What is the WPS button of my access point?

HELP! What is the WPS button of my access point?

The WPS button is what allows the printer to be recognized by the router. Sometimes it's a real hardware button and sometimes it's a software button. The instructions got your router/AP will tell you.
This may help: http://usa.canon.com/app/html/web_tutorial/WiFi-MX870_350/
Its pretty generic.

  • What is the WPS button on my access point?  I am trying to setup wirelessly with a canon MX892 printer

Printer setup instructions say to press the WPS  button on the access point (my 4th gen Time Capsule).  Does that mean hit reset and will I have to setup every other device again by doing that?

No, do not hit reset .. it is not a WPS button.
Apple products do not use WPS, so no WPS button is needed. And they have no need to implement one.. nothing exists outside the Apple bubble.. didn't you know that??
Read the forum expert Tesserax instructions for using WPS. https://discussions.apple.com/message/16034147#16034147
But it is better to plug in your printer to a mac by usb and use the disk provided to do a full manual setup of wireless.. WPS is simply the easy way.

  • What is the WPS button, and where do I find it??????

A guest set up their computer and printer to mine today as a guest.   My wireless printer now will not work for me.    In trying to reinstall the printer, I came across the message,... press and hold the WPS button for 5 seconds......I cannot find that button.  I know I set this darn thing up before, but I can't for the life of me find it now.   Please help

As I stated, I have a PIXMA MG5400 Canon printer, scanner, etc. This Canon product did not have a booklet of instructions, phone numbers, or anything that references issues or problems a consumer can have with installing their product. This product is supposed to be wireless, yet it seems Canon wants you to "hardwire" activation. I have an ASUS laptop computer with Windows 8.1 on it. My computer does take a DVD. Therefore, I have to seek a driver from Canon's website. I am trying to download a driver for it. When I went to the Canon website and chose a driver. When I attempted to download the driver, I received an error message telling me the driver was outdated. It gave me a list of other drivers to download. When I tried to download the drivers or fix the problem, it ask to activate my account by putting in a license number. It said I should have received a license number by email. I bought this Canon printer at Sam's Club. I did not get a license number, nor did I give my email address to anyone to send me a license number. How do I get a license number? Is there a Canon representative I can talk too? Please assist. I need access to my product. Thanks.

  • HT3500 where is the WPS button on Airport Express?

Trying to set-up Airprint on a Canon Pixma MG5420 but the printer is asking me to press the WPS button on the router but there is none on Airport Express??

Sorry, I don't have a PC here to test with.
What version of AirPort Utility are you using?  You should have 5.6.1 for Windows.  The Mac version of 5.6.1 does have a setting to add WPS devices, except it is called Add Wireless Clients.
If the Windows version does not, then your printer should have an option to add the device manually, not using WPS.

  • What's the quickest way to open Access Connections?

What's the quickest way to open Access Connections, apart from its Taskbar level meter?
I prefer to use the Power Manager battery meter instead, as it looks pretty ugly when both are used, and they take up too much space.
Fn+F5 no longer gives any access to Access Connections either.  And it is not integrated into the standard Windows network system tray icon's right-click menu, like Power Manager is with the standard power system tray icon.
You cannot even type Access Connections in the Start Menu search box, as the shortcut is called something else, which I can never remember.
Ideally, I would at least like to be able to access it though the Fn+F5 box again (I'm pretty sure it was possible in versions).

What is the "Extract" button at the bottom the DNG converter dialog box for ?
    THANK YOU

In DNG Converter you have an option to embed the original RAW files (CR2, NEF etc) into the DNG file (see screenshot). Later you might want to extract them back, for example, for converting in camera-maker's own software.
So, if you have any DNGs with original RAWs embedded, Extract button will get them back.

  • What is the best way to remotely access my sister in laws Mac who lives in another city to help her with her computer problems?

    as stated above
What is the best way to remotely access my sister in laws Mac who lives in another city to help her with her computer problems?

The best way? Get her to bring it to you, especially if she makes good cakes.
Apples Back to my Mac isn't really suitable for this - it is designed for a single person who wants their Apple ID on the system. It would mean she would have to share hers with you & you would also have to setup her Apple ID on your Mac - it is messy & causes trouble with iCloud, iTunes etc.
You can try Messages if she is able to begin a session with you, see the 'invite to share screen' in the menus, weirdly you need to use a service that isn't from Apple.
    Messages (Mavericks): Share your screen
It may be better if you to setup LogMeIn or GoToMyPC. They should 'dial out' & maintain a constant connection so you can login whenever the Mac is powered up. It won't, require a human to initiate the process at the other end, just be aware that the router may cause issues depending on what is configured, you may need settings to enable automatic port forwarding - it really depend on which option you choose.

    What is the home button?

You might want to peruse the user's guide for your iPhone:

  • Where is the WPS button

    where is the wps button

    Hello.
The WPS button is not on the printer. This button would be located on your router itself.
If your router does not have a clearly marked 'WPS' button, please reply with the printer model you have, and the version of Windows or Mac in use, so our community can further assist!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON, weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

  • Where is the WPS button for the MG5520 printer?

where is the WPS button for the MG5520 printer?

    Hi luca2,
The WPS button is located on the router, not the PIXMA MG5520.  If your router does not have a WPS button, please follow these steps:
    1.  On your PIXMA MG5520, go to the Home menu or press the Home button.
    2.  Use the arrow keys until Wireless LAN Setup appears and select this option.
    3.  If a 'WPS' prompt appears, press STOP.
    4.  Select the Standard Setup option.
    5.  Follow the remaining prompts on the printer menu to connect the unit.
Once this process is complete, use the disk to install the unit on your computer.
If you continue to have difficulties, please contact our support group using the following link:
