What kind of app lets you see the formating of an item on a webpage?

In an earlier version of Firefox, I had a button or a right-click menu item, I forget which, which when selected, would open a small horizontal window at the bottom of my screen, and show me the html of the source document, and also, in the right pane, show the formatting from the css document that governed that item.
It was great for a beginning web builder to see a really nice page, and look and see what font was used, and how the line spacings went, etc.
I can't remember what that Add-in was called, and I don't even know what to look for in the myriad selections of add-ins.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks.

What do you mean with: ''FireFox is automatically swapping toward other " http://www.free.fr" home page'' ?
Do you mean that Firefox goes by itself to the www.free.fr if you open the leschamoisvolants.free.fr site ?

  • Does the photos app let you use the sepia option?

Did Apple take away the sepia tone for editing pictures?  If not, how do I find it?  I have looked everywhere.

It appears so.  I've tried to simulate it with a variety of edits with no success.  Tell Apple what additional features you want in Photos or features returned via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

  • What does it mean when you see the battery symbol with red and black and an "lightening" symbol below it

Why doesn't the battery on my new iPhone 4s last very long?  I charged it yesterday late afternoon.  Did not use it at all and it was completely dead this morning.

All icons are covered in the User's Guide... might be a good idea to browse through it.
Also, a simple search of these forums or google will result in a plethora of information regarding battery life.  Help yourself by doing a little research.

    rajlego,
in the Keyboard pane of System Preferences, select the Shortcuts tab, and then select Mission Control on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side, make sure that the Mission Control checkbox is checked, double-click on its current key combination (by default “^↑”) so that the key combination is highlighted, and then press the F3 button — that will set its shortcut to be F3. You can now press F3 to bring up Mission Control without needing to also press the Fn button.

I need help identifying an old Macintosh game: it was a painting game where you rode a roller coaster to an art museum and you got to pick what kind of art work you were going to make. It was animated, 2D i believe. This was the early 90's and I've been trying to hunt it down. I think there was some kind of animal in it, a giraffe maybe?

Could you be thinking of Microsoft Home's "Fine Artist" for Macintosh, as shown in this Amazon.com listing?  This program was bundled with the Performa series of Macs during the mid-90s.

  • What kind of antivirus do you suggest for mac OS X Maverics?

What kind of antivirus do you suggest for OS X Maverics?

OS X already includes everything it needs to protect itself from viruses and malware. Keep it that way with software updates from Apple.
A much better question is "how should I protect my Mac":
Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Disable Java in Safari > Preferences > Security.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.

  • I ACCIDENTLY REMOVED AND THREW AWAY WHATEVER IT IS THAT LETS YOU SEE YOUR PICS AND DOWNLOADS? HOW CAN I FIX IT SO I CAN SEE MY PICS AGAIN?

i cant see any of my photos unless i click on them same goes with downloads all i see is the document looking icon that says jpeg , i can see  the pics in my i photo but not in my folders ? i think i threw a folder away out of application supp0rt ? r? i have no idea what i did?  how can i fix it?

Are you using handcent sms or a text app? if so, uninstall it. If no, boot the phone into safe mode. What kind of droid is this? the original droid? droid x? bionic?  You can also call tech support but its really annoying to wait in line its much easier to google your model droid safe mode and it will tell you how to do it. When in safe mode you should be able to see them. if not, you need to do a master clear aka reset. Save your info and reset it and that will fix it for sure.

  • What can be preventing me to see the activated multiprovider in BEx?

    Hi,
So I have two different multiproviders in Netweaver 7.0 all activated; all under the same infoarea. In BEx, when I try to open to queries attached to these multiproviders, one comes with its queries transported from BW 3.0 but the second multiprovider does not appear in BEx when I searched under InfoArea, let alone see the attached reports.
What can be preventing me to see the activated multiprovider in BEx?
It is some setting in Netweaver, I will appreciate stepst to fix it.
[Note: after the transport, one of the multiproviders had activation problem and was fixed by adding char and key figure, activing update rules, etc... just in case these hints will help you to guide me ]
    Thanks

    Amanda,
Make sure the second Multiprovider has queries. If you had problems in the activation and queries were included in the same transport, most probably they were not copied.
Maybe you need to retransport the queries.
Not having queries would be the only reason for it not to show in the BEx tree, as far as I know.
    Regards,
    Luis

  • How do you see the path in Yosemite?

How do you see the path in Yosemite? What is the command to reveal the path to any given file? Is it somewhere in Finder?

    This is even better:
    Open the Terminal application
Enter the line below exactly as it appears (Copy/Paste may/not work: highlight the line of text > switch to the Terminal app > cmd-v):
defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool TRUE
*Note: there are single spaces after 'defaults', after 'write', after 'com.apple.finder', after '_FXShowPosixPathInTitle', and after '-bool'
    Then hit enter
That's it! Go ahead and Quit Terminal (cmd-Q).
    Now:
Close any Finder windows you have open.
Open a new Finder window, and it should look like this:
You can then get rid of the path bar at the bottom:
Finder Menu > View > Hide Path bar -- or just use the keyboard-shortcut: cmd-opt-P

  • What kinds of graphics do you convert to PDF, and why?

I work on new ideas for Document Services. Many people convert graphics to PDF, and we'd like to know more. What kinds of graphics do you convert to PDF? And why? Are there features we could add to Create PDF that would be useful to you? Please let us know - it'll help us build better products.

To transfer video you will need a IEEE1394 (Firewire) cable.  The Sony name for this is an i.Link and is labeled as DV on the camcorder.  The end of the cable that connects to the camcorder must be a 4-pin connector.  The end that connects to the computer is either a 4-pin connector (usually a laptop) or a 6-pin (a desktop PC).  Of course all of this depends on whether or not your computer has a Firewire port. If you computer does have a firewire port you will need to know whether or not is a Firewire 400 or 800 port.  It's not hard to tell the difference by looking at your computer as the 400 and 800 cables have different connections on the end that you plug into the computer.

  • How can I get LION to let me see the side of folders?

How can I get LION to let me see the side of folders?
and files? at the bottom of the window as in snow leopard.
I miss this and rely on it to monitor the available space on the hard drives ect.

Dov, that is close but not in the status bar but at the bottom of the volder window. Surely , everyone can't have forgotten snow leopard and leopard et al already, where you could could to display at the bottom of all ovened folders to see the status of the the files and hard drive. Boy I WISH I HAD A SCREEN SHOT OF WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
Yes you can get the info from get info and in the list view. But we use to be able to have a line at the bottom that gave a running total, which to me was very useful as I throughput mondo files to discrete drives thoughout my network for sorting photos by topic to seperate drives.
ah here we go a screen shot off my macbook running snow leopard, it is that grey  bar at the bottom which says "4 items 137,26 GB available",that I am wanting in the LION window bottom.

  • What kinds of cpu can you put in a 2007 modal imac to bring it to its maxwhat

What kinds of cpu can you put in a 2007 modal imac to bring it to its max
    Thanks

While it CAN be done I don't know if you'll see enough bang for your buck to make it worthwhile. IMO you'll get a better return by installing an SSD and maxing out the ram. That said I don't have any idea which cpu you could swap for.
