What is the values and meaning for parameter TCLAS in functions
what is the values and meaning for parameter TCLAS in functions like
HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
regards
janHi Jan,
Good Morning,
In TCLAS,
A, B , T will be there.
A- Master data and time data.
B- Applicant data.
T- Shift Schedule.
So, here we can say the default value will be integrated according to the above ABT.
Means in the feature ABKRS, if you give the default values for all the three, your payroll area will appear in Master Data and Time data. And in recruitment ( Appicant data ) and work schedules. Means you are getting ingrated to all the three.
And you can observe the feature PINCH also.
If you dont want to get integrate with Master data, then dont give the default value under the A- Master date and Time data. And if you want to get integrate with Recruitment , then give the default value under B.
I think u got the clear idea about TCLAS.
Dont forget to give the points
Thanks in Advance
Cheers

What is the need of creating partner functions for sales document type.
Hi SAP (SD-GURUS),
Actually we create partner functions before creating customer ex: sold to party, ship to party, bill to party, and payer.
These partner functions are going to be copied into sales order while processing sales order.
Again what is the need of creating partner functions for sales document type.
Thanks&Regards
sreenivas peruruThere are some Partners you could enter at Sales ORder Level. E.g. Sales Person, Employee Responsible, Forwarding Agent, Broker, etc.
Thus these partner Determination need to be carried out at Sales Order Level & not at Customer Master level.
So we have to configure partner Determination for various levels e.g. Customer Master, Sales Order, Delivery level etc...
Hope this helps...
THanks,

What is the difference betwee decode & case function
Hi
What is the difference betwee decode & case function
1.decode can't used in pl/sql 1) case can be user
2.in decode we can't use (>,<,>=) 2) we can use
any other do u have....
thanks in advance....DECODE works with expressions which are scalar values.
CASE can work with predicates and subqueries in searchable form.
There is one more Important difference between CASE and DECODE
DECODE can be used Only inside SQL statement....
But CASE can be used any where even as a parameter of a function/procedure
Eg:-
SQL> create or replace procedure pro_01(n number) is
2 begin
3 dbms_output.put_line(' The number = '||n);
4 End;
5 /
Procedure created.
SQL> set serverout on
SQL> var a varchar2(5);
SQL> Begin
2 :a := 'ONE';
3 End;
4 /
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> Begin
2 pro_01(Decode(:a,'ONE',1,0));
3 End;
4 /
pro_01(Decode(:a,'ONE',1,0));
ERROR at line 2:
ORA-06550: line 2, column 9:
PLS-00204: function or pseudo-column 'DECODE' may be used inside a SQL
statement only
ORA-06550: line 2, column 2:

SQL> Begin

What is the use of To_date, to_char functions?
what is the use of To_date, to_char functions?
while i am using these in my day to day activities but never able to know the exact working of tehse.
Message was edited by:
437022Dates are stored and manipulated as coded (binary) values that always contain "century, year, month, date, hour, minute second"
We don't want to see the date as stored. We want to see the characters (digits) that make up the date. So we use to_char(the-date-value)
We want to tell the system a date, but have a heck of a time entering the binary. So we input the characters (digits) that make up the date and tell the system to convert that to a binary 'date' using to_date(our-string-that-respresents-dates)
The magic Oracle has added is the format codes (see chapter 2 of the SQL Reference manual for the complete list). We can get the system to print out dates and times, including day of week (and so on) using format codes.
The default format is to show us the date but not the time. Which leads a lot of people to believe that the time is not stored. -
What are the adv and disadv of using SRM as an addon?
Hi Friends
what are the adv and disadv of using SRM as an addon
Regards
SimhaHi Simha,
Here are my view points on SRM and ECC one client deployment: The decison to have one client for SRM and ECC is more driven by the business model of the client and functionalities one need out of SRM .Following points needs to considered before deployment:
1) ERP and SRM as an add-on does not support any multiple-backend functions or hub deployment for procurement.
2) Upgrade or migration from SRM system to ERP with SRM as add-on is not supported
3) Strategic sourcing scenarios in SRM are not used by clients with such deployments
4) Although SRM is running on the same client as ECC the purchasing organization have to be maintained in both MM and SRM system
5) From HR Orgstructure stand point there is no additional benifit in same client deployment as compared to seperate deployment
6) From Security stand point its better to have a seperate client for SRM-vendor registration as this functionality is exposed to outside world and internet.
7) Master Data Synchronization is a positive point which is only available within the SRM Add-on deployment with ECC
8) For SRM and ECC (seperate) master data management remains asynchronous and unidirectional
Thanks, -
What is the table and purpose?
let me know what is the table and its contents and purpose....i wil be thanks to you if i get answers
Table is a data repository in which all the master data and transactional data gets stored. All components/ data of SAP stored in Tables.
<b>SAP Table Types</b>
I. Transparent tables (BKPF, VBAK, VBAP, KNA1, COEP)
Allows secondary indexes (SE11->Display Table->Indexes)
Can be buffered (SE11->Display Table->technical settings) Heavily updated tables should not be buffered.
<b>II. Pool Tables (match codes, look up tables)</b>
Should be accessed via primary key or
Should be buffered (SE11->Display Table->technical settings)
No secondary indexes
Select * is Ok because all columns retrieved anyway
<b>III. Cluster Tables (BSEG,BSEC)</b>
Should be accessed via primary key - very fast retrieval otherwise very slow
No secondary indexes
Select * is Ok because all columns retrieved anyway. Performing an operation on multiple rows is more efficient than single row operations. Therefore you still want to select into an internal table. If many rows are being selected into the internal table, you might still like to retrieve specific columns to cut down on the memory required.
Statistical SQL functions (SUM, AVG, MIN, MAX, etc) not supported
Can not be buffered
<b>IV. Buffered Tables (includes both Transparent & Pool Tables)</b>
While buffering database tables in program memory (SELECT into internal table) is generally a good idea for performance, it is not always necessary. Some tables are already buffered in memory. These are mostly configuration tables. If a table is already buffered, then a select statement against it is very fast. To determine if a table is buffered, choose the 'technical settings' soft button from the data dictionary display of a table (SE12). Pool tables should all be buffered.
to know about structure. Please refer the link

What is the role of a HR functional consultant in the ESS/MSS configuration
Hi Guys,
If someone can suggest me what is the role of a HR functional person in the ESS/MSS or EP configuration and what needs to be done to achieve that..
Thanks,
~RJI think, HR Functional consultant role should mandatory for ESS/MSS. ESS/MSS are user interface technologies but behind the scene. It is all about HR FC. In order to learn ESS/MSS you should start base NetWeaver Architecture & Iviews concept.
You will find it more easy since you knw back-end.
Thanks,

What are the levels and points when you go to yor profile here on the website
what are the levels and points when you go to your profile here on the website? and what do they do?
Welcome!
The level system is rather thinnly explained in this ASC tutorial:
Reputation points, status levels and privileges
What you get for it--that I know of--is that, at Level 2, you get the privilege of using the "Report Abuse" function to tell the Hosts about an abusive poster, inappropriate post, or even to ask that a post be moved to another, more appropriate forum area for the subject matter.
At Level 6, you get Lounge privileges where you have direct access to the ASC Hosts for helping with forum function issues, and to an area where you can hobnob with other Wizards.
The list of all ASC tutorials is here:

What is the Merits and De-Merits if we choose Item or Service Items.
Hi,
Please guide me what are the merits and de merits if we choose Items or Service Items when we are adding AR Invoice under AR Modules.we are using SAP B1 43.
Item: Item to create a sales document for items defined in the Inventory module
Service Item:Service to create a sales document for a service that has not been defined as an Item in SAP Business One, such as a one-time consultation. please share your points.
Regds,
Samapth Kumar Devunuri.Hi Samapth,
It is clear based on the definition you known. Depending on you business process, the more of the item types, the better. That is because you can do all kinds of analysis and breakdown the accounting details easily. Service types are usually only applied to one time or small amount sales.
Thanks,
Gordon
