What is the Windows 8/8.1 Feature in BIOS?

I have tried contacting MSI support and they keep dancing around the question. I'm certain that they don't even know the answer. They've linked me webpage to the new Windows 8.1 features as an answer. They've linked me a wikipedia page on UEFI. They've also told me not to worry about it. Completely incompetent support techs. I just want to know what this Windows 8/8.1 feature is. There is so little documentation on this.

Workflow Manager will work with either SharePoint Enterprise or Standard. It doesn't work well with Foundations since it depends on User Profiles to pass user identity to the workflow. And yes you can install it on Windows Server datacenter edition.

Hi - I connected my superdrive but it does not seem to be working - now all I get is a black screen with the prompt - no bootable device; insert boot disk and press any key.
Any thoughts on this? I put an ISO image on my desktop and also created an image on a USB drive - however it has encryption software on it which did not get overwritten so Im not sure if this is why that won't boot.
Does anyone know if the Superdrive can't be used?
My macbook is 3 weeks old - it is all the latest and greatest stuff...

1. The maximum log size set to 100 MB, But the log file is 300 MB. The retention was set to "archive the log when full,do not overwrite events".
2. Below last entry security log show the registry key that i modified at that time. After i modify the registry value all of the security event were discarded

1. Mainstage - Even though I probably won't use Logic for live performance much, I love how simple, clean, and intuitive the interface looks. I will probably use this when composing as it seems to be one of the easiest ways to route drum pads, create keyboard layers, etc. really quickly, and the interface is very inviting.
2. Delay designer looks really fun. I remember spending 30 minutes once in Sonar trying to get the stupid delay to do a really simple thing. I finally gave up and layered the audio data to make my own delay because it didn't give me enough control to make it happen in the plugin. It looks like I could have just drawn it into the Delay Designer and been done with it.
3. Import from Garageband - Not a new feature, but I love using Garageband as a musical notepad when all I want to do is create something simple or jot down an idea. In this period, I don't need all the features of Logic, but I will eventually, and then I just open it up in Logic and get more advanced.

Portege R700 - What is the "Optical Drive auto lock" feature?

On my R700 (Windows 7) I see an icon in the taskbar that shows whether my Optical Drive is powered ON or OFF. I can toggle this with Fn-TAB. If you context click the icon it offers you "Optical Drive auto lock" and an "Unlock time settings" - what does this do?
I can't find it documented anywhere and it appears to be independent of the ODD being ON or OFF.

Hi buddy,
In my opinion this has something to do with the power saving function of your optical drive. If you press and hold FN+Tab key you have the following options:
1) Powers on.
2) Ejects the drive.
3) Powers off. Drive will disappear from My computer.
So I think this tool can help you to save battery life :)

What should the windows explorer directory be for the ipod?

i have a 60gig ipod video.
i plugged into a computer in bangkok and i think my ipod music folder and others folders got shuffled around. when i turn on the ipod it shows completely empty, but the memory is still reading correct-50 gigs used, 7 free. I freaked out at first as i have no back up any more. But now i am quite sure that everything is still on there--i just need to move and rename folders and remove the ones inproperly put on there by the bad bad bangkok computer. So, could someone look at their ipod in windows explorer (make sure you are viewing hidden files as well and give me a breakdown of the normal directory tree -- or perhaps there is an online presentation of this.

Is this what you want?
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This is a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.

What are the default, given or otherwise features of SAP netweaver/enterprise portal. I do not want to redo a function or feature/template of the feature/basic iview (portlet) already exists. And where I can find/get these features.

yes, there is preconfigured content (templates) in the portal.

You'll find two entries in the left hand navigation: "Pre-configured Roles" and "Standard Portal Content".
The information is not that detailed but you might get a first impression.
Besides the standard portal content there are so called Business Packages, which provide pre-configured iViews, pages, worksets and roles for specific business processes / scenarios. You can find them [here in SDN|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/contentportfolio].

Z87-GD65 Enable "Windows 8/8.1 Feature" = Won't boot, Disabled = Boots up

How do I enable Windows 8/8.1 Feature in the Z87-GD65 Settings? When I turn it on, Windows 8.1 no longer will boot. (see video below of what happens) Is this because I didn't have it enabled BEFORE I installed Windows? If so can I fix this without a re-install? My C: is a 120GB SSD. I have about 12 other 3TB Hard Drives installed as well with 2 secondary SATA cards installed.

What is the reason contract phones cannot be used on a prepaid plan?

I originally posted this question in the Basic Phones forum, but I think that may have been the wrong place to ask this.
I am interested in activating a phone on the $50 basic phone prepaid plan, but the phone I tried to activate would not work. It was the Casio Ravine 2 C781.
I already know that contract phones will not work on the prepaid plan. I also have already spoken with two customer service reps, and they were helpful, but they could not answer my questions.
What is the actual reason that basic feature contract phones will not work on the prepaid basic plan? Is it the PTT feature?
The Ravine 2 was new with a clean ESN, and it's just a basic phone. I don't blame anyone except myself, but I would like to avoid this in the future. btw, I gave the Ravine to my mom and dad who are on a contract plan, and it is working great.
One of the reps I spoke with said that this may change in the near future, and that phones like the Ravine 2 may work on the prepaid plan soon. Does anyone know if this is true?
To make things more confusing, I just read an older post that states if a contract phone like the Ravine is activated for at least 6 months, it then can be activated on a prepaid plan. Is there any truth to this?
Finally, I understand that there are some basic flip phones available that I can purchase like the Revere 2 and the Gusto 2, but I prefer the quality of the Ravine 2. I need the rugged phone capability due to my work environment.

Have you checked the link Simon provided? Any progress?
For your information, the Servermanager.msc is dependent on the .NET framework. Any improper modification of the "Default Authentication Level" will cause the COM
modules related to .NET framework abnormal. When we attempt to install of Roles and Features to impersonate as ANONYMOUS LOGON, this security context doesn’t have permission on any of the System Folders and hence we are failing with the above error listed.
To fix the issue, please configure the related settings to default as the KB971509 suggested.
