What is wrong, Adobe? Please help.

I'm at my wit's end here. Flash is not working right for about 5 weeks now. (ever since the update to 183.5) It's very difficult to even explain what's happening because sometimes it works for hours and then crashes, freezes everything, or loses sound, and will not work again that day. Sometimes it starts playing and within just a few minutes there is no sound. Sometimes it won't load at all and it tells me flash player has crashed. Sometimes a page I open that has flash on it somewhere will just immediately freeze my browser completely and I have to Ctrl Alt Delete to get task manager to close the browser. Sometimes it will work on one browser and not another. Sometimes it will work on one video and yet not another. Sometimes it will work on a site and then an hour later will not work on that same site. Sometimes if I do a restart on my laptop because of flash problems, when it boots back up there is a red x over my speaker in the sys tray and i have no sound at all until the next day. These problems happen on firefox, ie and chrome, all 3 browsers are the latest update and my windows is up to date.
The very latest thing to happen, which prompted me to come write this post, is now my adobe reader won't let me open any pdf files. A window opens and tells me to click the accept button, but nothing at all appears in the window and the accept button remains unclickable.
Adobe, what is going on? I have had a home computer for 15 years and never once had a problem with any Adobe product through countless updates of OS, browsers and Adobe itself. How can this be happening? Why is this happening?
Can someone please help me? I can't do anything I want to do on my computer without this stuff working.

I'm sorry you're running into problems with your system.  It sounds like you might have multiple issues going on, but to dig deeper we're going to need more specifics.  Here's a good post that describes what we'll need and how to generate crash logs:

In addition, you might want to consider either reverting back to a previous version of Flash Player, see this page for archived versions, or installing our latest Flash Player 11 RC release.
I'm not sure what is going on with your pdf files, but I don't believe it's Flash Player related.  Can you take a screenshot of the blank window that is appearing?  That might give us some clues on what's going on.

    What Apple store told you they wanted $249.00 to tell what is wrong?
    If this is a 13" Macbook Pro then that is the cost of the Extended Applecare warranty. As you are outside the 90 days of Free Phone Support then what Apple told you is that to get Phone Support you would either need to pay $45 per phone call or pay $249.00 for the Applecare extended warranty which comes with 3 years Free Phone Support from date of purchase.
    Or you can take it to a Apple Genius Bar and have them look at it for Free.
    Every Mac comes with 1 year warranty and includes only 90 days of phone support. You can buy the extended Applecare warranty anytime within the first year of ownership, IE until the 1 year warranty runs out.
    I suggest you have your computer looked at by either an Apple Authorized Repair Center or Genius Bar and then before the 1 year warranty runs out buying the extended warranty

    I really don't know what else to do anymore i've tried everything! i saw i tried re installing itunes I downloaded quicktime but whatever i try i can't sync any videos into my itunes 11 as in there is nothing I click "Open" like how i usually sync things and then clicked on the video. after that the little window will just dissapear and nothing happens, i'm serious i tried looking for it in the recently added, in the music, in the movies, TV shows, home videos nothing i can't find it anywhere and i know that i SHOULD be able to synce those videos because i synced those videos before. please help me I'm losing my mind!

    Generally i found this thread because i've also got troubles with coax output my problem is in choppy sound with scratches and clipping in Windows 7, when i try to play Dolby Digital or DTS audio in movies or even test sounds from speaker control panel. In win xp all works fine - and in win7 only pcm stereo can normaly being output.
    I try with different drivers (official and from daniel) and nothing helps...
    yep...bios of my motherboard was configured to lower CPU ratio and voltage when idle (C1E option). I turn this option off and all works fine now)

    I had a similar issue but mine said cannot verify username and password as it was aparently incorrect!
    To resolve this i went to generals: App store and clicked on my apple id. when a pop up shows click on view Applie id account. There select the payment process and select NONE in the type of card instead of your visa or mastercard. save it and then you can try getting into facetime., It should be good. It worked for me. Good luck. Lemme know how it goes

    Help  I just downloaded the most recent IOS 6 update  and now messaging and facetime between wifes phone and sons ipod is very messed up.   We were able to fix texting by shutting off Imessaging but still have issues with facetime just keeps saying the person is busy?  any help would be great

    Are you using the same Apple id for your devices? It might be the same Apple id. You can check by going to settings > FaceTime and it will say apple id. If it is the same  log in into a diffrent account all of them. If that doesn't work Please reply to me and I will try my best to help you.

  • 2 iPods will not work on my computer, what is wrong? (please help)

    Okay, so I bought a refurbished 40gb iPod on ebay about 3 weeks ago. When I got it, I plugged it in, it came on, iTunes opened up and asked me what I wanted to name the iPod. I name it, then it starts to sync. It brings over my folders from iTunes, then says "copying song 1 of 143..." Then it just stops and says "you may disconnect your iPod", but none of the songs have been copied.
    I tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in, and now it gives an error message saying "the iPod may be corrupted, you should restore..." I try to restore it and the restoration fails because of an "unknown error". I've tried using different USB ports, tried resetting the iPod, gone through the 5Rs, even updated the digital signatures in XP. NO DICE.
    Now when I plug the iPod in, windows says it's an unrecognized device. I reset it which fixed that problem, but iTunes still can't deal with it. It keeps saying it's corrupted and to restore it but restoration fails.
    I tried it on my other comp (also an XP box), and iTunes said it was synced to another computer, do you want to erase it and sync it to this computer, etc. etc. I did so, and once again, it brings over the folders but no songs will copy. Then the nonsense with the errors starts all over again and it refuses to let me restore it.
    I returned the first iPod to the guy and he sent me another one and it's doing the EXACT same thing as the first. iPod seems fine otherwise, wheel works fine, it charges normally, shows 37.1 GB free space on the iPod screen. But refuses to work. "the ipod could not be restored" error 1418, and all that. I can't even format it under windows.
    Any suggestions? I've tried everything I know of except for uninstalling iTunes 7 and going back to 6.

    You haven't mentioned re-registering the DLL's in windows xp which is the suggested fix on Windows XP for ipod's doing this.
    Disconnect the iPod from the computer and close iTunes.
    Copy the 10 lines below (highlight and ctrl+c or right-click and copy)
    regsvr32 /s softpub.dll
    regsvr32 /s wintrust.dll
    regsvr32 /s dssenh.dll
    regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll
    regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll
    regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll

    regsvr32 /s cryptdlg.dll
    regsvr32 /s initpki.dll
    Open notepad:
    1. Start>Run
    2. Type 'notepad'
    3. Hit return
    Paste the text into notepad (ctrl+v or right-click and paste)
    Save the file as registerdll.bat on your desktop
    Close notepad
    Doubleclick the registerdll.bat file on the desktop
    A command prompt will appear and these items will be processed. When it is finished you can delete the batch file.
    See if it then syncs okay.

    Have you updated it wirelessly or via iTunes? Have you an manual IPSW (firmware file) to update?
    Had you FaceTime before?
    It is maybe turned off in Settings --> General --> Restrictions?

    Windows drivers for Intel wireless cards are known problematic.. If you have plenty of signal and it still cannot keep or hold the connection the issue can simply be the type of wireless.
    Another problem is using names that windows does not easily handle.
    eg If you set the TC using apple names, like
    Fred Blog's Airport Time Capsule wireless24ad12
    Then to windows this is too long.. it has spaces and it has illegal character.
    Change all names on the TC to suit windows. Short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    Also security must be suitable.. I have no idea how old or what OS your dell is, but if you still have issues.. pull off the security on the TC for a test.. if the computer suddenly works, it is not compatible with WPA2 AES. Make sure you also use a password that is mix upper and lower case plus numbers.. avoid special characters and make it 10-20 characters long say.. it is not required to be more than that unless you are paranoid.

    If you cannot remember your security questions for your Apple ID, I would recommend these steps outlined in the article named:

    Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.

    Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?
