What is the proxy setup and the port

Could you give a little more detail on your question please.
If you looking to setup a proxy server and port so your printer can connect the printer to HP ePrint, you will often find this setting in the embedded webserver of a printer.  Open up a web browser, and type http://<address of your printer> where the address of your printer is an IP address or hostname (such as http://192.168.2.2).  From the EWS, there will be a configuration section for HP ePrint, and you should find options for setting the proxy host and port in this area.

    Please advise. Many Thanks.

Out of the box, 1024-65535 for all of the client ports.  :)

You'll want to tune your client ports a bit
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204760.aspx as seen here, and then the client ports would use those ranges which is easier to set QoS markings.  I'm not sure the mobile clients respect that setting.
Elan's got the best writeup for Windows clients here:
    http://www.shudnow.net/2013/02/16/enabling-qos-for-lync-server-2013-and-various-clients-part-1/
However, the marking of the packets is the tricky part.  Windows can do it via Group Policy, but for the other clients you'll need to have the network specifically prioritize ports regardless of DSCP markings.  You have to do it based on ports
as the traffic could be peer to peer.

  • What is the port for on the left of the w500 between the eathernet and video monitor connection?

There is a port on the left side of the w500 that is next to the video monitor connector. It looks like an HDMI port but is square on one side. So I do not think it is hdmi. What is that port called and what is it for?
I want to hook up the computer to a tv for the kids to watch netflix.

    Hello mate,
It's a DisplayPort (that's its name) It's like an HDMI port but it's different
All you need to plug your tv is a cable DisplayPort to HDMI and it's all good. You normally won't have sound because the port is for video only. You will need to plug a cable from your audio out to your tv.

  • What is the port on the very front of my Macbook Pro and also right next to DVD slot?

For some reason the description of external I/O ports on this website only details the ports on the left side of the Macbook?

    1. If you have two small round ports at location 1, one is audio out, indicated by the headphone Icon.
The other is audio in/out, indicated by the two speakers superimposed on a circle icon.
    2. If you have two ports at location 2, one is the Sleep/Wake indicator
The other is the IR receiver port.
    3. In addition to the obvious huge DVD reader slot
The Security slot, compatible with the Kensington locking system.
These are all pictured and described in your Manual.

  • What is the port for localhost???

I am trying to attach a debugger to Netbeans. I have
entered localhost for the host name, and 92 as the
port. But when I try to step into me app, the
localhost connection is refused. There is no one "localhost" port, there are lots of them.
The key thing is having a listener running on that port on your local machine.
If you open a command shell and type "netstat -a -b", you'll get to see all the active ports on your machine and the executable that's listening.
Netbeans is an IDE that may or may not have an app server that's hosting your app running inside it. What app server are you running? If it's Tomcat, the usual default port is 8080 for the app. It might be 8888 for debugging. It'll be something else for another app.
See if netstat can help you.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Is there any way to run Siri on my iPad(iOS 6) with Local WiFi Network which requires a proxy sever and a port(8080) to connect to the internet?

I create the WiFi network using the internet sharing option in my Macbook Pro from a local ethernet connection..and set the HTTP proxy settings in my new iPad.Siri runs like a charm on an other WiFi connection which doesnt require proxy but on my University connection it says that it cant handle any requests right now..

We were having the same problem here at the School I work at.  By looking at some traffic logs and doing some internal testing, it appears Siri attempts to make a direct connection to the outside network using HTTPS (port 443), without using any of the proxy settings you may have configured on the Wifi network.
We've reported it as a bug to Apple but haven't heard anything back yet.
To get around it in the meantime you'll have to punch a hole in your firewall to allow Siri traffic through.
Currently Siri appears to contact IP address 17.174.4.14 over port 443.  The IP address may change in the future, but that will at least get you up and going for now.  We went ahead and opened the entire 17.174.4.0/24 network, as the entire block of addressess is owned by Apple.
Again, there is no gaurentee that this will not change in the future and break again.
    Good luck!

  • PCI 6036E/SC 2075, can read only from ch 2,what are the ports used for ch 1 and ch 2

in VB, using measurement studio. I am using CWAI. how to specify which channel to read from. right now, it is reading from ch 2 without me specifying it. thanks

    Benje001,
Right-click on the CWAI control on your form. Choose Properties. The first tab is the Channels tab. After you choose your device from the drop down box on the right, you can type in the Channels box which channel you want to use.
If you want to see a CWAI control that is already configured, all of the shipping examples will have this already done.
Also, if you have questions about any item on the CWAI (or any other NI ActiveX control) you can click the ? icon in the right corner of the properties page and then click on the item in the dialog that you need help with. This "What's this" help will describe that particular control on the dialog.
    Hope that helps!

  • JDBC Ipv6 address, what is the port number?

I believe there might an ambiguity when using IPv6 IP address
    format with JDBC connection address.
A common format for the connection url is:
    jdbc:subprotocol:subname
    Where:
    subprotocol = <some name>
    subname = //<{IP Address|Machine Name}[:port]>/<database name>
    Example:
    jdbc:sql:t9://130.168.200.30:1433/database1
    An IPv6 has the format
    x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x
where the 'x's are the hexadecimal values of the
eight 16-bit pieces of the address. This is the
    full form. For example,
    1:2:0:0:5:6
The IPv6 format also allows an abbreviation version where 0's are
replaced with "::". So, the above address could also be written
    as:
    1:2::5:6
An optional port number can be added. For example,
    1:2:0:0:5:6:8888
or as the following if using the abbreviation version of IPv6
    1:2::5:6:8888
While decoding this version of the address, an ambiguity arises.
    Does the address expand to
1:2:0:5:6:8888 // no optional port number
    or
1:2:0:0:5:6:8888 // contains the optional port number.
Is this correct? If so, how are vendors dealing with this?
    Thanks,
    .........Ken

    >
1:2:0:5:6:8888 // no optional port optional port numberYou are claiming that this is a valid address?
    >
Is this correct? I am rather certain that you can not create a form that is ambiguous. Ipv4 has either 4 or 5 integers. Where Ipv6 has either 6 or 7.
If so, how are vendors dealing with
this?Realistically the following situations probably exist
    - They are not dealing with it.
    - The use the functionality in java.net.* and it deals with it.
    - They wrote their own stuff which mimics what java.net.* does.
