What is wrong with the new iTunes?

Every time I plug my iphone 4s into my computer the sync it to itunes... it starts syncing and when its about to finish, all of a sudden a box pops up and says that itunes aint working and closes the program... its really making me mad cuz ive done it about 10 times

I'd try updating using a .dmg installer downloaded from the Apple Website:

What's wrong with the New iMac's AirPort?

Last night I spent 4 hours trying to connect with my brand new wireless router (Netgear DG834PN). The one time I did connect and tried to configure using Netgear's Wizard (using Safari) my Mac's AirPort Extreme dropped the connection, never to return. The next 3hrs 55mins were spent trying to to get the two devices to connect. Unsuccessfully. Very frustrating!
I even tried connecting the two devices via ethernet, and still no joy. What should I do? Is my new Mac's Built-in AirPort Extreme faulty? Is my new wireless router faulty? Any other testing suggestions welcome.
I've have read, on this forum, about possible problems with the new aluminium iMac's AirPort. Is this a known fact or just a batch issue?

*Hi it's me again*
Still no joy trying to connect to my router wirelessly via AirPort.
*+(Xiaofan & Benderissimo)+* - I can't even get as far as logging into the router via a browser. AirPort literally can't see anything even thought it's switched on. This means I have no chance to change the channel or anything else. I'm stuck.
Could AirPort be locked out or something?
On the plus side I have connected to the internet via ethernet. It was no problem at all. I basically connected a length on Cat. 5 cable from port 1 at the back of the router and into my Mac, and *hey presto!* (broadband at full speed). Happy.
The thing is I eventually want to move my iMac upstairs, this is when I need AirPort wireless to start working. I don't want to trail 100ft of Cat. 5 cable all round the house.
What else can I try to make my built-in AirPort Extreme work?

What's wrong with the new forum design.

Thought I'd kick off the list here.
1. O.P. can award a correct answer to themselves.
2. Status stays hidden unless checked, making it hard on both newbies and those trying to help them
3. No advanced search (that I can find) I've given up even trying to look, and users aren't even aware of it
4. Difficult to see what you have or haven't replied to
5. Can't see very far back in the threads
6. Huge waste of space on useless quote bubbles
7. Trying to edit your own settings takes you round in circles
8. Where is the forum how-to and guide?
9. Absurd to ask users to search without a suggested list to work from, the Pages iPad users are constantly landing in the wrong forum
10. I hate the default of sending email advisories and Safari messages of answers in the forum. My Mail Inbox is inundated and I am getting constant pop-ups interrupting my work on my Mac.

BTW I give 2 thumbs up to the improved post formatting options, but that was a long overdue catch up to other forums.

What's Up With the New iTunes Layout?

Ok, so I have been having problems figuring out this new layout. I used to love browsing through all the various iTunes Essentials albums. But now I can't find where I can browse all of them, only the selected ones they put on the essentials homepage. So what am I missing? Is there some trick to browsing all of the albums or has this been removed? Thanks for the help. And Steve, please don't change iTunes again for awhile, I am too old to keep relearning all this.

Yea, I get that but they only have like three sections. New and Newsworthy, and two others they change right now they are Mardi Gras and Old Friends. They used to list like a hundred or more essential albums. I remember seeing stuff like Black Metal Essentials and 60's Protest Essentials. Did they remove many of those albums?

What is wrong with the new operating system download?

When I try to download the new operating system it fails every time. I get all the way to the end of the download and a screen pops up that says my internet connection failed. It's connected 100% though

no error code is given, it gets to the very end of downloading it (so obviously the internet is connected and working perfectly). then when it tries to process the file it says, "Network Connection Timed Out"... every single time!!!!!!

I tried to install the ipod software for my new Nano - I got to the point of regeristring my ipod - and then the program bombed. I then tried to update Itunes - the installation vould not be completed...Message: The installation was interupted before completeing - the system was not modified and try back later. The main issue is that now I have no access to Itunes. The installation or lack there of removed the old version. I have read all of the help topics - I am at a totally loss. And, I can't get to my library....

umm my music is synced depending on how i want it.. so right now I have it set up by artist, and alphabetically.

That sounds as if it could be a hardware problem. I'd make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.

The same way it was done in every previous version.
Connect the device to the computer.
Right click on the device in iTunes and select Transfer Purchases.
Why would you lose any content by syncing with iTunes?
Is this not the computer that the device is normally synced with?

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).
