Web Assistant 2.0.0.441. Firefox allowed it to be installed without my permission! Googled it but didn't get a clear answer.

I've done the Update yesterday and uncheck all other stuff like Toolbar, Startside or searchoption. But the setup will get some internetconnection to facebook and other websides. The Firewall ask for but I didn't allow it. However, after the Update FF12 an GC19 ask for use the Web Assistent AddOn. I disallow it and don't activate the AddOn's. IE9 are not infected, there was only the old Webassist 1.xxx activ.

Those domains have changed recently from mozilla.com to mozilla.org and the mozilla.org sites are not yet in the phishing protection database.

Firefox does not send e-mails to random users. You only receive mail when you have registered on some official Mozilla e-mail list. Normally these are scam e-mails. They try to scare you and say that you are infected with malware. Then afterwards you are offered a so called "security update" which in reality will infect you computer with a virus. Do not install a fake update.

After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email.

There's nothing special about web services in Java against web services in any other language...there are, after all, several web service frameworks in Java, so it's not as if there's even a single answer to it.
Do you understand what a web service is and the associated standards around one? If you do then you should realise that your question doesn't make much sense...unless you're actually asking what ws packages there are around.

A web application is, roughly spoken, the collection of all html, jsp, and image files and java classes that make up one independent application or service available through www. This concept is used in order to insulate different web applications and make it possible to deploy several of them on the same servlet engine, in the same VM and even under the same (virtual) http server. Each web application has a path of its own. For example you could have a shop application starting with the URL path "/shop/" and a newsticker application starting with the URL path "/news/". Although both applications are deployed to the same server, they're insulated and may have individual settins (through a web.xml file for example).
Web applications are typically deployed by either packing them to a war file (just a jar file with suffix ".war") and placing this to some webapps directory, or by defining web applications in the servlet engine's settings and putting all the files into a corresponding document root. Read the docs of your servlet engine (e.g. Tomcat) for details. By the way, your servlet engine is the "web container".

You have the option to delete the data (at the bottom) if you don't think the space being used is worth the added value the data offers.

There are several versions of the Servlet specification, You need the web.xml to tell the server which version of the spec your application conforms to so the server knows how to deal with different things.
If you have a servlet, you also need the web.xml to define what URL signals a request that should be handled by your servlet.
At this point, you need to sit down and read a book. Do what it says, blindly at first. Just do what it says (but do try to understand the 'what' of it, just don't question the 'why'). After you have a few applications running, go back and ask yourself this question again and try to see what you are using the web.xml for in those applications you have.

Designer Web Assistant and WebDB

We require assistance with linking WebDB to Web Assistant. We are new to the WebDB and the install instructions provided by the Web Assistant download are unclear about the finer points of connecting to the webdb listener. We are using Designer 2.1.2, WebDB 2.1 and Oracle 8.0.5, on a Unix Server, under Windows NT.
Problem:
When the homepage URL (odwa/odwa.cdwp.startup) is requested, using our ODWA id, the following error message is returned: component 'INIT_CGI_ENV' must be declared and identifier 'WWV_DOCLOAD.IS_FILE_DOWNLOAD' must be declared.
To date:
1) WebDB is installed on the Unix server which holds the Designer repository.
2) ODWA id has been created and granted access according to the grant script provided in the download for Web Assistant.
3) The ODWA ddl files have been moved to the server as \orant\odwa\ddl\* and recompiled.
4) The ODWA gif files have been moved to the server as \orant\odwa\images\* and a virtual directory has been added to the Listener Settings as /odwa_images/.
5) A new DAD was created called ODWA, pointing to the repository. The other parameters have not altered our problem and were removed.
6) Web Assistant was previously installed and evaluated as a static client and looks like a very valuable tool. But we require the flexibilty and simplicity of the dynamic approach.

Can you run WebDB itself? (create WebDB modules user the WebDB database browser)?
Did you create public synonyms for all database objects in the OAS_PUBLIC schema (these objects constitute the OAS Web PL/SQL Toolkit; packages such as HTF, HTP and OWA_UTIL should be in this schema)? Did you grant execute privileges on these objects to PUBLIC? (you can test this by connecting to SQL*PLUS and typing: desc htp <enter>.
If this returns a long list of procedure headings, this is probably okay. To be sure, type 'drop package htp' to remove an accidentally installed local instance of this package. If this statement does indeed drop a package, you must ensure no OAS_PUBLIC objects are installed in the ODWA schema.
The last error message you describe: procedure returned no data, could have the following cause: you call ODWA properly but the cdwp package in ODWA writes data to the wrong HTP package. The data returned by the WebDB listener is read from a buffer inside the HTP package (the one that is accessible to the WebDB listener). However, if ODWA writes to another package and therefore another buffer, WebDB listener cannot find any data to return.
To reduce confusion, it is best to make sure the database contains only one HTP package (as well as only one instance of the other objects in the Web PL/SQl Toolkit).

Web assistant dump-file pre-seeded project folder structure

We are using headstart which includes the headstart templates and libraries plus some customized libraries etc. as well.
We haven't installed the web assistant yet I but have read that it has a dump-file that contains a pre-seeded project folder structure.
Can someone give more details about this project folder structure? Does this structure support only the CDM and PJM deliverables?
