What is this error ... ajax submit failed: error =403, forbidden

Trying to access eprint center & get the message shown in the subject.  What am i doing wrong. thx.

This is an error we've seen with a small group of customers.  The best way around this is to try visitng the site with a different browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox have all worked well).

  • Unable to register error: Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden

I am trying to complete the eprint registration for the first time I turned on a printer.  When I get to the logon page and enter my credentials I immediately receive the error "Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden" which happens so quickly that I don't think my POST is even getting to the server.  I tried with IE9, firefox 14.0.1 and chrome 21.0.1180.  I have no problem loading other web pages or browsing the web.

This question comes up quite a bit here.  Others have suggested that clearing your browser history and cookies then rebooting allowed them to logon or create an account.  For me that does not work and I've tried 3 different HP laptops and 2 to 3 web browsers on each of those 3 laptops and still no joy.
I supposedly already have an account but I can't even reset the password on it.  When I go to the password reset page and enter my email address it says "you need to enter your email address" even though I just did that.  I never see any password reset email.
I can't logon so I can use the 'contact an expert' service.  HP has really painted me into a corner on this one.
Logging on really should not be this difficult.  Resetting a forgotten password also should be simple.  This has been terrible customer experience.  Zero stars!!!

  • Can't sign up for eprintcenter-I get this error ---Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden

Bought my 6700 printer yesterday.  Set it all up, prints fine.  Got the print out that tells me to go to the eprintcenter.com and "sign up and enter your printer code."
Every time I enter any information, I get this error code:  Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden
I've tried entering my personal email, the eprint email--in short I've tried everything and can't register for an account so I can customize my printer email address, etc.  Can some one help?

    Tifmel,
I do apologize that you are having this issue. If you are still having this issue, I would suggest using a different web browser (i.e. internet explorer, google chrome, mozilla firefox). There are more that are available but those are just a few examples. I sure hope you can get everything worked out. Thanks again!!!!

  • Eprint login error: Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden.

Why do I keep getting this error when trying to log in  to eprint website to manage my printer: Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden.

    Hi,
Please perfer the following the check.
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.

I am trying to sign up for eprint, but get this error when ever I try to create an account "Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden" Does anyone have any ideas.
    thanks,
    Bob

If you are experiencing this issue through the desktop browser, if available, try downloading the mobile app and see if you still experience issues signing up. Another recommendation is to try a different browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc) after restarting your machine.
    Hope this helps!

I can't login to the ecenter; i'm constantly recieving an error message of Ajax submit failed: error = 403", Forbidden when I try to create an account.  When I try to login with either my google or facebook password, i recieve the same style of message...help!

Are you using a browser different to IE by any chance?  I dont think their web pages work properly with certain browsers (I cant use Chrome and Safari in IOS - get exactly the same error).. Try with a different browser.

  • Error "Ajax Submit failed;error 403, Forbidden"

Why do I get the the following error message "Ajax Submit failed; error 403, Forbidden" when I try to add my iPad 2 to my HP Officejet 4610/4620 Wireless.
when I go to eprintcenter.com, I do not even see where to input my printer code.
    Thank you

Are you are getting the Ajax error on the ePrint Center website? If that is the case, either try accessing it through another browser or clear the cache, cookies and history on the current browser and then try accessing the site again.   After the account is created and you are signed into the site; there should be a button to click on that says "Add printer".

I just viewed the website on my computer, and it appears to be working okay on my end. It's possible that there's a setting in your web browser responsible for what you're seeing. I would recommend trying the following steps:
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. Hi WCP1023,
Welcome to the HP Consumer Printer Forums.
There are several things that can be done to resolve this issue, but there is no one specific thing that resolves it for everyone. Here are some steps that have helped others:
    1. Reboot your computer
    2. Clear the cache on your browser
    3. Use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
    4. Register from a mobile device (phone, tablet, etc.)
    Hope that helps...good luck!

  • Eprint= Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden

i have a photosmart b210 and my laptop is a macintosh but the issue is not with the printer but with the eprint wireless site. i can't sign in using my email and password. i get this message Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden. when i put my email to reset my password, it doesn't work . and if i tried to sign up with a different email to create a new account it gives me the same message Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden. so no way for me to get in eprintcenter site.

    Hello yelyfish,
You can try clearing the browser's cache, several other users have had success with that.  If that does not work, try using a different browser.  If neither helps, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Sorry to learn that you are having this issue.
    Let's do this 1st
    -  Reboot the computer.
    -  Open the browser (Internet Explorer, chrome, FireFox, Safari,Opera ) of your preference and clear cookies  and internet (Browsing) history. In the browser of your preference try singing-in or registering to e-print.

  • What does "Ajax submit failed: error =403, Forbidden" mean? I can't sign in.

When I try to sign in to the hpeprintcenter I get the message "Ajax submit failed:  error =403, Forbidden"  What does this mean?  What do I need to do.  I can't sign in!  I also can't get a new password.  Even though I try, I get no response after hitting the "submit" link.  I even tried to create a new account and it wouldn't let me do that.  I'm stuck.

  • EPrint error message: "Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden": what to do?

Wow---never have I had such a problem installing a program---4.5 hours without success . . . I followed the instructions (though perhaps not the 'missing' instruction---what is it?
I installed HP ePrint Home and Biz (from Android Market)---for printing from my smartphone---but it did not work.  I went to HP ePrint Center.
I obtained the printer IP address (for an HP LaserJet P1102w) and did a firmware update.
The instructions said to "Print Info Sheet"; this included to go to eprintcenter.com---and to create a new account.  I did that---but the instructions also referred to "In the Entere Printer Code text box, type the printer code found on the information sheet."  Problem was:  there never was a "Printer "Code text box."
I tried every variation I could  think of . . . but (a) never saw a "Printer Code text box" and (b) always ran into the dead end message of "Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden".
I am obviously missing something . . . any suggestions on what to try?

Try google chrome browser. Only one that worked for me

    RobertoR,
A User should not have to change browsers to attempt to register - this is a problem with HP and the eprintcenter.com website.  If changing browsers or changing accounts is the only way around this problem, this HP Support better get busy because this is unacceptable.
