintenance screen appears.
5. Using the previously modeled InfoObjects, create the communication structure (see Communication Structure).
6. Save and activate your communication structure
7. In the dialog box that follows you will be asked whether you wish to activate the dependent transfer program. Choose No.
8. In the InfoSource menu, choose Extras ® Create BW DataSource with UD Connect.
You get to the dialog box where you can assign a UD Connect source object to a DataSource and then generate the DataSource with the extractor. The fields for the DataSource are already being displayed in the table on the left side of the screen. The fields have the same name as the InfoObjects that you have used in the InfoSource.
9. Select the RFC Destination for the J2EE Engine.
Make sure that the local server is running. If the local server is running and you cannot open the table for RFC destinations, start the local server again.
10. Choose the UD Connect Source in which the data that you wish to access is located.
All available sources that are connected to the J2EE Engine are provided for selection in the input help. n instances are available per adapter.
11. Select the UD Connect Source Object.
All available source objects that are available in the selected UD Connect source are provided for selection in the input help. Source objects can be multi-dimensional storage or relational objects.
The system generates the name of the DataSource in the namespace 6B.
The DataSource is then replicated in BI.
The myself system is assigned to the InfoSource as source system as well as the DataSource.
The system generates a proposal for the transfer rules.
Since the DDIC structure and the function module are located in the SAP namespace, the following entries can be requested during generation:
Developer and object key or
Developer key or
Object key and
Transport request
If you do not make the requested entries, the generated infrastructure is not usable.
14. Change or complete the transfer rules as needed. For example, if a source object element is not assigned to a unit InfoObject, you can determine a constant for the unit, such as EUR for 0LOC_CURRCY (local currency).
15. Save and activate your transfer rules.
Recognizing Manual Entries
You can enter and change the RFC Destination, UD Connect Source and UD Connect Source Object manually. In order to validate these entries and the ones that depend on them, choose Recognize Manual Entries. For example, if you change the selected RFC destination, all of the field contents (US Connect Source, UD Connect Source Object, list of the source object elements) are invalid. If you choose Recognize Manual Entries, the dependent field contents are initialized and have to be maintained again.
Result
You have created the InfoSource and DataSource for data transfer with UD Connect. In the DataSource overview for the myself system, you can display the DataSource under the application components Non-Assigned Nodes.
When modeling InfoObjects in BI, note that the InfoObjects have to correspond to the source object elements with regard to the type description and length description. For more information about data type compatibility, see Data Types and Their Conversion.
The following restrictions apply when using InfoObjects:
Alpha conversion is not supported
The use of conversion routines is not supported
Upper and lower case must be enabled
These InfoObject settings are checked when they are generated.
Based on the large number of possible UD Connect sources, the most diverse data types are possible in the output system. For this reason, a compatibility check is made at the time of generation of the UD Connect DataSource that is based on the type information supplied by the source systems. This attempts to decrease the probability of errors during the extraction process.

Apples Back to my Mac isn't really suitable for this - it is designed for a single person who wants their Apple ID on the system. It would mean she would have to share hers with you & you would also have to setup her Apple ID on your Mac - it is messy & causes trouble with iCloud, iTunes etc.
You can try Messages if she is able to begin a session with you, see the 'invite to share screen' in the menus, weirdly you need to use a service that isn't from Apple.
Messages (Mavericks): Share your screen
It may be better if you to setup LogMeIn or GoToMyPC. They should 'dial out' & maintain a constant connection so you can login whenever the Mac is powered up. It won't, require a human to initiate the process at the other end, just be aware that the router may cause issues depending on what is configured, you may need settings to enable automatic port forwarding - it really depend on which option you choose. -
Hard Drive low on disk space - What is the process of moving B1 Server App?
The partition the SAP B1 Server App is installed on is running low on disk space. I would like to move the APP from the D:\ to a new, faster, hard disk we have installed.
What is the process for uninstalling and reinstalling the server app to a new partition.

John SeftonFine. Then Backup the Client Database from SQL Server Management Studio.
Backup the B1_SHR folder from the SAP Server.
Now uninstall SAP B1 from the Server.
Restart the Server and do a Fresh Installation of SAP B1.
Apply for New License Key. Install the License Key after you get from SAP portal.
Upgrade to the Patch similar to that of the Backuped Client DB Patch.
Now create a new company in SAP B1.
Restore the DB which was backed up.
NOTE: I suggest these operations to be done by experienced guys. If you are a SBO Customer, then I recommend you to ask your Implementation Partner to do this exercise. -

Changing IP for server, what's the process?
Hi all-
I have a Xserve running 10.5 Server. It is an XSAN metadata controller and Open Directory master. The powers that be decided to switch to a faster internet service, meaning we are losing the static IPs that the outside network is using. I'm wondering what the best way to switch over to the new network will be.
All the computers on the Fibre network have 2 NICs- currently one is on 216.87.x.x (outside), and the other is on 10.0.0.x (inside). The fibre network communicates over the inside, but the Open Directory communicates over the outside network.
The inside network will not be changing. We will be moving the outside network to a 10.1.10.x IP.
Since the clients use Open Directory via the outside network to login, what is the process to switch them over? I am assuming I switch over the server, and then the clients, correct? Then, I would log in using a local account, and add the new Open Directory server to Directory Utilities. Then, I should be able to log in to the Open Directory accounts.
Anything else I should be thinking of? Tips? Advice?
Thanks!Very simple, export them as VCARDS then drag them into Address Book. Assuming your PC's mail program can export more than one at a time the whole process should take less than 10 minutes. We aren't PC people here so you need to look into the mail program you're using on it and look for the Export command. Almost surely it can export to VCARD. Once you have the VCARDS, open Address Book and drag them onto the Address Book and you're done.

I am getting a brand new iMac this month and was wondering what is the process of using this back up to restore my new computer exactly how my old computer was? When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. What's the process of uploading videos to youtube?
This might sound like a silly question... but what is the process of uploading videos to youtube?
Does the video get processed into youtube friendly format and then get uploaded to youtube?
So therefore, no re-processing is required on youtube? And therefore the video appears intantly after upload

If the above is true... then I think the best way to do the work is to process the video on my laptop and output in best format
And ONLY then upload to youtube
From experience, I've found this takes time for the video to be processed and then published on youtube
Problem: I've had about 40 videos, all of about 1 minute 30 seconds uploading from FCPX
I left overnight. he queue is STILL processing
I'd rather have youtube process and use up their CPU power!

Encode before you upload use the share function or better with Compressor (export master file anad let Compressor encode with youtube preset and upload that file via Safari or the Uploader
