What isthe purpose of the almost invisible links shown below the title of a post.

I just made a post and if I look closely, there are a number of what appear to be very faint links just to the right of the date.
You can only tell what they are if you hover oer them and the tooltip appears with no text included.
If they are links, then something is wrong with the CSS on the page, as they are white on almost white and as such are invisible in Firefox.
Clicking them has unexpected results as you do not know what to expect.
Can anyone explain?
Or is it just my browser that has the problem.

Looks like the Forum people at Adobe are experimenting with tags linked to posts.
Mouseover the tags and you can see how they're used in the URL querystring (the bit after the question mark) in the browser status bar.
Tags are a common tool in CMSes and forums to assist with filing and retrieving posts and related records. Check any Wordpress blog.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

In version 3.6 I can not open a website link from original page, I keep getting a new window that is blank and asking me to put in a web address. What has changed with the new version?

When on a page if I click on a web link I get a new window that is blank and asks me enter a web address. This started happening with the new 3.6 version. It seems to have something to do with what I choose for the location in my privacy settings as the window changes with each setting but I still cannot get to the new site. Any ideas? I have no problem with this in IE and I have to keep opening IE when I encounter the problem on Firefox which is annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

On the right side of the br5owser there is a scroll bar, that scroll bar does not have any contrast and is almost invisible, can't find it ???

Have seen some other questions similar to mine and they may be about same issue , but they say that the scroll bar vanishes, in effect it is still there but nearly invisible. Trying to click on it without knowing the exact location however causes the page to scroll uncontrolled. The other questions advised people to reset their browser to default but that didn't help at all. Have had this same issue for about the last 6 versions of firefox, all say in the 30s versions. Tried adding high contrast in Windows as an experiment but that didn't help at all either. Been trying help for some time and just now decided to ask my own question as other questioners may have given up or answerers may think it is resolved.
In searching through help files it has led me to find a space based theme for the browser that I enjoy, but does not solve issue of course, so... all is not lost. Took a jpg of the image of the browser that shows the issue and am trying to upload it but looks like it is stuck in upload mode. Ugh "high speed" , anyhow maybe it uploaded and is not showing, the bar on the right is about 3/4 of the way down the side if you can see it, almost invisible.

What is the purpose of the iTunes app on my iPod Touch?
All it does is connect to the iTunes store if I'm near a WiFi connection. It appears to be useful only for impulse purchasing of media. So why is it not named "iTunes Store"? It appears to have no other function.
Also, to listen to my iTunes music on iPod Touch I have to click on the Music button...not the iTunes app. What logic is that?
Also, iTunes has synced a movie for me, but I have no clue how to view it on the iPod Touch. It doesn't appear in iTunes on the iPod Touch, and there is no "Movie" button anywhere. What am I missing? I can't find it anywhere.

We have dozens of synchronous projects but only two of them are writing records to these tables. What makes a sync bpel project write to these tables and what is there purpose? I've seen them listed in various purge scripts so I have to assume they support audit trails or something similar.

I have an update. The two projects use the "inMemoryOptimization" property and that's the cause of the writing to the db. Why would this property trigger a write to the db when the purpose of the property is to do all processing in memory?

What is the purpose of the chain (lock symbol) between a solid color layer and its vector mask in the layer panel when creating shape layers with a shape tool? I'm just curious when locking or unlocking the solid color layer and its vector mask can make a difference.

I don't understand what you said and your shape layer looks different then mine using CS5.
When the chain is deselected, I can't do anything with the move tool on the shape layer. This is the only difference I can find. Making the solid color uniform or not doesn't change anything.
Your example shows that you moved the position of the solid color, how did you do that? I can create a solid color layer and change its uniform look by applying an effect like gradient but I can't move the solid color itself around. How is this possible?

In the time line, cutaways and titles are supposed to be linked on the top side of movie clips in the time line window. I don't know what I did, but now they are linked to the bottom side. How do I get them up to the top where they belong?

I'm working on a movie in FCP and using cutaways and titles in many places in the timeline. While working on a movie 2 days ago, and I don't know what I did, all the cutaways and titles are now linked to the movie clips from below rather than above. When I "grab" them and drag them up to the top-side, as soon as I "release", they go back down. Along the menu bar, I've check the "view", "modify", "clips", etc., looking for any thing that might refer to appearance of the time line. What must I do to get the cutaways and titles back on top where they belong? The audio clips remained properly-linked to the time line and play properly. The cutaways and titles can be seen but do not play.

In the iPhoto editing tools, what is the purpose of the tool "Definition". What is it used for? I did an iPhoto Book; a few photos were a little "off".

It quite literally adds definition to the photo. Don't ask my the technical procedure for this, but it makes more details visible in the photo.

I am running Lightroom 4.4 on Windows 7x64. I have heard that under preferences its better to uncheck the box that says "store presets with catalog" because it is better to have the presets not tied to and/or embedded in a specific catalog.
However, I noticed that whether the box is unchecked or checked, the presets are always stored in their own subfolder separate from the catalog. Specifically, if the box is checked the path is: "C: Drive"->Lightroom, if the box is unchecked the path is: "C: Drive"->Users->"username"->AppData->Roaming->Adobe->Lightroom. So the presets are not embedded in the catalog file in either case, they are just stored in subfolders in different places (albeit in one case it seems user specific and in another it seems global).
So what is the real point of the "store presets with catalog" checkbox?

The web.xml file is the standard deployment descriptor for a J2EE web application (or "web module" when it is part of a J2EE Application). The full details of what the web.xml is for is described in the Servlet 2.2 spec (if you're using J2EE 1.2) or the Servlet 2.3 spec (if you're using J2EE 1.3). The web.xml file is used when deploying a WAR file to a J2EE app server. However the message you cite isn't indicating a deployment failure. When you get a deployment failure, you should see a message in the JDev Log Window indicating the reason for the failure. Be sure the Log Window is visible by selecting View | Log Window from the main menu.
