What is this and how do I fix it?

I have Thunderbird installed on a couple of different computers. Recently the folder shown in the attached screen shot keeps showing up in my Yahoo folder and I don't know why or how to fix the problem. When I click on the folder to see what's in it, nothing shows up. I can delete the folder, but sometimes there are two. If there are two I can only delete one. When I try to delete the second one, it says I can't because there is already a file with that name. Even if I delete the folder, every day, it reappears. So, how do I stop it from happening again?

double click them and have a look. They are basically text files so notepad will show them to you. As they are corrupt (I am assuming) I really don't know what is in there. Normally the words
# POP3 State File
# This is a generated file! Do not edit.
and the next message number, but you can not see that as is is a non printable value. It is the differences from that that I am looking for.

I have an iMac, Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, memory: 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, OSX 10.7.5, FCPX 10.0.8. I have no third party plugins. First time responding to community. Forgive any protocol errors.
Been working on variety of work projects for months prior to update with no problems. Took time off for a simple new project after updating to 10.0.8. Finished this small (11 minute) new project that is a combination of video and stills, with a few titles and simple transitions. Plays fine within FCPX, however, ran into same problem that started this chain, ie cannot share/export without getting same error message stated above related to a faulty frame.
Tried several share/export Master File settings. Tried moving project (from within FCPX) to another drive which resulted in same error message, but related to other different frames. Tried replacing original data in affected frame with freshly exported replacement files using QTime. Same problem again. Was able to export to Compressor, but resulting ProRes 422 file was so jumpy it wasn't usable.
Tried suggestions of Mark M 98021 and Hank LV, ie, halting all rendering in preferences and deleting render files. After this, I was successful in sharing/exporting at will.
I have several other major projects that I am afraid to return to. I'm not an expert at the inner workings of FCPX and don't have time to keep dealing with this issue. I can leave rendering off, but not a satisfactory solution. Not sure if old rendered files might become infected.
It would seem that there is a problem in the update. I hope this is corrected so I can continue with my work.

My MacBook Pro display won't work without a second display plugged in. What caused this, and how do I fix it?

I'm using a Dynex Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adaptor to use a second display (an older display, I'll admit). After I have unplugged the adaptor, my MacBook still tries to read the second display, and switches back-and-forth between a blue screen & my desktop. It stabilizes once I plug the adaptor back in. What is causing this problem, and how do I fix it so I can use my primary display without having the adaptor constantly plugged in?

Trying to Launch my new typestyler 11 or my old 10 version. Used to work great. then it would just shoe the splash screen and menu bar for a second and dissapear. the concolse message is the ATS: Invalid FontObjectID (4).
What does this mean and how do I fix it?

It's an old post, I know, but I've got this one now:

It's in my most important app and causing problems. I worked a lot on this trying to solve it but so far I can't. I'll take any advice you or anyone might have.

HT1349 Error code -1303?? What is this and how can I fix it??

My father bought a used ipod classic 80G 3 days ago. I hooked the ipod up to my itunes and restored it. As i was loading music to the ipod, I realized that the music was not loading and then I got a error code -1303. I restored the ipod again, same thing happened. I reformatted the ipod and then restored it and now it let me load 6G's of music and won't let me add anymore music. I'm now getting error code -53 and error code -1303. What is this and what can I do to fix this problem?? Please help!

Sounds like your iPod has failed. You could get it repaired/replaced by taking it to an Apple Store/Genius Bar or Apple Authorised Repair Specialist. If it's still under warranty it should be repaired under the terms of the warranty. Accidental or wilful damage is not covered by the warranty.

Missing songs: half of the songs in my library have suddenly become unplayable because iTunes "cannot locate original file" whats caused this and how do i fix it?

Its really irritating having all my songs there one day and having half of them go missing the next and i haven't done anything to cause the files to be lost, on top of that it's completely randomised in what songs have gone missing as it is not whole albums, individual songs from different albums are going missing and it's telling me to find the files, which i have no idea where to look or what to do, it has rendered iTunes completely useless for me. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .
