Hello Readers. i want to know why do we use project builder in short also is it used for creating a setup file for the project.
Please mention some proper names for project builder books for oracle 8 available in the market.

I say was because the last version was shipped with Forms 6i, so there is no Project Builder in Forms 9i or 10g and Oracle haven't supplied a replacement.

Actually..........a vriant is something like a specific selections............for an example...... if you have a report instead doing the selections all the time.. you save the selection as variant............it reduces time..........errors in input...........you can schedule a background job only using variants........
Generally..........we create a JOb in SM36.........as already said............there the job is created using the program and the variant..............while executing the job...........this program get executed.........

What is this function building block??

Hi I am new to labview. I have a basic example that resets a source measure unit, sources voltage, takes a current measurement, and then again resetting the meter. I am just unsure of what the three yellow blocks are that I made a green box around?? If anyone can point me in the direction of where I can find them in lab view so I can read about them to understand what they are trying to do at those points. Also I am wondering if after you have finished your design in lab view if you can make it into a .exe file that can be opened and run by an operator like you can in C or VB, or do you need the full software package installed on every PC?? When looking at the diagram, hit CTRL-H and the help window will appear. Move your cursor over one of the functions (the "yellow blocks") and the help window will offer a short description of the thing you're hovering over.
Right-click on a function and choose HELP from the menu and you get a more detailed explanation.

Yes. You need to have it in a project (if you labVIEW is newer than 8.0, I think), and make a build specification.
When you BUILD the build spec, you get an EXE file.
This EXE needs what's called the LabVIEW RunTime Engine installed on any machine that it runs on.
No fees or anything, but it has to be there.
It does NOT need the whole LabVIEW DevSys .

What system should I build for After Effects?

Hello everyone.
my friend built a system few months ago:
Samsung 8GB x 8 1600 ECC REG
WD Black 2TB x2
256GB SSD
E5-2680 x2
2 GTX680 in SLi
Win7 Ultimate x64
and I ran after effects CS6 on that system. And soon I noticed that this powerful system didn't show its power on after effects. In preferences I
enabled "Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously" but the performance was slow. Everytime I add some effects or preview the project in normal way (Press Spacebar) the CPU load was always low, under 20% all the time,and I couldn't preview the project smoothly.It seemed the only way to have a smooth preview is RAM preview. All the projects are in 1080p, 60fps, and the cache files and other material are located on the SSD. I don't know what the problem is, ...and is this just normal?
Now I want to build a system for myself soon and I'm looking for some advice. On the Internet someone said that the Dual CPU System doesn't fit AE and other said a pro class video card is needed. I don't know what the problem is...
And I'd like to know the correct setting in Menu - Perferences - Memory & Multiprocessing.

It all comes down to what you want to use the system for - and by "use", I mean exact usage - What is After Effects going to do for you - Composite? Keying work? Text? Graphics etc etc etc...
The questions you are asking are exactly the same as mine at the moment. I am doing as much as I can to find a decent PC spec for what I want out of AE. Good luck, and have fun searching...

Is this project appropriate for captivate

Normally I would use a combination of video and still shots
processed with one or several NLE software. Usually Premiere.
After reading a little about Captivate and watching some of
the introductory videos available on Lynda.com (just the 3
introduction pieces so far)
I wondered if captivate may be a poor choice for my current
project.
The project is a combination of stills and videos presented
as a memorial to family member who has passed.
As I mentioned my normal method for something like that above
but that method is very time intensive.
It begins with a series of photoshop sessions, dressing up
the stills, then some Premiere sessions trimming and preparing
video from dv tapes or possibly Captured Video from the internet
with Camtasia or snagit. Finally any effects will be done in After
Effects such as animating the stills. Finally back to premiere to
sew it all together and add voice over in places. - From there to
DVD with Encore.
I'm wondering if some of that could be done in Captivate and
improve on the time factor or if it would be something of a mis-use
against the intent of Captivate.

Harry, I am late to the game, but I think those who responded
were waaaaay too quick to offer alternatives to Captivate. No
criticism of earlier posters, I just think some options were too
quickly dismissed, or overlooked entirely.
I recently loaned my son my digital camera (a small Canon
shirt-pocket item, nothing special) when he went to a private
wedding.
During the course of the wedding, he took maybe 80 still
shots (1600x1200) and about a half-dozen AVI short movies of
special moments, such as kissing the bride and cutting the cake.
Then he brought the camera to me at the reception, thanked me, and
said "Now do something with it, Dad". LOL! I never saw it coming!
Here is what I did, and how long it took:
1) Changed all stills from 1600x1200 to 800x600 in a batch
operation using Photoshop CS3.
2 minutes for operation.
Note: All 8x6 images saved to a separate folder during batch
operation.
2) Cleaned up red-eye and adjusted brightness/contrast, again
in Photoshop CS3.
15 minutes for operation.
3) Opened Captivate 3, and created a new *Image* project.
Imported all images in the aforementioned folder to the new
project, and saved.
2 minutes for operation.
4) Opened the AVIs in Flash CS3 Video Encoder and in a batch
operation, converted the AVI files to FLV.
10 minutes for operation, but I had to teach myself how to
use the program since I was a virgin with it.
5) Brought each of the FLVs into Captivate slides.
5 minutes for operation.
6) Rearranged all stills and videos to achieve correct
*order* for the movie.
1 hour for operation, but I had to teach my daughter-in-law
how to do this in Captivate, since she was at the wedding and I was
not - and she has never seen Captivate before.
7) Added voice-over to all the stills in Captivate. 2 hours
for operation, but it took so long because I spent the time
translating what my son and daughter-in-law were saying behind me
for each voice-over ... half the time I was *shushing* the room so
I could add audio.
Tools needed: Captivate 3, Flash Video Encoder CS3, Photoshop
CS3 ... all Adobe tools.
Total time: 3 hours, 34 minutes, if I added correctly, and
half of that was necessary only because I didn't know the
*players*, nor had I been present at the event.
Note, I did not include time for burning CDs, because I
output it directly to my website as an executable, to be downloaded
by participants at will, so no CDs were necessary.
You can take my experience *for what it is worth*. The
original question was "
Will Captivate 3 do this?", and I am troubled that everyone
answered "No". I totally disagree. Burning the output of my
Captivate movie to CD would be one extra step, but a Captivate
movie can be put on a CD or delivered by the web, or as I did,
posted as EXE and left to be downloaded at leisure.
I think we (Adobe and Captivate 3) have everything it takes,
not only to do it, but to do it quickly and well.

What's this tiny icon for?

I have a "folder" called "games" on my iPod Touch. In it are three games. Today inside the FOLDER icon, where the teeny-tiny icons of the three games icons are, there is a fourth icon. It doesn't appear if I open the folder; then the three standard game icons are all I see, so there is no sign of this mystery icon to click on. This icon looks like a tiny square "earth" (mostly North America) with what might be a CD coming out of the bottom end. Does anyone know what this is about?

That translates to while(true)Ie it is an infinite loop.
The for statement accepts three arguments. The first is an initialisation argument and is executed once at the starrt of the call. The second is a continuation condition that evaluates to a boolean value. If the statement is true the for loop continues. The third statement is executed at the end of each iteration.
So in the statement for ( ; ; )
There will be no initialisation, no test condition (ie the test always succeeds) and no action carried out at the end of each iteration.
This type of construct is often used in programs that have no expected end time. For example a command line console, http server etc.

I believ this occured 2 years ago in playoffs. Maybe more. Forget, but the Leafs eliminated Flyers from POffs that year. The Flyers I also don't remember (the one knocked unconscious) but the one that was chasing him around was ... damn ... believe the last name began with an M, he is on the Rangers now... McArthy, thats right! Sandy Mcarthy.
As for Tucker. You are right. Every team needs a guy like him. Flyers have always had 1 or 2. Holding stick, flopping, and stuff. I really don't mind that, everybody does it... I even like Tucker from that point of view (though I hate watching my team fall victem to him :P).
If Quinn hates that style of play, why do the Leafs always rank in top 5 of penalties (the top this year) and among the top in fighting as well? If he wanted it stoppped it would stop. In fact he pushes for it, which you can see by the line match-ups he forces on ice. Also, he does complain a lot, but this is also a tactic. He complains to refs so they watch the other team more closely and will call penalties more on the other team. He does it well. (He is not the only one, Bowman used to do it, and Liniux (sp? does it for the Penquins...).

Ssoooo... what's this thing good for anyway?

So I just bought my powerbook used. This is my first mac. I may have under researched this decision. i'm now finding all sorts of guff about the powerbook g4s being "too slow" and "outdated". did I just waste a bunch of money on and obsolete machine. or is it possible to upgrade the hardware enough to salvage it for a few years?

I think it depends on what you paid whether you wasted money or not, and what your intended use is. Certainly the Powerbook series and G4 PowerPC processor has not been used for many years now, and support for programs, security updates, and so on is waning.
Assuming the hardware is in good condition, the only logical upgrades for this machine is to max the RAM and install a larger hard drive (both depend on which Powerbook you have).
While I would not be happy trying to edit video or do extensive Photoshop work (too slow), I still use my PB as a secondary machine for light duty tasks such as email, web surfing (except web video -too slow), photo viewing, iTunes playback, word processing, and so on.
Computers get better. I don't think Pentium 3 machines satisfy many PC users anymore either.

While saving invoice in VF01 I am getting error like "Number range not maintained in Transaction ZV0571"
this error i am getting today only, I mean system was working fine previously and suddenly it start to throw this error today.
If I go into this transaction system asks to maintain comp code - region - Number range combination. I dont know what number ranges should i provide there and why ? i have never done with this transaction code. Never required as well.
Please tell me the requrement behind this determination and how to done it?

Go to ZV0571 and execute. There check what fields are maintained. It should have been Comp Code - Region - Number range combination as indicated by you.
It seems all these years, the number range for billing documents were populating from this TCode / Table and now the number got exhausted. So you have to maintain a different object there.

As far as I know, there are no known security risks with it (at least no widely reported cases). I've used it for about three years, and have had no security problems with it. The UNIX programmer folks on here will have more specific technical information, but from a user standpoint it's perfectly safe to use. In fact, if you add other user accounts to your own computer, the other users can't even attempt to access it. It's pretty neat...

What is this telephone icon for in Firefox 33.1.1?

I was poking around the "Customize" menu and discovered this blank space among the icons...

NOW... I've looked everywhere for "firefox telephone icon" and haven't found much. I first thought it might be malware, but from the very few things I've found, it's likely a FF addon. The problem is, this is being talked about by people on pre-release versions, while I'm on a (so I thought) stable version of FF 33.1.1.
I suspect that some developer did a lazy/shoddy job of covering up the early implementation of this feature, but I'm hoping someone else can confirm they have this mysterious icon in their customization area as well. If not, I'm back to my malware theory.

That icon has been changed from a telephone in Firefox 33 to the hello button in Firefox 34.
They both have the same "Invite someone to talk" tooltip if you hover the button.
I don't think that you should see the icon unless loop.enabled is set to true in Firefox 33 or something else is wrong.
