What kind of RAM do you use with your K7D Master-L? (esp. unbuff)

I was windering what kind of RAM people sue with their K7D Master-L mobos.  I recently got one with a 512 stick of Mushkiin Level 2 CAS222 RAM however I'm having boot problem. I'm going to test registered RAM soon to see if that is the problem.
Have people had success with unbuffered RAM? I really want to use Mushkin or Corsair XMS RAM for their high performance and overclockability, but if I can't oh well

Use registered. I have used kingston and infineon working fine ( besides some funny things at some point)
Senior people will tell you there isn't any choice...

  • What kind of mouse do you use?

The trusty Logitech wireless mouse that I've used for about 5 years now is nearing the end of its life and I'm looking for suggestions on a replacement. The Arc Mouse by Microsoft has received some nice reviews; so far it's at the top of my list.
Simple question, what kind of mouse do you use now?

I'd vote Logitech's Performance MX mouse all the way! (assuming that you are right handed though, it is really made for right-hand use only)
    Love them!
It is a cordless, rechargeable design with a laser that works on just about any surface, even glass. The scroll wheel is butter smooth and has inertia for massive scrolls.
This is one of the most expensive options out there, but IMHO so worth it.

  • What kind of printer would you use to print on a lorry?

    Hi,
One of my client sells items from the lorry, so he wants his drivers to print invoices on the way. My question is what kind of printer would you use to print on a lorry? Any idea, experience?
    Thx in advance,

    Hi Laci,
There are quite a few mobile printers, for example HP does a range of battery powered Officejet printers which you could use on the go. For instance, check this out:

  • 1. Will CAL Licenses works if i use Windows Server 2012? 2. What GB of RAM can be used with Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition?

I have been using Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition for my business purpose and there are at-least 30 Users who logged in into the server Via Remotely from different location. I want to upgrade my server with latest one with some extra cores and RAM for
better and smooth operations for all users. So, i have a doubt whether my CAL Licenses will works with Windows Server 2012 or i need to purchase the new one for the same?
Moreover, if i don't upgrade my Windows to any 2012 edition and stay on 2008 Standard Edition how much maximum RAM can be installed at a time? is there any limitations? if Yes, please let me know how do i upgrade my Windows 2008 Standard Edition to any other
business edition to avoid such limitations of RAM?
Waiting for your favorable and quick response.

    Hi again,
th eupgrade optiuon from Standard 2008 to Enterprise 2008 was only available for customers with open value contract with activ esoftware assurance then they can purchase the step up license from Standard to Enterprise.
the only way to have the Enterprise 2008 Edition is to make th edowngrad efrom 2012 Standard to 2008 Enterprise. it means that if you purchase the 2012 R2 Standard Edition, you may downgarde to Enterprise 2008/2008 R2. th ebest way to make the downgrade
to 2008 R2 Enterprise is to purchase the current Version 2012 R2 Standard in volume licensing than you can download diretly from VLSC the Enterprise Edition.
with your downgrade you can still using the 2008 CALs.
    thanks

  • What kind of T1 service to use with a T1 IMA card?

If I have two routers geographically separated, and each router has a 4 port T1 IMA ATM module, what kind of T1 service do I need to order?
Let's say I want 3Mbps bandwidth. So, I have to order 2 access T1's at each location. Now, do these T1's have to be leased lines? Can they be frame-relay? Can I connect the IMA card to a provider's ATM network??
Also, will a multiport IMA ATM card support just one T1, or does it have to be at least two??

The IMA cards are specifically for
    ATM network connectivity;

You can use any number of the 4 ports
    that you wish.

  • What display do you use with your 2005 Mac mini?

    Hi all,
I was wondering which displays people are using with their 2005 Mac minis and
which (if any) adapters are necessary?
    Thanks!
    Mike

I'm using a Magnavox 15" LCD TV via it's VGA input on my day one mini. The original 2005 minis have a full sized normal DVI output and came with a DVI to VGA adapter. If yours no longer has that, it's the only adapter you'd need for most common computer monitors. Many newer monitors come with DVI already, so no adapter would be needed.

  • What kind of database can I use with jsp pages?

Well I have been an ASP programer for a while and now I want to be able to host sites on an Apache server so that means i need to just jsp pages or something that is not windows dependant. So I need to start a database, a small one just for client information, and I don't know what to create it in. I was going to use MS acess but I am guessing that won't work with jsp. So what are my options for desktop database applications? Should I download star office and try that I havne't ever used that but I imagine it comes with some kind of database program. Well let me know thanks.

JSP should work with any database that worked with ASP. The key is to use JDBC which is the equivalent to ADO. As long as you get the appropriate driver for the database, you're all set. As the previous poster mentioned, for MS Access you must use a JDBC-ODBC bridge which is really a JDBC driver that works on top of ODBC. This is the worst performing type of driver, but if you're using MS Access then perhaps performance isn't a priority.
Check out the Sun tutorial on JDBC if interested.

  • What brand of RAM do you recommend with this board?

    Hey guys!
I wanted to know if any of you guys could recommend RAM that would be good for this system.  I am running a custom water cooling kit so I am planning of pushing the processor to 4ghz+.  The problem I have right now is that I cant get the RAM to run past 410mhz, and thus it is limiting my processor FSB to 205.  Also I am pretty sure this ram is limiting my video card tremendously.  Also what speed would be suitable?  Could I go with a good ddr433 dual channel kit?  Or should I plunge to ddr500?  I tried searching these boards but its hard to find info about what people recommend about ram.  I was mainly hoping to learn from everyones experience.
As a side question, my video card is performing below average.  I have the PCI latency set to 64 and agp aperture size is at 128, are these settings good?
    Currently I am running:
    875p Neo LSR
    Prescott 3.4ghz
    Asus Ax800XT PE
256x2 DDR400 2-3-3-6 Geil Golden Dragon in dual channel
    Ultra X-Connect 500W PSU
    Thank you in advance!

I scrapped it all.  As long as you buy a good brand you'll be ok. Corsair is probably the best.  235x17=3995. So pc 4000 would cover you to 4.0 easy, provided you get there. Try to get the lowest latency ram you can afford, other than that just make sure its a good brand. Corsair, Ocz, G-skill and maybe Geil?.
    LKS
    Edit*#4
Until you buy faster ram, you can set a divider to see how high the proc will go.

  • What screen do you use, with your MBP?

    Hiya,
im lookin for more screen real estate. what do you guys use? im kind of eyen' the Acds...???
    Thanks.

I have been using a 23-inch Apple Cinema Display for two years now, and I have loved every minute of it!
I have never had any problems at all, and I have had the monitor running solid for those two years.
Before my Apple Cinema Display, I had tried displays from Dell and Samsung, both of which had to be returned due to defects.
In the studio, I connect my MacBook Pro to a Sharp Aquos TV, which has always performed exceptionally well too.
    Good luck!

There is always a limit. The details here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa366778%28v=vs.85%29.aspx#physical_memory_limits_windows_server_2008
In the article you will find the limitations for other Windows OSs too.

  • What kind of glue do you use to glue the screen on?

I found a site that shows how to take apart the iPod nano 6th gen. but it did not show how to put back together. Do you have to use a certain glue or is the glue still good?

Usually a Phillips #00 - I like the ones with the magnetic heads. I ordered this kit from OWC - has everything you'd need in it.

  • What kind of card should I use with my DAQ setup?

We are using the e-series multifunction DAQ PCI-MIO-16XE-10 and are looking for a good DAQcard to go with it. We are wondering if there is a DAQcard with 16 bit analog output and higher than 20 kS/s.

National Instruments currently doesn't have a 16-bit analog output PCMCIA card. There is a 16-bit analog input card, however. For those customers interested, I am referring to the DAQCard-AI-16XE-50.
If speed is critical, you might still consider the 12-bit DAQCard-6062E. It has a single-channel analog output rate of 850 kS/sec.
