What is up with printing from Disc. plus

Plus seems to have taken printing back to the dark ages. I have tried printing, printing to pdf (I have Adobe installed) and export to pdf and cannot seem to get a consistent ouput from the same worksheet.
1. Printing. Print preview shows me a nicely formatted table, on one page, oriented in landscape. The actual print job produces a two page document with the table spread across the two pages. The first page is printed in portrait, the second in landscape and the title is only printed on the first page. The footer items do not show either.
2. Export to pdf. Same as above. Plus seems to ignore all of the page setup information I give it (ie, Print in landscape, print title on every page, fit table to one page).
3. Print to pdf. Same result as export to pdf.
Am I missing something, or is this tool just not designed for printing.

I sent in the TAR and I already got a response! This is a known bug, and there is a patch for it.

So you just need to write in and request the patch! I won't be able to patch it until next week, but the bug descriptions look promising, so I'm hopeful we'll get it fixed!

Having problem with printing from xp to mac shared printer (HP LJ M1005).

I have 2 printers - HP LaserJet M1005 MFP, HP DeskJet 3845.
Both are connected via USB to MacPro and shared.
I have 3 laptops - MacBookPro, IBM ThinkPad T42 (winxp) and HP Compaq nw8000 (winxp).
All these computers are connected via router.
I'm able to print from MacBookPro on both printers.
On IBM and HP I installed Bonjour service and added both printers.
Printing to HP DeskJet 3845 works fine, but HP LaserJet M1005 MFP doesn't.
What happens - When I print from IBM or HP, the job shows up in MacPro, but after 1sec status is changed to "Stopped".
I really don't understand where is problem...
I tried different drivers - Generic driver, HP LaserJet m1005 driver, some other LaserJet drivers. Nothing works...
When I connect HP LaserJet M1005 MFP directly to PC and install drivers, it works fine.

Mac Air won't print from Photosmart Plus B209a

I can't print documents on the B209a from my MacBook Air, either wirelessly or connecting with the USB. When I send something to print, it goes to the queue but disappears quickly. The printer never prints the document I am able to print wirelessly from my Windows computer (Lenovo) without a problem. I am also able to print a test page from the MacBook Air. I can also print from my iPad using the HP ePrint app on the printer.
I have reinstalled the drivers on the MacBook Air several times. I have reset all the printers and reinstalled them. I have also reinstalled the HP software that came with the printer. I have shut down the Mac after each time.
Please help.

I understand you're having some issues with printing from your Mac, running Yosemite however, you are able to print successfully from your Windows PC and iPad. This seems to sound like a software issue somewhere on the Mac, and I have a few steps in mind for you to try.
In order, try:
Reset the printing system
Repair disk permissions
Restart the Mac
Follow this guide: Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update
In addition, download this Apple driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X
Try printing again afterwards!

HP Officejet 6800 e-All-in-One-series - issues with printing from MSWord / Setup

I have been trying to set up the HP Officejet it seems for over 2 weeks - it works then doesn't - I dont want to return it but if it doesnt work proper .... I removed and reinstalled software - yesterday printed from MSWORD - today its not --- it will print pages off the internet but not from my MSWORD - its set up wirelessly - so frustrated - and what's worse is I am HP lover and now I cant even find a HP support phone number to call and I am pretty sure I remember being told while I was making my purchasing decision I could call HP for support with reference to set up when I bought the printer. Can someone tell me if the printer then not working is normal for this printer - with reference to printing MSWORD etc and if not is there some special place I am suppose to click to fix - thank you in advance

It is definitely odd that this printer is not printing from MS Word but will from the Internet. I am not seeing much documentation for an HP Officejet 6800, is it possible that you have the HP Officejet 8600? Just double-checking to make sure I provide the correct information. What's up with printing in Leopard??

Hey, ever since I got Leopard my printing quality from 3 different printers has got so poor.
I've printed on photoshop CS3, CS2, iPhoto and Aperture from two different Canons and an Epson, one of which is at my work.
The printing is so muddy looking and looks nothing like on the screen, colours are off, dark, muddy, poor printing.
What is up with this, everything worked fine in Tiger when it came to printing.
All it can print is text docs ok, any kind of picture just won't print well at all, is there any solution?? I can give model names if you want.

I do not know what your level of knowledge is, so enlighten us on your printflow.
One area to look is the "Color Matching" selection in your printer set up dialog. It should not be set to ColorSync.
Also make sure you have the latest Leopard compatible drivers.

Problem with printing from new Epson CV16DTNF

I have a new Epson CV16DTNF printer (with Multipurpose Tray 1 and additional bulk feed Tray2).
I have set up presets in the normal way for A4 printing from bulk Tray 2 and DL envelope printing from Tray 1.
Each works OK individually but if I try to print A4 straight after an envelope, the Tray 2 paper feed setting is lost (reverts to Autoselect -Tray 1) and the printer starts printing A4 on envelopes!
Am i doing something wrong - if so what should I do to sort this out?

Problem with printing from Acrobat Reader XI

SInce I installed Acrobat Reader XI I have got problems with printing out pages. The text starts a bit down (2 cm) on the paper, resulting that the last part of the text on the page will be missing. And the missing part does not follow on page 2, it just don´t comes out!
It doesn´t matter what settings i click in on the print setting page in Acrobat Reader, it always gets the same result.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?

No files appeared in C:\Users\Pavilion\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings but they did appear in Distiller.
I tried to copied them from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Settings, but found they were already there. I copied them by adding -COPY before .joboptions in the name. Now they appeared in Printing Preferences with the -COPY added.
I tested a print from Word (using File / Print), but was not prompted for the filename or location. I checked my entire system and couldn't find the PDF file anywhere. I tried changing the Port to Desktop\*.pdf using Printer Properties, but that didn't work either.
I was able to successfully use the Acrobat menu item in Word & Excel to create a PDF but it automatically created the file on the Desktop without an option to change the filename.
After several days and hours, I gave up and installed Acrobat X on the W7 computer. I can still use Acrobat XI on the W8 computer. So be it!

7.3.1 firmware interferes with printing from Windows XP to USB printer

I have a home network consisting of an Airport Extreme, a Windows XP desktop, and a Macbook Pro laptop. After upgrading the firmware of the Airport Extreme to 7.3.1, I can no longer print to my Airport Extreme USB connected printer from my Windows XP desktop. I can print fine from my Macbook Pro, but when I try to print from the Windows machine, the internet becomes unavailable to the Windows machine until the print job is canceled, and the print job never completes. The problem does not occur from my Macbook Pro, and rolling back to 7.2.1 cures the problem.
Ideas? Anyone else find similar problems with 7.3.1?

You might like to try with changing the port number. After I upgraded to 7.3.1, printing from both our XP and Ubuntu desktops stopped working. I discovered that the port number had to be set to 9102 instead of 9101 that we used earlier.

Problem with printing from classic

I used to print things out from classic but somehow I can't print anymore. It tell me to go to chooser and choose the printer but I can't choose it. I tried to click on HP printer but no reponse. I tried to reinstall but no use. That reinstalling seems only appy to OS X, no affect on classics. Now what?
I use mostly os X but there are some files I need to print from classic appliction. Funnything is I was able to do it and somehow it does not do it anymore.

You are on the forum for Intel iMacs and in your original message you did state what system you had hence the reply that you can run "Classic" on an Intel iMac.
I would suggest that you report on the forum for PPC iMac instead.

Problems with prints from RAW files

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this problem. I uploaded some photos to Kodak through iPhoto, some were JPEG's from my old Canon Powershot and some were RAW files from my new Nikon D40. The images on my monitor from the RAW files from the D40 were great with very vivid colors and I was looking forward to my first prints from the D40. When I received the prints the photos from the old Power shot looked good but the D40 looked terrible. The prints were all washed out and very dull, the strange thing was that there was one photo that was taken with the D40 which was edited and that came out as a good print and seemed to be a JPEG. I guess its something to do with the upload of RAW files, should I be shooting in JPEG ?. I thought that iPhoto uploaded JPEG's

Printed RAW files will always look unsaturated or "dull" until processed and saved as a jpeg or tiff files. Think of RAW/NEF as a means of preserving ALL the available information to later "develop" a final image to be saved as tiff or jpeg for publication. Shooting in Large Fine JPEG mode will yield great results for print and web publishing, and also leave more room on your memory card and computer drive to make more great photos

Please help with printing from Thinkpad

I've spent the last couple of days reviewing similar posts, and tried suggestions within with no success. Here's my problem:
I have an older iMac running 10.3.9 wirelessly connected to the internet with an Airport Extreme I picked up about a year ago. Recently I decided to run my printer through the Airport. My Mac found the printer with no problem, and prints just fine.
I also have an IBM ThinkPad, running Windows XP. I have no trouble, after initial setup headaches, getting the ThinkPad to find the network and get online, but I can't print from the ThinkPad.
I used Bonjour to find the printer, an hp deskjet 940c, and the setup seemed to work. (I used the manufacturer's disk for the driver.) But everytime I try to print I get: "this document failed to print" error message. The ThinkPad is connected to the network and online.
I also wish the ThinkPad could find the iMac. Is this wishful thinking?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What to do with inconsistencies from RADCUCNT report output ?

Im in preparation phase of non-unicode conversion to unicode ( after upgrade ECC6 EhP6 SP08 - NW731) and I have stuck in step of nametab creation.
The RADCUCNT report is showing me inconsistent objects with reason 2.
All those objects are not exist in DB and ddic dictionary as well.
This is reason why I have still nametab not consistent and I'm scary to do an export as in sap documentation are several attention that this step has to be consistent otherwise will export be failed or import not successful.
i did not find any relevant sap note what to do with such a objects.
Is possible to exclude those objects or something else?

according to note #1062188 you can ignore this warning.
Please proceed as described afterwards:
According to unicode conversion guide, 3.1 Additional Preparation Steps, error "1EED: DD sources table xxxx could not be read" can be ignored.
Please check if there's any content left on the database to make sure these tables are obsolete. If you do not find contents, these tables should be removed as of Unicode conversion guide chapter 2.1.6:
If you want to exclude a table from export after the Consistency Check,
Drop the table from the database.
Delete the table entry from the nametab tables DDFTX, DDNTF, DDNTT on database level.
Reset the table in the Consistency Check.
A better choice for 2. is to remove nametab entries using function module DD_NAMETAB_DELETE via transaction SE37.
Afterwards please run report RADCUCNT again with variant UNICODE-02.
Therefore please execute steps 2.), 3.) and 4.) of the resolution part of note #1865781.

Problem with Printing from Spool

Dear Experts,
I am facing the problem with Printing, Once i press the Print button, the spool is generated. But Instead of giving one page, It is generating the more than one page. Some times, the last page its getting is blank. I am confused how this happens.

Has anyone had a problem with printing from Elements 9 on a MAC?

When I first installed Elements 9 and tried to print, all I got were blank pages. I contacted adobe support and after an hour on the phone, she referred me to the next level. I then received an email from them asking me to call them and in the meantime, they suggested things I shoud do. I did what they suggested and it worked. I was able to print. However, I was unable to indicate the type of paper or resolution that I wanted to print in. So, I called them again. It seems that on a windows PC, they give you five options for printing: 1. Select printer, 2. Select Settings, 3. Select paper size, 4. Type of print, and 5. Select Print size. On a MAC, You get only three options: Select printer, Select paper size and Select print size. Does anyone know another way to select the settings and type of print. I have been using Elements 4 for years with no problems. Elements 4 gives all the options. I don't understand why it is not the same in Elements 9.

In all the time I have been printing, on any program, the entire window opened up when I clicked on the print button. This one never did. I don't understand why Adobe support never told me about that when I called them.

Problem with printing from file to printer

I've been having problems printing more than one page of text from a file to a specified printer in addition to the fact that the number of pages the print dialog says are to be printed is always 9999! I have tried overriding functions from Pageable too, which gave me problems. I tried making the pageIndex more than one page, but it just prints out blank pages after the first, even if there is more data in the file that should have been printed. Well, I changed some things around, and assuming that in a file around 45 lines is a normal page, I am able to get the right amount of pages to be displayed in the dialog and to print, but still, the first page is printed fine and the rest are blank. I am baffled as to what I'm doing wrong. Printing to a printer should not be this hard to do! I have also noticed that many other people have had the same problem, but with no solutions. I am using the jdk 1.3.1 - is that a problem? Here is my new code and if anyone can propose a solution to the blank pages problem I would be very grateful!
