The role for a coherence node is normally determined by the application. The tangosol.coherence.role system property is used to configure this value. Some out-of-the-box Coherence applications. CacheFactory (com.tangosol.net.CacheFactory) sets this value to CoherenceConsole. DefaultCacheServer sets this value to CoherenceServer. MBeanConnector sets the value to TangosolNetMBeanConnector. While that is definitely the case with the full BI Platform, I'm not entirely sure that it's correct for Crystal Reports Server. CRS is limited to Crystal Reports - the features for other parts of the BI Platform are not enabled, so I don't believe you can publish from Dashboards into CRS.

The Monitoring Dashboard is a standard feature of the platform. Just because it works, doesn't mean that content for Dashboards is enabled. You could try publishing from Dashboards to test, but it probably won't work.

Sorry, I don't know of a way to set up different schedules for different emails. I thought that you wanted push for one, and fetch for the other one. I think that is an option, but not sure since I only get emails in one of my accounts.

I am doing a research project on security that internet browsers provide to their users and was wanting more information about what security features they provide to protect their users.

Security Features like sandboxing and checking websites before opening them. Things like that. What does Firefox do to protect their users from getting viruses/malware/spyware if the user doesn't have any anti-virus software? That's the scenario I was asking about. Sorry about the confusion.

You didn't mention what version of Apex you are using. If you are on 4.0, this can be done easily using dynamic actions.

we have created crystal reports based on sap r/3 data using open sql driver and imposed row level security and published to BOE.The user when opens report with view on demand can see the data which he is supposed to see.
Is it possible to schedule a single instance of the crystal report and then all the users access the instance and see the data that they are supposed to see.If not what is the other way out.

Since the Icelandic characters are not displaying properly on reports, you would most likely need the correct font to see those characters correctly and that font would most likely come from a MS language pack. Try installing the MS Language pack.

You need to pick "Crystal Data Objects" from the list of Data Access options offered by Crystal Reports when you are installing it -- that item is not selected by default.
To add that to your machine:
- Open Add/Remove Programs
- Select Crystal Reports 11 and click on the Change button
- Expand the tree under "Data Access"
- Select "Crystal Data Objects" and click on it
- Select it to be installed -- you will probably need your Crystal Reports CD to proceed with the installation.

Does Crystal Reports need to be on the web server?

here's my scenario. someone who left us moved a .Net web application from server 1 to server 2 and didn't leave us notes of what he did. The report came up on server 2 fine but was not getting the right data so we changed the datasource to get the data correctly. Now we deployed the fixed version on server 2 and refreshed the web server. Now we see the correct results BUT the Business Objects icons (e.g. BO image, print icon, forward and back icon) are all "X" meaning that they could not be found.
We took a look at server 1 and it had the full version of Crystal Reports installed on it. On server 2 it looked like the DLLs were dumped into the GAC and that's all.
We're a bit perplexed by why it was working on server 2 with all the Business Objects icons even though Crystal Reports was not installed on it until we restarted the server with the fixed code. We were thinking maybe it's some sort of caching?? I've never seen this before so I'm a bit perplexed.
Any ideas on why this happened?

Mysterious for sure. When you say;
no virtual directory to crystalreportviewers115 and Crystal reports is not installed on the server (except for seeing only a few CR Dll's)...so how the heck did he get it working
You're essentially saying something like;
The car has no wheels, no engine, yet somehow it managed to get from point A to point B.
Sorry to say, but it ain't happening...
The only way to get a project that includes CR to work is to deploy the CR runtime. Either via MSI file where a simple double click will install the runtime and configure the viewer directory under the default app pool, or via a setup project you build using the CR MSM files. Again the files will be installed and the viewer directory configured under the default app pool. If your app is under a custom app pool, you need to configure the viewer folder under that pool as the install has no idea about non default app pools. What kind of configuring does Apple do when buying an iPad?

I've noticed that when you buy an iPad-mini Retina wi-fi + cellular at store.apple.com, and you select the options that you want, that the following statement appears when you select the carrier:
"Your iPad will be configured to operate with the carrier you choose right out of the box."
What kind of configuring is going on here? Does Apple simply use the iPad itself to fill in the Cellular Data settings for the chosen carrier and perhaps edit the APN appropriately? Or is there more to it than that? If so, what?
As part of this step does Apple insert the appropriate nano-sim card into the iPad tray before it is shipped to the buyer?

Hi Eric,
I bought an iPad Air 64 GB Verizon Cellular. When I received it I set it up then called verizon. The iPad was ready to connect to Verizon and I could add it to my plan. The cellular setup took about 5 minutes, most of that was a reboot while it propagated itself onto the verizon network. The sim was already installed and the iPad was easy to configure.
That beats the heck out of driving 6o miles, in my case, to a verizon store, getting a sim, setting up the iPad and driving home another 60 miles.

What kind of compression does Acrobat do when files are combined?

I'm working with some raster print media (specifically PNGs) that I've combined and saved into PDFs for easier printing. The original files are 300dpi scans, lossless compression.
This is the process I follow:
select files to combine in Windows Explorer
right click > Combine supported files in Acrobat
File size: Default
wait for the new binder to open in Acrobat
Save As > Save as type > Adobe PDF Files (*.pdf)
So it looks like there are two steps where possible compression occurs, 2 (combine) and 5 (save).
2: The "Default" file size button tooltip says all files are kept at their original quality.
5: No information is given on screen as to what kind of compression is done.
The second file type in step 5, Adobe PDF Files, Optimized (*.pdf), gives the option for "Standard" optimization, which compresses images to JPEG and downsizes them to 150dpi. Is this the setting for the first file type as well?

An ordinary save or save as does no additional compression.
