For what does the BPEL engine need a domain ?
Where (in which file) is specified to which domain the BPEL Manager
    connects to?
Is it a difference if the domains are defined in table
    orabpel.domain
    or just
    domain
? With which user/password/service does to BPEL Manager connect to
Oracle DB to search for its domain?
Background: My domain "default" exists in table but BEPL Manager could not connect here

We currently have 3 domains for BPEL. We use them because they a) serve different purposes, b) we tweak the domain level threads.
I believe bpel manager will, by default, connect to the which ever domain starts with the letter closest to A.
I also think the user account is orabpel, which connects to the bpel schema.

    Hello,
One of my BPEL processes loses instnaces in the BPEL console.
    OS: AIX 5.3 oslevel –s:5300-04-02
    SOA Suite 10.1.3.4
I feel I hit the same problem as this thread, process is supposed to be in a jta transaction
But I have set following 3 values (all in seconds), and I still have the problem. The SYNC call is to query the Oracle EBS PO by PO NO, and get its po lines, line shipments, and shipment distributions by Oracle Database Adapter. If my PO just had one line, the process instance can be seen in the console, otherwise it won't, but all these instances are finished, because in the end the process will enqueue a message into a queue. And I can see all these messages there. Anyone can help? Thanks!

    Hi Kerr,
These are the possible cause to the problem and their solutions:
Poor performance of the dehydration database If you are using Oracle Lite as dehydration store, please switch to use Oracle 9i or 10g. If Oracle 9i/10g is already in use, check the database parameter 'process' and 'session' to make sure it can handle the expected throughput.
OC4J has too few available connections to the dehydration database. Increase the maxConnection number of the BPELServerDataSource at the BPEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/data-sources.xml (for developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/data-sources.xml (mid-tier installation).
Size of message is too big Two ways to deal with this problem:
Increase the transaction timeout at PEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/server.xml (developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/server.xml (mid-tier installation) : http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/app_trblshoot.htm#sthref3957
Decrease the auditLevel from BPELConsole -> Manage BPEL Domain -> Configurations tab. Doing so will reduce the amount of data saved to the dehydration store.

  • Descriptor properties not getting updated from the BPEL console.

    Hi,
I am facing issues with updating the descriptor properties, like path for the rejectedMessageHandlers for file adapter, from the BPEL console. The issue is indeterministic in nature, meaning sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, but majority of the times it does.
I tried this putting the BPEL process in the turned off sate as well, but no good.
The BPEL PM version is 10.1.2.0.2
    Thanks,

    Hi Clemens,
Could you please update me on this issue, if this is a bug.

  • What is the java console?

what is the java console and why do i see a little java logo in my sys tray when i start netscape 6, but not when i start ie5?
    thanks,
    erik

The Java Console is where output to System.out and System.err goes when you run an applet in a browser. It's the first place to look when you have trouble running an applet, because it will show the exception and stack trace information.
Netscape 6 uses the Java Plug-In to provide Java 2 support, but IE has native JDK 1.1 support. The Java logo appears when you use the Java Plug-In.

    Hi Julian,
I am also having the very similar kind of issue as Naresh.
Thanks for your positive reply that it is possible.
I would like to know whether the server URL of the HTTP system is right if it is like "http://someportal.companyname.com:50000/irj/portal". Because if I give this as the server URL, I am not in even able to see the folder(the prefix name which we give during WebDAV repository creation) in the KM Content iView.
If it is wrong, what is the right format of the server URL to be used in the HTTP system creation?
I am able to see the folder(the prefix name which we give during WebDAV repository creation) without content if the server URL is like "http://someportal.companyname.com". But I feel this is not right as we are not even specifying the port number as "50000" here.
And what is the system path to be used during the Repository creation? can that be "/documents"? If so, can all the documents under "/documents" be accessed from the WebDAV repository?
Your reply will be of great help to me as I am in urgent need of a solution to this problem.
    Thanks & Best regds,

  • What's the default console font?

And what size/weight is it? I used to think this font was ugly and unfriendly, but I've grown more attached to it over time. I would also like to use this same font in X, as my urxvt/xterm default font. Is this possible?

I tried various combinations of Fixed, and I think that's the font, but the closest I got was size 15 bold. The problem is it's still too wide and some of the glyphs are off. I remember reading about the default font in Windows Powershell and most Linux Consoles on Wikipedia, but I can't remember what it said
If only I knew! There might even be a truetype version floating around the net.

Use setIndex(value) in java embedding to set index. You can then search using the value you provided.

  • [Solved]What WM would be best for a dedicated console emulator box?

    Hey all
So, using a recycled, slightly old small-form-factor computer, I am making a dedicated emulation box. It will run game console emulators for every game system I can think of. But anyways, that is what I intend to use this box for, and only that. I have been setting it up from an Arch Linux base install, aiming to consume the least resources I can (because it is an older box, and I want the best performance with my emulators). I need a recommendation on a Window manager that therefore:
-Does not have ANY sort of taskbars/titlebars/other stuff in the way.
    -Consumes the least resources possible
Now, the current winner is just a default X11 shell that is seen when xinit is run. However, the shell does not cover the whole screen. I want the screen to be all one colour. Because I want the look of using this box with my friends to make it look put together.
    Any recommendations?

I dunno about dwm, it has some bugs with fullscreen apps - funnily enough emulators seem to give it trouble, ScummVM will not run fullscreen on my install for instance.
I'd vote for Openbox, it has no taskbar or anything by default, windows will be initially themed but you can disable window borders and even the right click menu if you wish.
I was thinking openbox at first, because I use it on my main computer and know it pretty well. Thanks.
I was considering dwm, but thanks for the advisory about the fullscreen bugs.
I'll give evilwm a shot too. And give making the x11 shell bigger a shot too.
Thanks for the recommendations, but I have another quick question:
Is there any way to automatically login to the root account on the TTY without the use of X? This machine, once setup, will be only in my house and not connected to the internet, so the dangers of running as root are virtually 0. I want this because, on boot, I will just have to press power, and then without doing anything (aided by a bit of bash) I will be taken to a menu of sorts to select what console and game I want to play.

  • What is the maximum filesize for a FTP Adapter?

I have xml files with 1000's of records to read in. The file size can range anywhere from a few MB up to ~100MB. Most of them are about 50 MB.
The FTP adapter works when I have a small file, but with larger ones it apparently times out. Once it runs into a big file like this, it won't process any more files until I restart the process. It doesn't show any faults or even any record of a running instance in the BPEL Console, so I have no idea specifically when it breaks. I uploaded a 10MB file to my ftp server and left it for a half hour, but nothing showed up, so I'm assuming it's broken rather than just taking a long time.
What is the maximum file size for a FTP adapter? Can I change this somewhere? I looked in the ...\application-deployments\default\FtpAdapter\oc4j-ra.xml file but couldn't find any settings to change.

Well no luck on my end and it doesn't look like anybody else has any ideas either. This thread Re: FTP Adapter, Java Embedding, ... says that if you can't get the functionality you need out of the default one, you should write your own FTP adapter in JCA. I looked at JCA and would like to write a simple polling adapter and then put all my FTP code in embedded java.
Can somebody explain how I could achieve the basic FTP Adapter polling functionality in JCA? I'm having difficulty figuring out how to have an ongoing polling process without instantiating a BPEL process itself, like the existing FTP adapter does. I don't want to set off on writing my own adapter if it's going to be a much larger undertaking than I have time for.
Also, is the source code open for the default FTP adapter? It would be great if I could just modify the few things I need to change rather than write one from scratch.

  • What is the max file limit for FTP adapter that uses FileIoInteractionSpec

    Hi,
I know that Oracle provided some new features in 10.1.3.4 using which we can use the file and ftp adapter to move files in a more efficient way
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/relnotes.1013/e12523/adapters.htm#CHDGFAAB
Essentially it involves modifying the WSDL to use the new InteractionSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileIoInteractionSpec"
Now my question is, what is the file size limit which can be transferred using this.
I have tried with 20 mb file, it works. But I want to know the upper limit.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Tried with 31 mb file.
It successfully delivers the file but....
