What is way to move data from G4 to MBPro? Direct or thru ext HD?

Thanks to a discussion group I formatted the Maxtor ext. HD on the MBPro to GUID and partitioned it for Time Machine, Data (like old movies) and G4 files as I read that it's better to go through a est HD. The partitions show on the MBPRO but not on the G4. The G4 has FW400 and the MBPro and ext HD have both.
Would someone please recommend a sequence to transfer items that didn't come over with the MBPro start up sequence.

I don't think you can do that. AFAIK (or remember), if you have only one drive on a PATA controller, it has to be jumpered as the "master" and connected to the first connector on the cable with the second (or "slave") drive on the second one. With SATA drives there is only one drive per controller so this is not an issue.

Breif description. I am using query string that starts in the parent window (from href in json file) it then has to be moved into the iframe url when moving to other pages to avoid security as page and iframe are conflicting http and https. and cannot be accessed.. it seems there must be a better way.
So my question is what is the best way in open platform to move data from one page to another?

Small data just a webapp ID and I am using the URL. But if you pass a ID say from Json ie "href":"/Admin/AppLoader.aspx?client_id=dev-name&ID=111111" it gets passed to the page url. This can be referenced using document.referrer initially. As the app is inside another frame and url that is https there is security issue using parent.location between https and http. Fine but then if you move to a new page referrer is no longer as there is no real referrer and you have to use location but you cannot. Now the work around is to pass the value from the page url to the app url at the start. and then you get around http https security issue when using parent.location but this seems convoluted and like a work around. Is this really the only way or the best way or a bad way. without using other ways that seem over kill for 6 odd characters.

I'm going to be moving data from one array to a larger array on the same RAID but different controller. (I have some extra extra drives I'm also going to be installing Retrospect so I can't just restore from a backup.)
The RAID has 450GB of production files, fonts etc.
What is the best way to move the data over?
I saw that someone had suggested using ditto. Would that be better than MacMV?
I also own Bru LE so I could use that.

I have a two tables in ecc, And I need to read the data and copy to a file and ftp to another server.
One table is really huge. What is the best approch to move this data using PI. I can not avoid PI, since it needs some mapping.
1. Proxy-PI-FTP
2. Dump the data to a file and use FTP_PI_FTP
3. Any other.

it is really a project decision but I can give you some pro's and con's.
Proxy --> File
You cab communicate directly with the XI pipeline which means you don't have to go through the adapter engine.
RFC --> File
This is very standard SAP and most ABAP programmers will be able to utilize this.
IDoc --> File
Standard SAP ALE technology but can get very big due to useless segments
Dump File
The biggest positive of this is the fact that you wouldn't have to convert to XML which will ensure that the message doesn't grow in size as is the case with all of the above.
This is very brief but should give you a good idea....

I have 2 table. one is s_org_ext and another one is s_org_ext_x. Relationship between the two table has 1:1
Table 1:
Column: Row_id,Name.
Table 2:

You can define third table S_org_ext_XM with will be having row_id from s_org_ext and row_id from s_org_ext_x like

What we might need to do is to change the question. What computer do you plan to use the data on in the future? For example, if you have a newer tower, just move the hard drive to the new tower. If you want to use the data, what about an ethernet LAN to get the data over? If you want to archive the data, how do you store the second drive? What are your plans for the first drive? If the new software will not recognize the old file type, the data must be exported. Just getting files to another hard drive will not finish your journey.
As Allan said, knowing the exact model and year of your tower is important. My suggestion is to find a user group near you. Please post back with more information, including the name of a large city near you.
For example, our user group just experimented with a 1983 Apple IIc that predates the Mac. It started right up, read files from 1984 and saved them from a 5.25" floppy to a 3.5" floppy. That 3.5 floppy will go into a platinum G3 which will read PRODOS files using Apple File Exchange. That G3, with a USB card, will allow saving the files to a USB flash drive. But, somewhere along the way, some software has to read the file and convert it to data that is useable by current software.

What kind of data you are looking to move?
Database export/import is only supported for full database export/import and the application release should be the same on the source/target nodes.
You can move the setup using iSetup or FNDLOAD.

You can also call a custom DTSX package in SSIS via the datamanager.
there are at least 5 ways of transfering data in BPC between apps.
1. Through the front end (excel etc) via evdre/evsnds
2. Through Script logic using *Dest App
3. Using BPC's standard export dtsx package via DM
4. Using SSIS using BPC's custom SSIS tasks
5. Through Script logic using stored procs.
i am sure people will come up with more.
remember if you use ssis and move data into any table but the wb, you need to process the cube afterwards.

what are the ways to download data from ods?

2. listcube
3. infospokes.
Apart from the above 3 is there any other way to download data from my ods.
I need to download around 90 fields from my ods to a flat file. But listcube doesnt allow me to select all the fields. So i used se11 to download the data from my ods. bUt still se12 doesnt allow me to download all the 90 fields it downloads only 40 fields.
Can anyone suggest me how to select all the 90 fields and download it to an excel sheet.

Hi Haritha,
Go to Tcode SE16, give your ODS active Table name and give width of output list as 1023.
Now run transaction to see your data and then click Settings --> User parameters and Select ALV Grid Display.
Now you should see and Excel Icon on top, click on it then select Table , then
Microsoft Excel and it will open your data with all columns you want.
I just tried for 213 columns

Best way to move data and programs to another profile on same Mac?

Hello,
What is the best way to move data and programs to another profile on the same Mac? I have a user who's profile is corrupt, I know that most programs will work on both the new and old profile however when trying to copy the Desktop folder, or Documents folder I am getting permissions denied.
Sort of like weeding a garden, I'm hoping I do not have to pick the data in each folder and copy individually.

This usually means that a configuration or preference file is corrupted. In this user's /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder locate any preference files associated with iLinc and drag to the Trash.
I would also check in the /Home/Library/Caches/ folder for a file or folder associated with iLinc and delete as well.
See if the problem is resolved in the user's normal account.
It's not that you cannot copy data from account to account, but doing so causes a lot of permissions issues that must be resolved. The MacFixit article I linked above shows what you need to do after transferring from one account to another in order to change permissions on the "foreign" files to those of the destination account.
