On the top of F4 key, you should see a screen symbol and normally (w/o preesing F4) this will output to an external monitor. For Fn+F4, please read the following article:

What is your machine ? Depeinding on the model/product of your machine, some keys my line up a bit difference but you can see symbol on each key and work this out. For example F2 and F3 are for brightness, F5 for backlit keyboard (not all machines). F6 to F11 for sound/video and F12 for wireless. On your machine, some keys may be swapping around but basically they all have one symbol each.

I have this Assignment, and I can't figure out what this functions is actually trying to do.

What is this function building block??

Hi I am new to labview. I have a basic example that resets a source measure unit, sources voltage, takes a current measurement, and then again resetting the meter. I am just unsure of what the three yellow blocks are that I made a green box around?? If anyone can point me in the direction of where I can find them in lab view so I can read about them to understand what they are trying to do at those points. Also I am wondering if after you have finished your design in lab view if you can make it into a .exe file that can be opened and run by an operator like you can in C or VB, or do you need the full software package installed on every PC?? When looking at the diagram, hit CTRL-H and the help window will appear. Move your cursor over one of the functions (the "yellow blocks") and the help window will offer a short description of the thing you're hovering over.
Right-click on a function and choose HELP from the menu and you get a more detailed explanation.

Yes. You need to have it in a project (if you labVIEW is newer than 8.0, I think), and make a build specification.
When you BUILD the build spec, you get an EXE file.
This EXE needs what's called the LabVIEW RunTime Engine installed on any machine that it runs on.
No fees or anything, but it has to be there.
It does NOT need the whole LabVIEW DevSys .

What is the function of "Name Server"?

We have a two server Cluster. Each server runs a SIA Node with a CMS and all of the typical Servers.
On Server1, if I look at the Metrics for any of my Servers (except CMS) it looks like this:
   Machine Name: Server1.domain.com
   Name Server: Server2.domain.com:6400
On Server2, it looks like this (all local):
   Machine Name: Server2.domain.com
   Name Server: Server2.domain.com:6400
I'm trying to understand why the servers on Server1 have a Name Server on the other side of the Cluster. What is this function? Is this correct? Does it have anything to do with where the IFR/OFR is running? Or maybe the sequence on which server starts first?
The CMS Server on both of my Servers uses the Cluster Name for Name Server.

If the BO Application is installed on single machine, It could be called standard/standalone installation.
If the BO Application services scattered across the different system then called "Extended/Distributed Environment". When BO applications are scattered different system is referred as a NODE.
I guess your BO Application is deployed on 2 nodes, In order to bind two different BO application systems together SAP has given wonderful concept called clustering.
Cluster will bind 2 or more applications with single (CMS)repository and single IFRS/OFRS destination.
Whenever you install BO Application, it asks you want to standalone installation or you want to join existing cluster.
In your environment. The second machine has got BO installed first and first machine has got installed second while installing second time on first machine it had asked to whether you want to join existing cluster then your BO admin has been given second machine.
Thats why you would able to see second machine nameserver on both machines
Usually the BO Application servers are distributed based on their category.
The BO4 platform mainly categorised as below
1. Web Application tier (Tomcat): Web Application tier is the tier that hosts server side components to handle user requests from Client tier and pass to Intelligence tier of underlying system for processing.
2. Intelligence tier (BO services) is heart of Business Objects Enterprise system. It handles user requests, navigates them to appropriate server, maintain security information, audit information and stores report instances. BOE intelligence layer is composed of Central Management Server (CMS), File Repository Servers and Event Server.
3. Processing tier ( BO services) interacts directly with database and generates reports. Processing layer is composed of Job Servers, Web Intelligence processing servers, Crystal processing servers, Dashboard servers.
As best practices for the better performance, we need to have Distributed deployment( each tier needs to be placed in each server) for better performance.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.

What's wrong with this Function(PL/SQL) in this formaula column definition in Reports 6i

I get the following error in compiling
REP-1401. 'currdateformula'.Fatal PL/SQL error occured. ORA-01843 not a valid month.
The SQL select to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MM-YYYY') from dual; worked well in SQL Plus prompt.
I got a clean compile when i use just sysdate in the function (see below).

hello,
what you are trying to do :
fetch the current date and return it as the result of the formula-column.
what you are actually doing :
fetch the current date, convert it to text, assign this text to a date-variable which causes an implicit type-conversion.
in your case you create a date-string with the format dd-mm-yyyy. the implicit conversion then tries to convert this string back to date using the NLS settings of your session. depending on your NLS_LANG and NLS_DATE_FORMAT this might work, if your session-date-format is dd-mm-yyyy which obviously it is NOT as you get the error.
what you should do :
select sysdate into curr_date from dual;
this fetches the sysdate and stores it in your date-variable. there is no type conversion needed what so ever.
