What's wrong with my device? It does not allow me to make calls with Skype or Viber... Can someone help?
My device is a Blackberry Z30. Skype and Viber just to work fine. I had to travel abroad and turn off data services while traveling outside of the US but the applications worked just fine with Wi-Fi. Suddenly they stopped working to make calls. I can still send text messages, but when I try to do a voice or video call (in the case of skype), it only says "failed call" and when I try to call using Viber I get an error message that says the I can not use the application until I complete my GMS call which is ridiculous because I'm not using the phone other than trying to place my call through Viber. The interesting thing is that when I go the permission page in my security settings everything indicates that its on but is gray out and I do not have access to change any setting. The same in both applications. The rest of the applications are accessible to change settings. I already uninstalled skype and reinstalled it and still the same problem. I'm ready to back up everything and wipe out the device to original settings.

What is wrong with my phone if it is discolored like a negative film and has flickering lines?
I dropped my Iphone 4 last week, and when I checked it next the screen had severe discoloration, similar to a negative film affect. When I go to the lock screen it is a white screen with flickering horizontal lines on it. On my main screen there are also some lines at the top. I have tried resetting and restoring it and that did not help. And I have also looked at setting to see if that was why my screen was negative, and that was not the problem. Does anyone know what may be wrong with my phone?

What's wrong with this MySQL connection? "Could not create connection to database server"
I'm able to connect to other MySQL databases but this one particular remote MySQL connection isn't working and I cannot figure it out. It probably has something to do with the remote server, not CF, but I thought I'd post it here if anyone had an idea. The MySQL account has full priviledges.
Here is the message when I try to validate the data source:

The root cause was that: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException: Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3 times. Giving up.This happened on two servers. One one, the cause was that skip-networking was turned on. In the other situation, it appears that the database name was case sensitive, so TEST was not the same as test. Even though I edited the data source in the CF administrator, it still didn't work (very misleading). When a coworker entered a new data source with the same information (uppercase database name this time from the start), it worked.
Has anyone else seen this problem with the case sensitive database names? And with the data source in CF not updating the case correctly? Seems like a bug in CF. -

the output stream. As it is now, you attempt to write something (without actually
sending something to your server) and main simply terminates. The server,
still waiting for some input (you didn't flush on the client side), is confronted with
a closed client socket (main on the client side terminated and implicitly closed
the client socket), hence the 'connection reset' exception on the server side.

What's wrong with my MBP. (it's running more like a PC, than a Mac)
I have a Mac Book Pro 15" 2.16 that I've had for nearly a year. It's always been far more buggy than my imac G5, but lately it's becoming unbearable. It's rare for me to get more than 24hrs of uptime, and the system frequently just freezes completely, and all I can do is shut it down and restart.
Sometimes when I'm using it the screen grays out and it gives me a message stating that I have to restart. At this point all I can do is power down.
It has the 513 of factory ram, and then a 1gig stick of corsair value select. I've been wondering if it;s the ram, but I've been pulling the ram modules and trying to run them individually, so we'll see how that goes.
Any tips??? I should note that I'm running attached to a 30" Cinema Display most the time, and I have various firwire and USB devices hooked up. It does run smoother when I have nothing hooked up, and I can shut it down without just having to shut it off, but it seems it should not be crashing hardly at all.
I frequently run maintenance scripts, and also have tried running applejack, but it does not fix the problem.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Is this normal with the intel macs? My imac G5 hardly ever crashes, and I'm fed up with this thing.

Imac G5, Mac Book Pro 15" Mac OS X (10.4.10)The one thing I notice, apart from the RAM which others have commented on, is the process of these kernel panics: panic, shutdown, restart. There is no mention in your posting of anything else to check/fix/repair.
If that is it, then you are investing in disaster and a series of repairs and maintenance checks is suggested. A KP causes certain processes in the OS to be incomplete and carrying on without fixing those could cause problems.
I would at least start with a Safe Start (hold the shift key down at startup) and I would also recommend starting with the install DVD holding down the D key for a hardware check.
I would also urge that you at least run the Disk Utility on the startup (install) disk and if necessary buy a stronger utility. I use Disk Warrior and run that often, before problems occur. Once there are problems it may be all you have. -
What is wrong with itunes 11? it does not work
I have downloaded the latest version of itunes.
As soon as I start it it tries to download something called "Tap Paradise cove" and boasts a 43 hour download. Nothing happens if I try to stop it. No buttons on itunes work. It seems to lock up up the entire pc and I have forcibly power it off to do anything.
I have tried to uninstall rand reload several times and the uninstaller doesn't seem to work.
How do I get rid of it and wait until this gets sorted out?

What's Wrong with My Computer?
I have a G5 desktop computer, I believe it's referred to as a "Power Mac." My mom purchased it some years ago, I think in late 2005 shortly after this particular model was on the market.
Info is:
Version 10.5.8
Processor 4 x 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5
Memory 4.5 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Hard Drive 240 GB (127 GB unused/available)
My mother wasn't using this computer for many years, and my 13" Macbook was giving me trouble, so she gave this one to me. It's all been great (she maxed out the memory and hard drive space when she bought it, even though it is outdated and insignificant compared to current models), except for one little thing... Browsing the internet is usually fine when it's only one window, but not always. However, it is almost a guarantee that while trying to operate multiple windows and trying to play a video, Safari will crash. And not just once in awhile. I'm talking about on a daily basis. During regular offline computer use, like Photoshop or iTunes, the computer will sometimes grey over (as if someone put a fairly thick grey film over the entire screen), and tell me I have to restart the computer. So what's wrong with it? I presume it is a physical issue (failing memory, mother board, etc.), but what?Your computer is not remotely "maxed out" with RAM.
You're describing a G5 Quad like mine (though mine was built in June of 2006), and maxed out means having 16 GB of RAM installed, like mine has.

That's called a Kernel Panic, and, yes, it is most often caused by hardware problems, such as bad RAM or mismatched RAM. I can't imagine how you get to 4.5 GB of RAM without exponentially increasing the risk of mismatched RAM.
RAM has to be installed in matched pairs, starting from the center slots and spreading outward: 4*3*2*1*1*2*3*4
On the other hand, my own personal experience has led me to conclude that Safari is a piece of cr@p. It causes problems just being active in the background, causing other applications to fail.
Check your RAM carefully, starting with just one pair of matched RAM sticks in the two center slots, then adding one pair at a time. Check your hard disk with Apple's Disk Utility.
The kernel panics can be caused by a damaged directory too, so if you own Disk Warrior, run it. If you don't own DiskWarrior, at least Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility and use Verify Disk/Repair Disk with it.
I'd also recommend downloading and installing Applejack and run it according to the instructions.

When I try to send an email either new, or reply on my phone I receive a notification that recepient will not allow relaying. The email will then sit in my outbox. At some point it will send but it is hardly dependable. What is wrong with my settings?
The collum to the right listed similar problems. The solution appears to be that under smtp outgoing settings the user name and password are listed as optional. I have not plugged in the information and it seems to be working. However from my office it always allowed the relaying. The true test will be when I try to respond later from the road.
