The entries in blue are people you've recently exchanged iMessages with, the ones in green are people with whom you've recently exchanged SMS messages and the ones in grey are people with whom you have not recently exchanged any messages.

  • What are the drawbacks of Selective color vs. curves?

What are the drawbacks of Selective color vs. curves?

There are no drawbacks to selective color that I can think of. The alternative is indiscriminate, wanton color which, as we all know, can get unruly and aggressive.
Similarly there are only advantages to curves, especially on the right body. The era of stick figure beauty is thankfully long past. Our culture now appreciates the organic esthetic of curves.
Beyond this, you may wish to consult the Photoshop forum. I suspect you'll get a very different answer there.

  • What is the defference between select single * from and select * from Where

What is the defference between select single * from and select * from Where
which is prefferable and best one.

    Hai,
*Difference Between Select Single and Select * from table UpTo One Rows:*
According to SAP Performance course the SELECT UP TO 1 ROWS is faster than SELECT SINGLE because you are not using all the primary key fields.
select single is a construct designed to read database records with primary key. In the absence of the primary key, it might end up doing a sequential search, whereas the select up to 1 rows may assume that there is no primary key supplied and will try to find most suitable index.
The best way to find out is through sql trace or runtime analysis.
Use "select up to 1 rows" only if you are sure that all the records returned will have the same value for the field(s) you are interested in. If not, you will be reading only the first record which matches the criteria, but may be the second or the third record has the value you are looking for.
The System test result showed that the variant Single * takes less time than Up to 1 rows as there is an additional level for COUNT STOP KEY for SELECT ENDSELECT UP TO 1 ROWS.
The 'SELECT SINGLE' statement selects the first row in the database that it finds that fulfils the 'WHERE' clause If this results in multiple records then only the first one will be returned and therefore may not be unique.
    Mainly:  to read data from
The 'SELECT .... UP TO 1 ROWS' statement is subtly different. The database selects all of the relevant records that are defined by the WHERE clause, applies any aggregate, ordering or grouping functions to them and then returns the first record of the result set.

    Hello
After the upgrade of the WLC 5508 to version 7.4 the 1142 access-points LED blinking rapidly cycling through blue, green, and red. I found the followinung information to this behavior: "Access point location command invoked"
The configuration didn't change. What exactly means that? How can I switch this function?

Console into the AP and see what's going on. The output will tell you what is happening. If you can't determine the issues from the output, please attach it on this thread. Makes sure you get the whole process from boot up.

  • What is the difference betwwen SELECT ALL Column and Select Speceific Colum

    Hi All,
If the block size of the database is 8K and average row length is 2K and if we select all column of the table the I/O show that it had read more blocks then compare to
specific column of the same table. Why is this?
Secondly if Oracle brings a complete block is the db buffer cache, while reading block from disk, they why there is a difference of block count in two queries.
This difference reveals to me when I check the EXPLAIN PLAN for two different queries against the same table but one select all columns and the other one select specific column.
Kindly help me in clearing this confusion.
    Regards,
    Kamran

Usually, indexes are smaller (contain fewer blocks) than the table - ergo, select empno from emp could be satisfied by reading fewer blocks.
what if there is a composite Index on a table containing 3 to 4 columns and the size of table is in 100 of GB and Index size itself is vey large then I think Oracle will go for FTS and small Index scan will be expensive. Kindly Share your thoughts.

  • What is the criteria for selecting a license if multiple licenses exist

    Hello experts,
If multiple licenses exist for an order in GTS, what is the criteria to decide which license will finally be selected?
The log says "Number of import/export licenses that could be affected: 3" but it finally picks up one.
Does it do it sequentially using the internal license number?
We have a scenario where we are upgarding from version 7 to version 10, and there is one license (say A) which was created in the older version and copied to the new system after upgrade. There is also a new license (say B) directly created in the new version (with same selection criteria as A)
Now when an order is created, both licenses are "affected" but it picks up the license B created in the new version.
If the system was picking license based on internal number it should have picked up license A which was created in earlier version (as that had a lower internal number sequentially). If I expire license B and recheck the order, then it correctly picks up A.
So what is the actual criteria to select a license and in this case was License A not given priority because it was created in older version and then copied to new version as part of upgrade?

As far as I can see from a quick look at the code, there is no attempt to place the determined licences in any particular order.  Since they are selected from table /SAPSLL/LCLIC, it seems reasonable that they would be selected according to field GUID_LCLIC.  Within one system, the GUIDs remain in order of creation date/time; however I don't know GUIDs are formed in relation to different systems.  My bet is that if you check in SE16, your "early" licence actually has a higher GUID value than the recent ones.
Please check, and see if I'm right.

    Dave

  • IPad screen has gone blue/green and will not work

My iPad 1 screen has gone to black when it is turned on and willl not work. Screen stays blue/green for about 30 seconds and then turns off. Unit is charged fully and has been updated to current operating software. Gerry

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If that doesn't work then you could see if you can get it into recovery mode and restore it to your last backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
But you might need to contact Apple.

i erased my mac then i tried to download the os x mavericks, wich i had before ; however, i got this Could not find installation information for this machine.

You should not have erased anything. Maverick uses some of the applications from the older software and now that you have erased part of the Operating System you are going to need the Original Install disc's that came with your machine. Hold down the C key while installing then do all of the Software updates then you can install Maverick.

  • What is the difference between select and select via function normal/rfc

    what is better ?

    Hi,
    It depends on yr reqmt.
Incase of fewer records, SELECT is better because of the foll reasons.
    1) it hits dbtab only once for few records
    2) using fm, it's a reusable code, which will result in so many other lines of code are also a part of it.
If you're not sure of the number of records even tentatively, use GET RUNTIME statement to find the execution time of both these SELECT and FMs and go accordingly.
    Reward if found helpful.
    Thanks,
    Vaishnavi.

  • What is the trick to selecting table cells?

I have a table whose construction and styling is underway; it is very hit or miss to select all or part of that table. Can anyone suggest a trick to make table cel selection more certain?
Sometimes I get the little fat arrow and sometimes I don't..
    thank you!

If on windows, use the "esc" button to select the cell or the text. If you select a cell, use the arrow keys to select more cells. Whole table, select one cell then "Ctrl A" to select all the table. The fat arrow is the same as the one in Word, it's sometimes driving me crazy too.
