What is trick to logging in to this forum from /Droid X?

I can log in from IE8 and firefox but can not log in from my DX.
I know I have uid and PW correct but no access.

My copy of My verizon movile  just takes me to see my bill, plan etc.  No log in involved
I got it to surf to vzw.com/myverizon and tried unsuccessfully to navigate to Forums -- Got to the login on the left and could not log in ther.  Used both my uid and the cell phone number for the login name and very carefully entered the apw.  No Joy in mudville.
I am vision imparied.  Can you give me a step by step of how youlog into the Forum so you can read and post off your droid x to give me a path to follow that works?
The login on the upper right is the only thing that has ever worked for me.  I uses my phone number for the login name.  The login on the left never works no matter what browser of device I use to connect.  There has to be a FAQ or tutorial that I can follow to work my way through this maze.  Some sort of Cheat Sheet.  ???

  • Not able to login to this forum from opera in xfce4 in arch[SOLVED]

I installed xfce4 and opera and they are working well. However, I am not able to login to this forum from there. The login page is loaded, I enter the login and password, login accepted message comes but when the page is reloaded, I am still not logged in and I cannot post to the forum. I am writing this from my previous distro + firefox.

Have you tried Firefox in Arch? If that works, then there's something wrong with the settings in Opera (maybe it's showing a cached page).

  • How to stop this forum from sending me email?

I've only posted on 1 thread once... and now, I can't stop the flow of emails from the thread that I commented!
I've already selected "No" on all the items in my preference but I still get an email from the same topic/thread I've commented.
Talk about SPAM email. How can I stop this forum from sending emails to me? Is there a way to delete my forum account or have it deactivated?

The link above shows how you can stop it for individual topics within that topic.
To see if you are subscribed to anything and remove the subscriptions...
At the top right of this page, go to Your Stuff.
    Select Profile.
Under Actions on the right side, select Manage email notifications.

  • How can I use a username to log in to this forum.

The size of the username box in this forum is too short to see my full email address and as a result I often have to try a few times because I cant see if I make a typo. This is rather annoying because you can see if you perhaps made the mistake in the password because all you see is a row of dots.
Is there any way I can use a shortened username? I seem to remember I entered one originally but it has never worked

    Ted,
There is a good, active forum for Forum Comments. Adobe-Admin (John), can help you with all sorts of issues with Log-in, and accessing the forums. I would post there with the issues and your needs, and wait a bit for John to get to the post. He's good, fairly quick, and works hard to help - but he IS overworked, so you may have to be patient.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Please Remove This Forum From the iTunes Community

It is obvious that this forum ius being used by the general iTunes public to post all kinds of questions that are unrelated to iTunesU. I think the primary reason is that the forum is listed in the iTunes section. There is also a link to the iTunesU forum near the bottom of the Support Communites page. If this was the only listing there would be much less chance people would post these unrelated questions that are negatively impacting the board.

It looks like you've been heard, Mark! The following screenshot is from a minute or so ago:

well..it's not that I'm sherlock maybe but my equation looked something like this...
    gentoo+ion3+home made theme+like cli=smart
rezza wrote:Pretty much the same stuff I did in gentoo, because compiling packages in the background is unnoticable when you're just browsing the net, listening to music, and coding.
hmm,eg, you switch from xfree to xorg in 3 min. install eclipse with deps in 2 min, install ooo in 2 min and so on. No more waiting.
What if a hot babe calls you up and ask you to come over and install linux to her. Installing gentoo is a few days hard work, no woman is worth that.;)

  • Why am I getting constantly logged out of this forum?

It seems I have to keep logging in every time I sue thiese discussions. Is there some way to stay logged in, as with other forums?

That is the way it should work.
I find it hard to believe that you are supposed to have to attempt two or three logins.
However this is odd, in the post earlier you said one is supposed to stay logged on if the browser is left open, nothing about getting looged off after a certain number of hours (or minures)

  • What chars should I enter, to search this forum's topics containing #text ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi!
The problem I need to resolve is in strange #text that shows IE Developer Toolbar (IE6)
    <td>
           <img>
#textThis results in a narrow strip at the bottom of the image.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    In FF3 everything is allright.
    Kindest Regards

  • Why can't I log out of this forum?

Unless I delete cookies and then close tab the "user +"sign out" route fails.

Does this also happen in a Private Browsing mode window?
If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.
*Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • Some addons give a small purple screen about what is blocked; how can I stop this screen from appearing?

I'm using adblock, adblock popup, better privacy, ghostery, no-script. Sometimes this purple screen, on the right side of the screen, almost on top, is very big, and blocking text. I can click it away, but it keeps returning.
Is there a way to shut off the appearance of this screen?
    Thanks allready,
    J.Koopman

I use NoScript, and it uses a bar along the bottom, so it's probably one of the others.
Some extensions provide a toolbar icon or Tools menu entry allowing you to adjust how they work.
In other cases, you can use the Options button on the Add-ons page for that extension:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
If you figure out how to tame it, can you post back with the answer? Other users often find these threads in web searches, and it could be helpful to them.

I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

  • Can't stay logged in to this site

Couldn't find a better place to post this so here it is...
I can't stay logged into this forum from my work or home desktop. As soon as I close the browser, I have to log back in. I don't think it's a security setting because I have no trouble staying logged into other forums/sites on either computer. This is the only site I have trouble with. A search revealed a few people with the same problem but no solutions. Also, I didn't see a setting or checkbox to keep me logged in. Any ideas on how I can stay logged in? TIA.

This is surprising. This is the first forum (of many) that I've ever seen that won't allow me to stay logged in. Is there any good reason to do this? One of many Apple quirks I guess. Sometimes I wonder if they do some things just to be different.

  • How do I sign in to this Forum? I created a user... asked a question but I need to log on again to c

I need to log on to this Forum!

Isn't your forum name displayed at the top-right of the forum page?

  • Safari isn't evem smart enough to access this forum properly!

Is anyone else as fed up as I am with Safari failing to work with certain sites? I have to always keep Firefox at the ready for those cases where Safari fails. To add insult to injury, _Safari even fails to log me onto this forum!!!!_ When I try to log in, it reports 'An Internal Server Error Has Occurred." So here I am using Firefox again, no problem. Anyone any idea of fixes or workarounds for Safari quirkiness?

    HI,
For logging in to the forums. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select: Show Cookies. Delete all Apple related cookies. Relaunch Safari and try logging in again.
If you still have problems, open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities) Select Passwords on the left.
    Delete your your AppleID keychain.
Relaunch Safari. Login here as usual with your user name and password. You will be prompted to save that data to a new keychain, click: Yes
Do not try a clean install yet. Try trouble shooting first.
    Carolyn
