What is wrong with this javascript with jsp - asap help needed

<script language="javascript">
function checkSubmit(form){
                // Loop from zero to the one minus the number of radio button selections

                        var splitStrArray = new Array();
                        splitStrArray = splitStr.split(","); alert(splitStrArray[2]);
                        splitStrArray[2].trim();
                        if(splitStrArray[2].equals("null")){

                        }else{
                            document.forms[0].action="isbnSearch.jsp";
                            form.submit();
        </script>the above javascript method is acting stupid.. it shows the first two alerts but does not go in the if statement "if(splitStrArray[2].equals("null")){ " and does not show the third alert. i do not c any problems pls help... when i click the option and submit it gives me a jasper exception pointing to some line which does not involve this code...

it has started working now basically the problem was the trim() method which i have removed and have changed .equals("null") to == ..
BUT NOW it always does the else command and goes to the isbnsearch page even if the value is null (if null then it should go to another page)...

  • What Is Wrong With My Program Help

    This Is The Assignment I Have To Do:
    Write a Java program that prints a table with a list of at least 5 students together with their grades earned (lab points, bonus points, and the total) in the format below.
    == Student Points ==
    Name Lab Bonus Total
    Joe 43 7 50
    William 50 8 58
    Mary Sue 39 10 49
    The requirements for the program are as follows:
    1.     Name the project StudentGrades.
    2.     Print the border on the top as illustrated (using the slash and backslash characters).
    3.     Use tab characters to get your columns aligned and you must use the + operator both for addition and string concatenation.
    4.     Make up your own student names and points -- the ones shown are just for illustration purposes. You need 5 names.

  • HELP My webcam has horrible picture, horrible pixel capture rate, ect. What's wrong with it? HELP

    I (try to) use a Creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro webcam. The sound seems to work great. The effects I can add to the videos seem wonderful. There is only one major problem......the picture on this webcam is abysmal. It isn't just too dark or too sloppy or whatever, the whole pixel capturing rate seems heavily flawed. The webcam picture (both video recording, photo capture, and everything else) is extremly blurry and my face looks like a moving colored blob. The video picture looks like a tiny picture that has been enlarged a lot that you can see the little pixel squares, and the problem gets worse when you actually start the recording and is incoherent.
    The webcam is relatively new and cost me $50. Now this may not be a particularly expensi've webcam but it doesn't mean the picture should be as bad as a video from the 930s (worse in fact but with color). What is wrong with my webcam and what can I do to fix the picture?

    I think you can thank Apple for this.  See this discussion.

  • Iphoto update is messed how, i do i fix it. Photos that i try to sync aren't showing up in my "Last Import" or "Last Month" What's wrong with it? I need help a.s.a.p

    please i need help on this. I really need to fix this

    Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
    Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
    Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. More information means you get better assistance.

  • What is wrong with Time Machine_need help

    I run a PowerMac G5 with 2 internals 250Gb drives. The second one is on Do not backUp in the TM options.
    Here is the question. I had a 500Gb external for TM, and it kept close to 6 months of backups.
    It died on me and I repaced it with a new one (laCie 500Gb) on Oct 10/09 and started a new TM backup program. As of today, my oldest backUp on TM is Feb 02/2010 and I see only 12 backUps above Latest.
    I downloaded the Widget you mentioned and the last entry is:
    Starting standard backup

    I am not doing anything different as before, so what is happening,
    Need your help.

    get TimeTracker http://www.charlessoft.com/ or Backuploupe and see what exactly is being backed up every time. it will give you a better idea of why the backups are so large.

    I finally figured it out. It was combination of things.

    If you have a frame labelled "2" then it should be:

  • I can't figure out what's wrong with this code

    First i want this program to allow me to enter a number with the EasyReader class and depending on the number entered it will show that specific line of this peom:
    One two buckle your shoe
    Three four shut the door
    Five six pick up sticks
    Seven eight lay them straight
    Nine ten this is the end.
    The error message i got was an illegal start of expression. I can't figure out why it is giving me this error because i have if (n = 1) || (n = 2) statements. My code is:
    public class PoemSeventeen
    public static void main(String[] args)
    EasyReader console = new EasyReader();
    System.out.println("Enter a number for the poem (0 to quit): ");
    int n = console.readInt();
    if (n = 1) || (n = 2)
    System.out.println("One, two, buckle your shoe");
    else if (n = 3) || (n = 4)
    System.out.println("Three, four, shut the door");
    else if (n = 5) || (n = 6)
    System.out.println("Five, six, pick up sticks");
    else if (n = 7) || (n = 8)
    System.out.println("Seven, eight, lay them straight");
    else if (n = 9) || (n = 10)
    System.out.println("Nine, ten, this is the end");
    else if (n = 0)
    System.out.println("You may exit now");
    else
    System.out.println("Put in a number between 0 and 10");
    I messed around with a few other thing because i had some weird errors before but now i have narrowed it down to just this 1 error.

    Appreciate your help
    Raja Lakshmi

    hello,
    what you are trying to do :
    fetch the current date and return it as the result of the formula-column.
    what you are actually doing :
    fetch the current date, convert it to text, assign this text to a date-variable which causes an implicit type-conversion.
    in your case you create a date-string with the format dd-mm-yyyy. the implicit conversion then tries to convert this string back to date using the NLS settings of your session. depending on your NLS_LANG and NLS_DATE_FORMAT this might work, if your session-date-format is dd-mm-yyyy which obviously it is NOT as you get the error.
    what you should do :
    select sysdate into curr_date from dual;
    this fetches the sysdate and stores it in your date-variable. there is no type conversion needed what so ever.

    the oracle reports team

    VALUES (SELECT TO_DATE(HH_END_DATE||' '||HH_END_TIME,'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS'), HH_SWITCHPORT, HH_SCRIPT,'N'
    FROM tmp_healthhit_load WHERE HH_SCRIPT !='BROCHURE' UNION
    SELECT TO_DATE(HH_END_DATE||' '||HH_END_TIME,'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS'), HH_SWITCHPORT, HH_SCRIPT,'N' FROM tmp_healthhit_load WHERE HH_SCRIPT !='BROCHURE');
    I always got an error like;
    VALUES (SELECT TO_DATE(HH_END_DATE||' '||HH_END_TIME,'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS'), HH_SWITCHPORT,
    ERROR at line 3:
    ORA-00936: missing expression
    but I can't find anything wrong, who can tell me why?
    thank you so much in advance

    For starters, an insert select does not have a values clause.

    Even I see "missing VALUES" as the only error

    ...and why are you doing a UNION on the exact same two queries?
    (SELECT TO_DATE(HH_END_DATE||' '||HH_END_TIME,'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS') ,HH_SWITCHPORT ,HH_SCRIPT ,'N' FROM tmp_healthhit_load WHERE HH_SCRIPT !='BROCHURE' UNION SELECT TO_DATE(HH_END_DATE||' '||HH_END_TIME,'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS') ,HH_SWITCHPORT ,HH_SCRIPT ,'N' FROM tmp_healthhit_load WHERE HH_SCRIPT !='BROCHURE');

    Hi,
    thank you for your answer, but the problem is, if I deleted "values" as you pointed out, and then execute it again, I got error like "ERROR at line 3:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel", and I was then disconnected with server, I have to relogin SQLplus, and do everything from beganing.
    so what 's wrong caused disconnection, I can't find any triggers related. it is so wired?
    I wonder if anyone can help me about this.
    thank you very much

    Hi,
    acturlly what I do is debugging a previous developer's scipt for data loading, this script was called by Cron work, but it never can be successfully executed.
    I think he use union for eliminating duplications of rows, I just guess.
    thank you

    Scratch the VALUES keyword then make sure that the select list matches the column list in number and type.
    1 insert into marktest
    2 (fld1, fld2, fld3, fld4, fld5)
    3* select * from marktest
    UT1 > /
    16 rows created.

    try this - just paste the code and give me the error- i mean past the entire error as it is if error occurs
    INSERT INTO xhealthcall_script_data
    (xhc_call_ended, xhc_switch_port, xhc_script_id,
    xhc_fax_specified)
    SELECT TO_DATE (hh_end_date || ' ' || hh_end_time, 'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS'),
    hh_switchport, hh_script, 'N'
    FROM tmp_healthhit_load
    WHERE hh_script != 'BROCHURE'
    UNION
    SELECT TO_DATE (hh_end_date || ' ' || hh_end_time, 'MM/DD/YY HH24:MI:SS'),
    hh_switchport, hh_script, 'N'
    FROM tmp_healthhit_load
    WHERE hh_script != 'BROCHURE';
    Regards

    Hi, Jagan:
    thank you very much for your answer.
    but when I execute it, I still can get error like:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    so wired, do you have any ideas?
    thank you very much

    And this one,
    Aother question about SQL?
    I thought I already told him to deal with
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    problem first.
    There's nothing wrong (syntax wise) with the query. (of course when no "value" in the insert)
