Nokia has production units in a number of countries around the world, all of which produce phones using the same materials and he same standards of production, there is no need to worry about any genuine Nokia device due to its country of manufacture.
For logistical reasons, it is likely that your phone was made in a country closer to your own.

Generally the views I have been seeing about the N95-8GB is its a whole lot better build, and generally better than its baby brother the N95.

WHAT IS THE DELAY??

I have recently moved into a new build house whereby the Developers assured me that the phoneline and broadband lines are all in place and ready to be connected by an BT Openreach engineer. 2 months prior to moving in we arranged a phone and broadband package and had a scheduled date and even a time slot for the engineer to come round. HOWEVER 2 days before the scheduled visit we got a call to say that there were delays but no other reason could be given! And that we would get a courtesy call in 7 days time for an update. This to me is completely unacceptable. I work from home so it was always my number one concern (even before getting the TV up and running) to get a phone line and broadband working. I understand that sometimes delays come about but to not even give an explanation as to why there is a delay I honestly cannot comprehend. BT have basically just fobbed us off and there seems like there is nothing we can do - even trying to talk to someone on the phone is a mission in itself. BT customer services are non existent and even if nothing comes of this forum message it has managed to relieve a tiny bit of stress! If anyone has any ideas of why/how/when please let me know... We are based in the Tonbridge area.

What's the point of Nokia Messaging?

Is it just an added point of failure or is there something it can do, that wouldn't be possible to do with out it?

I don't agree with you. Besides RIM BB and Apple, the Nokia messaging has a wrong approaching to solve the push email tech challenge.
Do you think it is a good idea to add one more server to connect meanwhile your client just need to check your email server? What happens if nokia messaging not recognize your password but your mail server and password are OK?
If you do those things seamless to your customer like RIM, well do it, but not like actual Nokia did.
Additionally, all the error messages that you get on a wrong login process have instructions about check tech things that you can check because you just have and exit and a login option.
Sorry, I am a Nokia user since 4 years and I am pretty sure that something inside the strat is wrong because its takes to much time to keep Nokia on top of the market.

What is the delay with nano replacement program?

Received my mailing kit Dec 15 2011; sent in my 1st gen nano right after the holidays. Never got a confirmation e-mail that it had been received, but checked my repair status and they say it was received Jan 14 2012. Status is now "replacement pending." Any news about why these replacements are so slow in coming? I suspect there was an avalanche of requests - maybe they ran out of replacements? Shouldn't they inform us?

Yes, it is from the large number of requests they have been hit with. It can take up to 6 weeks (from the date they received your returned Nano) for you to receive your replacement Nano.
So for now, I would wait just a little longer and keep an eye on the replacement status.

What's the difference between Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2....

Yesterday I updated to Ovi Suite 2.2.1.22 from 2.2.0.245 - Update crashes as usual with OVI suite (Error Message: Could not delete Service).
I had to uninstall all Nokia SW, reboot, install first the new Ovi Suite than PC Suite (I like a reliable Outlook Synchronisation, which OVI doesn't provide).
Just tried to define a Outlook folder to synchronize Outlook Notes: Just by accessing the Outlook file - Ovi crashes!
For what OVI suite is usefui? Delete all the Maps on my phone at once (which lasts several Hours) - Formatting the memory card is much more faster
Looking whether the is a ROM update for my N82 is available - It isn't.
PC Suite still works fine in synchronizing Outlook 2010 on Win7 x64. OVi suggests the same, but immediately crashes when just accessing a Outlook file.
Possibly in OVI Suite 5 this will work, about in the year 2025.
Where there is a technical documentation on the different versions of the OVI suite, where on the Nokia web I can find out, what release number is the current version?
I think, Nokia should do a better job!

Resistance thermometer wiring configurations:
Two-wire configuration
The simplest resistance thermometer configuration uses two wires. It is only used when high accuracy is not required as the resistance of the connecting wires is always included with that of the sensor leading to errors in the signal. This applies equally to balanced bridge and fixed bridge system.
Three-wire configuration
In order to minimize the effects of the lead resistances a three wire configuration can be used. Using this method the two leads to the sensor are on adjoining arms, there is a lead resistance in each arm of the bridge and therefore the lead resistance is cancelled out. High quality connection cables should be used for this type of configuration because an assumption is made that the two lead resistances are the same.
Four-wire configuration
The four wire resistance thermometer configuration even further increases the accuracy and reliability of the resistance being measured. In the diagram above a standard two terminal RTD is used with another pair of wires to form an additional loop that cancels out the lead resistance. The above Wheatstone bridge method uses a little more copper wire and is not a perfect solution. Below is a better alternative configuration four-wire Kelvin connection that should be used in all RTDs. It provides full cancellation of spurious effects and cable resistance of up to 15 Ω can be handled. Actually in four wire measurement the resistance error due to lead wire resistance is zero.

ufortunately , it's never updated, no new content is added, and some of the contents are expired already, so why in the world would someone download such a big software just to watch it sit there in his desktop.

I know for the fact that this forum is mostly for people who have already bought the N900 and who may have some technical queries about their product. But with the N900 just been launched in this part of the world, people here have just started to understand, explore and use it. So I am one person who is just about to, on the verge of buying the N900 but have some concerns...
Maybe this question would have been discussed here a lot of time, but since I am new to this community, I thought I will try to know this from you guys. With Meego already been announced as Nokia's new OS for Tablets and smart phones. What is the Future left for MAEMO 5. Will there be no future support, Firmware updates for MAEMO as Nokia now, has decided to Abandon MAEMO. Will there be any Upgrade in Version for MAEMO. If some one like me who has liked the N900 in its current state also, but is worried about the MAEMO 5 Future in terms of version upgrade and firmware update. when compared to Android, which keeps coming out with improvised versions...Ver 1.6, 2.1 and now 2.2 slated to release... How should one look at this entire thing..

I will be purchasing this handset next month too.
My opinion is that due to the fast moving technology of this market new handsets,o.s and software will always be round the corner.
To hold off to see whats round the corner would make you end up not getting anything new for fear of not getting the next new thing.
The beauty of the n900 is that it wide open for software etc with someone always out there providing newly written stuff.
My advice is to do your homework and read up on all the info , ends users views and if the fone/internet tablet still ticks all the boxes you need then buy it.
Just remember its an internet tablet with making calls technology added on so it wont have all the usual options you would get on a standard handset.
Perform a search on here and you will see lots of interesting threads what will answer most of your questions you could have with the n900.
