What is the second level label of a mpls packet?

i thought it was the RT or RD,but i can not associate the MBGP atrribute with the mpls label, confused,
please help me!
recommending a related book would be helpful
thanks

Devang, IGP label(1st label) is required to label switch the path till the IBGP nexthop (which is other PE's advertising the VPN routes).Once it packet reaches the egress PE it has to find the right VRF to which the route belongs and then find the right outgoing interface. So from MPLS perspective it assigns a second label which is the mapping of VPN routes to label value. And as per this label (second label it identifies the right VPN). Without the second label there is no mapping to identify which VPN the packet belongs to.
Its more of the control plane and forwarding plane thing. When BGP sends the update it sends it with RT RD and VPN label to be used.
But when the packet from the customer side(data traffic) arrives that packet in its L3header only has a destination IP. No RD or RT so how would the PE's take the forwarding decision for that packet, so for that purpose the second label which was assigned as the part of control plane for a destination route (where in the routes's RD and RT values were known) is used.
So to conclude when forwarding packets there is no RD or RT information, its just labels which have been assigned when the packet entered the MPLS cloud.(1st label the IGP label for the BGP nexhop, and the second label (VPN label for the VPN prefix) to identify the right VPN for that packet.

  • What is the maximum level that a role can be resolved to?

    hi folks
can anyone tell me what is the maximum level at which expand role works. for example if i have a role which is then having 3 roles, each role has 2-3 users. will expand role work in this scenario?
    Also plz tell me why expand role does not work properly with adhoc-roles i.e if 3-4 roles are bind to an adhoc role, then each user of the ROLE (roles bound to adhoc role) recieves the notification but if any one user of that ROLE closes the notification, the notification is closed for all the users of that particular ROLE;
This suggests that half of the job is done that is resolution to users, but the other half of this functionality is malfunctioning

On Windows there might be a height limit of around 32000px.

    Dear Humility,
In general term higher level account group means which account group is used to the higher level customers in the Customer Hierarchy process.
    Or
Which of these account groups are valid for higher-level customers in the hierarchy.
I hope this will help you,

    1) Labels are used to get
when u want to do same thing fro diffrent items.
like when u want to print address for all employess to stick to hike salary envelopes.
lke when u want price and barcode of matriels to print to metrials.
    2) it is possible to do this in smart form for this we use normal window consept.

Yesterday's app here in the UK still appears to be free (at the moment) to download (I don't know what the app's normal price is) : Score! Classic Goals. If it's not free in your country's store then if you want you will need to buy it.

  • EMac 800 512MB - What is the best level of OS to run ?

I need to reload OS X on my emac, but before I go out and buy a set of CDs I though I would ask what is the best level of OS X to purchase (10.3, 10.4 etc.) that will run comfortably on my 800mhz 512MB emac ?
Is there a feature comparison list anywhere ?
    Thanks.

I just bought a full retail Tiger DVD package online here:
    http://store.fastmac.com/productinfo.php?productsid=100
It was indeed a retail box with shrink wrap still intact.
If your eMac does not have a DVD drive, the same source claims to have Tiger retail on CD:

Not cheap but the alternatives (some grey system disks) may cause trouble or not work at all.

    router(config-route-map)#set ip next-hop 1.1.1.1 ?
A.B.C.D IP address of next hop

    Hi,
You may get your answer in below link
    http://www.groupstudy.com/archives/ccielab/200812/msg00999.html
First next-hop will be used unless until that is not unreachable. If first is unreachable, then next one will be used. Since these next-hops are directly connected, router can easily come to know whether they are active or not. In case you want to set some loopback ip as next-hop then you need to use keyword recursive "set ip next-hop recursive"

  • What is the Highest Level of MAC OS X level for iMAC G4?

What is the Highest Level of MAC OS X level for iMAC G4?
Right now, I'm running MAC OS X version 10.3.9.
Can I run Aperture iMAC G4?

    OK,
I am now officially an certified idiot. I have 10.5.8 running, and was told that 10.4 makes a G4 run smoother. I did notice that, however I blamed it on firefox, safari and mail. Also I noticed that pages and word take quite some time to start up.
My apologies for all the confusion. But before I consider reinstalling 10.4, I thought I'd pop the question on this forum.
Do you think it will make a difference, and what are your thoughts on security risks if it is true that with 10.4 you can't run the latest versions of Safari and Firefox?
    Thanks bluebird

What is the best wireless label printer for iPad?

The Epson Mobilelink P60 series and the Star Micronics T300 will work over wi-fi, but not being AirPrinter printers you'll have to find a third-party printing app that will work with them. The Epson P60 now also supports printing via Bluetooth, according to Epson:

Perhaps one of those would work for you.

  • What is the iPhoto levels tool doing that the Aperture tool isn't?

I just bought a copy of Aperture, and I love it, except for one thing. I am used to performing quick and dirty improvements of my outdoor photos using the levels tool in iPhoto - I find it gives excellent results with minimal effort.
However, I am not having the same luck with the levels tool in Aperture. Look at the following picture.
    http://avalys.net/ap/original.jpg
    http://avalys.net/ap/iphoto.jpg
    http://avalys.net/ap/aperture.jpg
    http://avalys.net/ap/iphoto-final.jpg
The first photo is the original. The second photo has had the black point set using the levels tool in iPhoto (the left slider), and no other modification. The third photo has had the same thing done in Aperture. Notice that Aperture introduces a blueish color cast to the shadow on the rocks, and produces an odd effect (I don't know what to call it) on the bushes.
What am I doing wrong here? What is different about iPhoto's level tool, vs. Aperture's?
The fourth image is the full version of the original with just that single adjustment in iPhoto applied (dragging the left level slider over a bit). Try as I might, I can't reproduce the same modifications to the original in Aperture, even with a multitude of adjustments.
    MacBook Pro 2.4 15"   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I have never worked with the levels tool in iPhoto, so I do not know how it works exactly but I know why you get that blueish tint in shadows and how you can avoid it.
If you select RGB (or in your example even better the individual channels) instead of luminance in the levels tool in Aperture, you will see that the left side of the histogram ends at a slightly different position for all three colors. When you move the left slider in the luminance (or RGB) view you often cut off different amounts from the three colors, that plus the resulting re-adjustment of the rest of the histogram can cause color casts.
One way to avoid these color casts is to set the 'blackpoint' separately for the three channels. A bit cumbersome and it can be tricky to get it right. Fortunately, Aperture has a build-in tool that can shift the blackpoint and largely avoid any unwelcome color casts.
It is called the 'Auto-level - separate', the right-most button just directly under the histogram at the top of the adjustment HUD. It does exactly what I described before, set the 'blackpoint' separately for the three colors. Make sure you check and possibly adjust its default threshold settings (via the button in top-right corner of the HUD). It also adjusts the 'whitepoint', so it might do a bit more than you want it to.
I have also found that the sliders in the Exposure section do a better job at maintaining natural colors than the levels slider (which is a bit of a pity, as the level controls offer you much more flexibility).

  • What determines the order of label in a label stack?

Suppose there is a PE router, take part in igp mpls, bgp ipv4 with label,vpnv4 and TE.Then when a packet pass the LSR from CE,the LSR will put several label on the packet. Then comes the question:How can the router determine the order of these labels when puting them on the packet.
I think there's two possibal answers:
    first,it is define by some document,that's an arbitrary answer;
second,it is relate to the packet process flow.
I wonder what is the truth.I need some detailed explain or document.thanks!

The idea behind the stack is derived by the need to have multiple forwarding tables for the under lying forwarding planes.
    1) What this means is each router as pointed by you can have multiple protocols which may be utilizing MPLS labels for data forwarding. MPLS TE will have labels of its own via RSVP to forward data on TE tunnels, VPNs will have VPN labels to forward VPN data across via MPBGP, Global routes would have labels allocated by LDP to forward data between LSR's.
    2) This essentially creates multiple forwarding tables. Now where and how does the label stack come into picture, this can be answered by answering a simple question.
    3) Where did the MPBGP get the label from for the VPN, from the IBGP nexthop, now is there any label to reach the next hop yes, there is via LDP, hence you get a label stack.
So whenever you build a forwarding table for any plane through a existing LSP then you have a label stack.
For eg: if you have a VPN label learnt via a LDP LSP which in turn is built via a MPLS TE LSP then you have a 3 label stack. (the lowermost being VPN since it was learnt through a next hop reachable via LDP label, which in turn was connected till the next hop via multiple TE tunnels.)
On the converse if you have a MPLS TE tunnel running between the PE's end-to-end you need not run LDP at all and the label stack to forward data across would be consiting of a VPN label and a TE label only.

  • What is the default level of ac3 files?

I am a long time Logic user, but new to Compressor. I was asked to supply an ac3 file to a dvd authoring company. I "successfully" converted from aif using Compressor, but the resulting file was at -20db, no matter what parameters I tweaked.
Is this "normal"? Why would adjusting parameters such as dialogue normalisation, soften over... and master gain have no effect on the outcome?
Each time I adjusted a parameter, I would save the settings, and then import them into the batch manager window, but I always ended up with an ac3 file at -20db.
    Huh?

    See if this helps.
    a) Click your audio setting and have a look at the Encoder tab in the Inspector window.
    b) Under the Audio tab, change the Dialog Normalization from -27 to -31 to disable it.
    c) Click the Preprocessing tab and set the Compression Preset to None.
    d) Deselect the Low-Pass Filter and DC Filter
*Compressor User Manual -> Creating Dolby Digital Professional Output Files*
Important: It is critical that you set the Dialog Normalization setting correctly if you intend to use any of the Compression Preset settings. The Compression Preset settings assume that the audio, after the dialogue has been normalized, is at the normal listening level of 31 dBFS. Levels that are consistently louder than that result in distorted sound and erratic levels.
If you do not know the sound level of the source file or for some other reason want to ensure the Dolby Digital Professional encoder does not affect your sound levels, enter –31 for the Dialog Normalization and choose None in the Compression Preset pop-up menu (located in the Preprocessing tab).

  • What is the DirectX level of the HP Stream 7 tablet?

         Hi Everybody!!!
Does anybody know which is the DirectX level (or feature) of the HP Stream 7 tablet? I've been looking everywhere and there is no information about it. The only fact that I found is that the HP Stream 7 tablet has an Intel HD Graphics adapter, and that I should assume is either level 9.1 or 9.3 (if I'm lucky). I'd like to know before I rush to the store to buy one.
