What is this icon of a fork thing? How do I change it or get rid of it?

Sorry, it looks like a fork to me. I first noticed it when I used iChat the first time after getting the new mini. The mysterious "fork" insidiously inserted itself as my chat icon. That was easy to fix... however...
Where in the world do you get rid of the "fork" that now appears at the top of every outgoing email message?
It doesn't actually appear on a recipient's message, does it? How embarressing! (tongue in cheek)

Hi there,
I think what you're referring to is your user picture. Only people using iChat or Apple Mail will ever see it, but there is a simple way to change it. Load up your System Preferences, click on the 'Accounts' button, select your name and then look to the right of that for the 'Picture' button. There will be a section of pictures you can choose from, hopefully one more to your liking.

I believe that is the "archive" button. You have a setting for that instead of delete. Do you see the trash can? If not, that is what it is. Here is a link to the iPhone manual and you can see about changing that, but I would have to say it is probably in settings, mail.

When I login, all of my desktop items are gone, the "Finder" icon is bouncing and a message asking to restore windows is blinking but unresponsive. I can't exit out of it. What do I do? I've tried force quitting, and it doesn't get rid of it.

Additional Information
OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

You should be able to change your e-mail address from your provider ... then edit it to meet the Apple requirements. Unfortunately you've given us no profile details so we can't tell what device you have.

I have just updated the software on my pad to ios7. Big mistake. It is ugly and unpleasant to use. Also, on safari there are icons which I have no wish to use, but can't get rid of. Can I revert to the previous operating system?

Firstly, the icons when you load safari are your bookmarks in the favourite section. To remove them you can simply either delete them or move them to another bookmark folder. To access your bookmarks tap the blue book in the top right corner and then go through to bookmarks and select and edit from there, goodluck :)

You will have to delete your rescue email address first, then go back and change your primary.

You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the picture of the AirPort Express
Click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Wireless tab at the top of the next window
Edit the Wireless Network Name
Keep it short.....maximum 10-12 characters or so. No blank spaces or punctuation marks in the name
Click Update at the lower right of the window to save the new setting and wait a full minute for the AirPort to restart

What is this icon in the top-right corner?

I'm running iOS 5.0.1 on an iPhone 4S and when I run iHandySoft's Quick Scan Pro application, I get an icon that I don't recognize which replaces the battery icon in the status bar. This icon looks like a box with an arrow pointing down and to the right. It also pulses.

What is this icon???? Can't find it in any users guides

This icon is on my phone and I don't know what it is. It is a black circle has an arrow pointing SW and on the arrow it has a red star. It has a 1 beside it so I'm assuming it means I missed something as that is the area it is in where the missed calls show up.

That should be an icon indicating that you have an update to one of the apps you downloaded via BlackBerry App World. To clear the icon, simply go to BlackBerry App World and sign into your My World. You will see the update there.

What does this icon mean and why does a black battery appear behind it?

All of a sudden, since last night, an intermittently flashing black battery appears behind one of the menu bar icons. Unfortunately, I don't know what the original icon means! From right to left, I have the volume icon, the wireless connection strength icon, a telephone icon, (what I think is) an Ethernet icon, then this funny icon -- three horizontal black dots, with a thin vertical line and kind of an X running through them. (Can you tell I'm not a computer person? Anyway, can anyone interpret these signs for me? Inquiring minds would very much like to know, especially if something drastic is about to happen. TIA!

What is this Icon on the homepage??

I just bought my BB Curve and have read through all of the documentation. There is a small, black icon that looks like cross-hairs with two lines on the right side (to indicate sound I guess). I have looked through everything and cannot find what this means. See attached image, icon is circled in red. What does this mean?
