What is this app please?

All,
A couple of questions please:
Q1. I would appreciate help with trying to find what this app is (the screenshot shows the app from within 'Battery Doctor'?
Q2. On a similar note.  The user is using a phenomenal amount of data, and I found this app whilst trying to see what could be using it.
What is the best way to monitor a phones data usage please?
Thank you in advance,
JC

    Hi Poonam26c,
If you do not have a local copy of a song which you have purchased (i.e. it is available via iTunes in the Cloud), you may need to redownload it before you can transfer it to your device. You may find the following article helpful:

  • What is this apps infusion request that keeps popping up when I visit web sites?

What is this apps infusion request that keeps popping up when I go to any website?

    I see.
You'll get that prompt if (1) you have "Limit website access to location services ... Prompt for each website once each day" selected in Safari > Preferences > Privacy and (2) the website you are visiting requests your location. The other options for (1) are "... Prompt for each website one time only" and "Deny without prompting" in both Lion (10.7) and Mountain Lion (10.8); for privacy reasons, there is no option to allow without prompting.
It makes sense that the website you were visiting might need your location to provide you with local vendors. If they employ the services of the business technology company names Infusion, that's why the request refers to apps.infusion.com instead of the top-level site you were visiting.
As for why it started suddenly last week, that could be for any of several reasons.
    * Did you just start visiting that food service site?
    * Maybe the food service site just started using Infusion's services.
    * Maybe Infusion just started using Mac OS X services to obtain your location.

When I try to turn on Home Sharing, I get the message: "Home Sharing could not be turned on because of an error (5506)." What does this mean please?!

I had the same error it was due to a program called Little Snitch, it's somewhat like a firewall.  I changed the settings in Little Snitch to allow network connections in iTunes and now I can enable Home Sharing.  Maybe you should try changing some firewall settings.

  • What was this app called?

I remember looking at this app, and then passing it because it costed money. Basically, you could let some portions of a video play while the other areas  were frozen at a specific frame.  I remember as an example they showed a waterfall but only the fall was moving, and there were no ripples because they were frozen.
Does anyone know the name of this app or one that is similar?
    Thanks,
    Justin

That's the one I've been looking for. Thanks a lot! I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this...

  • Imovie 7 - What is this app?  Who is it for?

    Hello
I am an editor with over 20 years experience in almost all the computer based systems available & have been a great fan of imovie, a concise and efficient edit app. That was until I got involved with Imovie 7. This very sexy, spectacular piece of soft, is just about the worst edit app I have ever seen. It's cutting window system is highly imprecise or is quite unusable with all the frames lined up, the timeline is really only useful if I was doing animation, trimming is still a mystery etc... There is no timecode window to knwo where you are in the sequence or rushes, no export to IDVD that I can get my head round. A limited amount of codecs for QT export. Why did they change an app that was seriously good for something that I would call an iphoto for moving images. So you say, use FCP. I say, imovie is easier and more logical for alot of what can be cut. Now I have a great JVC HD7 camera that only works with Imovie7, so I'm stuck with an app that I am having real trouble cutting with, getting stuff out of in a decent def. Lastly, having the project stuck in the movie folder and having to copy media onto disk to keep proxy connections is a real step backwards. So please mr. Apple, please bring back the app interface that worked so well and allowed me to cut properly, not dump images in boxes.

iMovie 08/09 were primarily designed for SIMPLE editing.
iMovie 08/09 are wonderful programs assuming that you're using it for what it was designed to do, assemble simple videos to share on the Internet.
It is not what I would expect from the apple.
When iLife 08/09 is installed, all of the old applications are automatically deleted EXCEPT iMovie 06.
Apple did this knowing that iMovie 08 was not a replacment for iMovie 06, but rather an additional program that proved very handy for some applications.
Apple had found that many iLife users were not using iMovie, some would argue that iMovie 06 became "too good". Others will say that many of the features of iMovie 06 made it hard for beginners to learn, so iMovie 08/09 is usually easier for the absolute beginner.
I use both iMovie 09 and iMovie 06. I generally like to use iMovie 09 with short, simple projects. For longer projects or when I want to make a DVD, I prefer iMovie 06. I think it is common for people to use both. Also, iMovie 06 works seamlessly with the newest iDVD (and this is no accident).
If you like iMovie 06 better, as many do, you can continue to use it. I find that it works perfectly with my Mac Pro, iDVD 08/09 and the latest Mac OS.

  • Anyone knows the name of this app please...

    Hi guys,
In this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRAcskPN … re=related at 04:00, there is a vu meter showing at the bottom right of the desktop, probably a plugin for his mp3 player.  Can anyone could tell me what it is please ?
    Thanks in advance

Could be a screenlet, could be a gdesklet.  Could be you're asking the wrong people in the wrong forum.  You should ask someone more knowledgeable about that setup.
P.S.: I'm just nitpicking here, but could you remove the "need" from your title and use something less urgent?  As it is, it suggests you're looking for something important, not just eye candy.

  • Kernel Panic: What does this mean please?

Several days ago I downloaded 10.4.11 update and got an icon placed on my desktop. I double-clicked it and it said it didn't recognize it, so I put the icon in the trash.
That night when I tried to shut down it progressed normally until I got a dark screen. Then, just when I thought it was closed down, up pops a rectangle that says "You need to restart the computer. Hold down the power key for several seconds."
I held down the power key, and instead of the computer starting back up, it turned off. I didn't think much about it. But then the next night it did the same thing again, and again last night.
It has only done it on that one user account where I downloaded the update to my desktop. And one night I verified permissions, verified the disk, shut everything down one=by-one, and disconnected before shutting down, and it did not do it that night. But did do it again the next night. Here is the report that it gave me:

Does anyone understand what this is saying? And what I should maybe do or not do?
    Cyan

    Cyan,
I'm not an expert in this field, but I can suggest the catchall "Archive and Install" option on your Mac OS X Install DVD. "Archive and Install" backs up your current system folder (and also your documents, music, and pictures), and installs a fresh system on your hard disk. You can then drag the "Previous System" folder to the Trash after the installer is finished. I am going to assume that the Mac OS X 10.4.11 update caused this, as your computer seemed to be working properly before the update.
To "Archive and Install", start your computer from your Mac OS X Install DVD (by holding down the "C" key with the Install DVD in the drive as your Mac boots). Next, after you see the Mac OS X Installer, follow the prompts until you reach the "Destination" screen. Once you select your current hard disk, click the "Options" button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. In the window that appears, choose the "Archive and Install" button, and *make sure* that the "Preserve Users and Network Settings" is selected. Then, proceed with the install. Once the installer completes and you have a working system, open your Macintosh HD. There, you should see a folder called "Previous System". Once you are sure that your current system is working, you may drag this folder to the Trash, and then empty the Trash. If you need more help with "Archive and Install", please look at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120.
Also, once the install completes and you have a functioning system, *do not* download the Mac OS X 10.4.11 update. 10.4.11 has been known to cause problems for many Mac users. You can download the Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx10410comboupdateppc.html for PowerPC processors, and http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx10410comboupdatev11intel.html for Intel processors. These are "combo" updaters-they will update any Mac OS X 10.4 version (from 10.4.0 to 10.4.9) to version 10.4.10.
    Good luck!

  • Slapd.log errors - what is this error please?

I keep seeing the following sorts of errors in the LDAP log :
    slapd[45]: connection_read(35): no connection!\n
I think this is part of a problem where 10.4 clients don't log out completely from 10.4 server.
Please help! I need a clue here . . . Thanks for your time.
