What is the Shipments Datasource?

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to report total shipments in an order and how many days are there between order date and shipment date. My question is what datasource I can use to achieve this functionality. I appreciate your help with reward.
Thanks,
Rao.

Monica,
I think we can't get the Goods Issue Document Number from the 2LIS_03_BF. If you are able to fidn out the Material Document number from the abouve mentioned Data Source, we can go with Monica View.
Shipment processed date depends on the Goods Issue date.
We have a Shipment header Data Source, there you will all the materials. Go through the Documentation, for Shipment Header DS.you will get better idea. That DS will give you when the shipment Started and When shipment ended.
Monica please update the thread with your View.
Thanks and Regards,
Nagesh.

  • What are the standard datasource that are available in Solution manager?

    Hi All,
Can you please tel me which datasource will contain data about SLA and incident management.  The users are raising issues in SOLAR_*** Tcode and I dont know where it is getting updated.
    Please reply me asap.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Ramanathan.R

    Hello,
According to SAP Library Document for Solution Manager, Change Request Management offers you the following benefits:
    ·        Increased maintenance and project efficiency
    ·        Minimized costs for project management and IT
    ·        Reduced risk of correction and project failure
    ·        Shorter correction, implementation, and going-live phase
    ·        Efficient maintenance of customer developments and implementations
Personally, I find the greatest benefit to be centralized management of change requests  for connected SAP Systems from start to finish - you can create transports, move transports, test transports, and confirm test results all centrally. This versus management of each individual system landscape separately.
    This is my 2 cents.
    Regards,
    Robert

  • What's the difference between using a connection pool and a datasource

Howdy. I figure this is a newbie question, but I can't seem to find an
    answer.
In the docs at bea, the datasource docs say
"DataSource objects provide a way for JDBC clients to obtain a DBMS
connection. A DataSource is an interface between the client program and the
connection pool. Each data source requires a separate DataSource object,
which may be implemented as a DataSource class that supports either
    connection pooling or distributed transactions."
In there it says the datasource uses the connection pool, but other than
that, what is the difference between a connection pool and a datasource?

Thanks for the info. I think it makes some sense. But it's a bit greek.
I'm sure it'll make more sense the more I work with it. Thanks.

    Peter,
Here is a more formal definition of a DataSource from the Sun site
"A factory for connections to the physical data source that thisDataSource object
represents. An alternative to the DriverManager facility, a DataSourceobject
is the preferred means of getting a connection. An object that implementsthe
DataSource interface will typically be registered with a naming servicebased
on the JavaTM Naming and Directory (JNDI) API.
The DataSource interface is implemented by a driver vendor. There arethree types
    of implementations:
Basic implementation -- produces a standard Connection object
Connection pooling implementation -- produces a Connection object thatwill automatically
participate in connection pooling. This implementation works with amiddle-tier
    connection pooling manager.
Distributed transaction implementation -- produces a Connection objectthat may
be used for distributed transactions and almost always participates inconnection
pooling. This implementation works with a middle-tier transaction managerand
almost always with a connection pooling manager.
Does that help clarify the distinction?

  • What's the format of the datasource tag in jbosscmp-jdbc.xml

    Hi,
I made a CMP when I use Lomboz to generate the classes, and xml files, but I still don't know how to relate my CMP to datasource.
I thought may be I should configure the jbosscmp-jdbc.xml, because when I look in this file and found:
    <defaults>
    <datasource>PLEASE_MODIFY_THIS</datasource>
    <datasource-mapping>PLEASE_MODIFY_THIS</datasource-mapping>
    <preferred-relation-mapping>PLEASE_MODIFY_THIS</preferred-relation-mapping>
    </defaults>
But I don't know how to "modify this", What do those tags mean? what are those for? and what are the Formats?
    My database -- mySQL

    Activate transaction datasources.
See Infosource Overview and activate relevant master datasources in RSA5 - ECC.

It doesnot matter what datasources you activate first, it is just a preferred way to load transaction data only after master data.

  • What are the advantages of using ENC for a datasource

Other than eliminating a tight binding between a EJB and a datasource , what are
the other considerations and/or advantages of using JNDI ENC to define a datasource
reference vs a direct lookup of a Datasource in the EJB implmentation?
For example, are their performance advantages by the datasource being cached in
    JNDI ENC?

    Hello Bryan,
Basically the main advantage is to not have the tight coupling between the EJB
and the particular JNDI name that it's bounded to. Please refer to a previous
post where I addressed this issue (perhaps a few days ago on this newsgroup).
In addition, you will always gain performance improvements by caching the remote/local
    home objects for your EJBs.

  • [Sales/Shipment report] - What's the best solution?

    Hello everybody.
I have to develop a report with some sales data, delivery service data and shipment costs data.
I have the cubes: 0SD_C03, 0SD_C04, 0LES_C02.. and I thought to do a multicube, but I don't no how to link these cubes...
I don't have, for example, Sales Document/Item and/or Delivery Document/Item in all os these cubes...
What is the best solution to this sittuation?
I thought in some solutions like...
1 - Extend extractor of 0LES_C02 to include Sales Doc/Item, but I don't know if all delivery doc is related to a sales doc.
2 - I know I have all the fields that I want in the tables VBAP and LIPS...so I thought in create an generic extractor with a view of these two tables, and than creat a Z cube, to receive these datas...
I really don't know whats the best solution, or if there is abother solution to this....
I'll apreciate ideas, or a solution from someone that already face with this and developed a solution.
