Anybody know what the RAM specs are on these devices?

According to reports from other sources (Apple does not announce this officially) the RAM is 512 MB on both devices.

That's a nice system Kevin, and it will work very nicely with Photoshop. I do take it that you have 16Gb RAM in Total?
250Gb SSD is a good size, but you can still run short, and that will affect Windows performance. When you get your system, instal WinDirStat which gives you a graphic display of everything on your drive, like below. Clicking on any of the large areas will tell you what and where they are, so you can think about moving cache folders etc. to one of the HDDs.
Leave the Pagefile.sys on the boot drive. Think about disabling Hyphenate as it takes a ton of space, and too often crashes on wake up.

Think about another 500Gb drive just for Photoshop Scratch. Drives are cheap as chips nowadays
Do yourself a favour, and invest $100 in Shadow Protect (or similar if there is such a thing) SP saves incremental backups every 15 minutes (you can set the interval, but it has no impact on performance with a system like yours). If you have a problem you can mount the back up at any of those 15 minute points, and open files from it. You can also make a bootable DVD image of your C drive, and be back up and running five minutes after disaster strikes.

You have to install the iCloud control panel for windows, then sign in with you apple ID, and check what you want to sync.

It is true that the only way to sync your Mac with iCloud is to upgrad. You need to be running OS X Lion 10.7.2 or higher in order to sync your Mac with iCloud. I just received the masters for a new SD DVD. I would like to author a "widescreen anamorphic" SD DVD horizontally squeezed widescreen image stored in a standard 4:3 aspect ratio DVD image frame. (On 4:3 displays, mattes should preserve the original aspect ratio. On 16:9 displays the image will fill the screen at the highest possible resolution.)
Below I've listed the specs of the Digi Beta master tapes the producers have sent to me for digitizing. I'd like to know this: What are the ideal specs for a DigiBeta master tape when authoring a widescreen anamorphic SD DVD, using material with an original aspect ratio of 14:9?
I've also listed my guesses below. Please let me know if my guesses are right. If not, please suggest alternatives (and if possible explain why.)

In OS X Activity Monitor, what's the difference between 'free' memory and 'inactive' memory. My daughters 2Gb MacBook Pro is very slow, it probably needs more memory but there is almost 1Gb of 'inactive' memory but no 'free' memory when an application is opened.

Free RAM is the one that has not been used by any application since you started up your Mac, and inactive RAM is the one that was used by an application and it is not in use anymore.
1 GB of inactive RAM is a lot, and it may be the cause of the slowness. There are a lot of apps that allows you to turn inactive into free RAM. I use FreeMemory, but have a look at the Mac App Store.
If you are a developer, you can do that with a command you can type into Terminal:
sudo purge

What question(s) do you still want to ask? At worst, you bought a MacBook Pro that had just been discontinued after ten months in production. A week or two before you bought it, it was still the latest 13" model. You are probably finding, or have already found, that a 13-inch MBP with only integrated graphics processing is inadequate for the uses you hope to make of it. You will need a more powerful machine with a discrete graphics processor and a larger screen for the work you have in mind. Even the current 13" MBPs wouldn't suffice for that — a 15" MBP is the minimum that would do. Sell your machine to someone whose work will be less demanding, and get a new MBP that will meet your needs.

3GB. You can install 4GB. The computer will only utilize approximately 3.3GB though.

In the Maps App of OSX MAvericks, I am unable to locate my other apple devices to send directions to. I click on the share button and it does not even list the devices as an option. I am using an iPad2 and iPhone 4s both in iOS7 and from the same Apple ID. Thoughts?

This did not work for us. Nothing did. After hours on the phone with Apples leading to an "executive" support person who was on my Mac via a live session could not figure out why the Apple apps don't work and my other apps lock up. He's going to get back to us he said and Engineer has to be talked to to find out what is wrong. If I learn anything I will post it. I've tried every "trick" that's worked for some on here anywhere, but I've had no luck.
