What is the URL that Adobe Acrobat needs to contact for Activation after you enter the serial number? We need to allow internet access to our users for it.

there are quite a few but they all are on the adobe.com domain.

    Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
    Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

    When I bought PSE11 at Best Buy, I think that number on the back of the box (a boxid lets call it) is something that has to be entered into a website to get the serial number.  The instructions, Including any website, should all be there if you have all what was in the box. 
    Best Buy transmits what boxids have been sold in real-time to Adobe from the cash-register, and Adobe checks the boxid you enter into the website with the list of actual sold boxes they’ve gotten from Best Buy, before they will issue the serial number.

    If you buy an Upgrade you will need to have a previous version of Lightroom ... a Full version doesn't need a previous serial number.
    Did you buy and "Upgrade" or "Full" version?
    If you wanted full but bought an upgrade you will need to contact Adobe customer support.

    After five hours of trying, I was able to overcome the flaw in the form, as it appeared on the Acrobat website, and
    complete the two pull-down menus indicating the State in which I live.
    I called Adobe Customer Care for assistance and had to wait two hours for a return call, and by the time the
    call came though I had found that the website form allowed me to pull-down for the State of location.
    Adobe is an uncaring vendor, once it has your money in hand.

    I guess we're stuck - I have client that is very strict about licenses and someone there bought 20 CS4's (boxes, not a site-license) so, now if someone didn't bother to mark the serial number on the Mac with a Sharpie, the only way I will know if that serial number is used, is if I install it on a Mac and open all the copies of PhotoShop (or whatever) on the 19 other Macs and see if I get a "that serial number is already in use" message... right?  Ooops, Adobe, not nice to make things hard on the _honest_ clients.

    Since you didn't answer the question of where you got Photoshop, I should point out that this is not as some people say "free Photoshop". You are only allowed to use it if you were a previous license holder of Photoshop CS or Photoshop CS2. Otherwise it's piracy. No problem at all if you are just trying to reinstall an old license, but worth pointing out as some people have found themselves in deep water.
