what kind of video formats can i use to import into imovie?
Hello,
Adobe stopped supporting flash for android since ICS. You may still be able to download the latest (old) flash player "at your own risk" from Adobe archived flash player versions:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Please read the disclaimer at the end as it is not advised to install unsupported flash versions.
As for video streaming, there are lot of apps for that and it's just a matter of your preference.
Hope that helps

What kind of video format can i use in photoshop cc?
i tried to import mp4, mov, mpeg etc....all didn't work. what can i do?
Are you getting any error messages?
You could try resetting your preferences (just before starting photoshop hold down the 3 modifier keys
{shift+ctrl/command+alt/option}
When photoshop starts you will get a pop up asking if you want your preferences reset, just click yes and if that message does not appear try again) -

What kind of KVM switch can I use to monitor sun rack with 490s, 245s, and
Hi,
What kind of KVM switch can I use to monitor sun rack with 490s, 245s, and T2000s ?
Ushas SymonIt sounds like the customer and server room operator are using a Microsoft/X86 mindset. There are several selling points on using RSCs & SCs. First off are the big 3 that are easy for any good server room operator to understand: cost, space & power. If you don't have to buy a 1U Tripp-lite pull out rack KVM console ($1700) and a video card for each of your SUN servers ($400, yes SUN vid cards are $$$), you start off by saving several thousand dollars.
Next you need to let them know that you require remote access to the systems from your desk and a standard KVM doesn't allow this (with Unix, if you have to get up from your desk then its a hardware problem). They can choose to purchase a network enabled KVM, but that adds $700 to your $1700 KVM. By using the SC you will be able to administer the system remotely.
Third, remember that SUNs do not show all the critical boot information on a frame-buffer console output. If you are in diagnostic mode during boot, the monitor doesn't show results until it completes. If some process is stuck (missing NFS or fibre-channel hard mounts, memory tests, etc) then you need to be able to see it to fix the problem. Plus, console frame-buffers only give you 25 lines of output that you can't scroll back.
The only small hitch is security. The new SCs (on T5220s) have SSH built in, but the older V240s and V490s use telnet which some security people balk at. The solution that we used is to put the older system SCs on a private LAN. Access to that private LAN from our intranet is via a SSH enabled dual-homed (non-routing) workstation with local user accounts. We SSH to that workstation & then telnet to the SC on the relevant server. That solution allows me to access our servers that are 40 miles away, saving response time to solve customer problems. A crude diagram is below:
your workstation------intranet------[dual homed, non-routing workstation]------[inexpensive switch]------[server SC]
Good luck. -
What kind of range extender can I use with airport express

WHat kind of range extender can I use with an airport express?
Use any router that you want if you will be connecting the extender/router back to the AirPort Express using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection.
If you are planning to use a wireless connection to extend the range of the network.....then another AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule will be required. -
What kind of external microphone can I use with the MacBook Pro?
What kind of microphone can I use with GarageBand in MacBook Pro ?
It depends which MBP you have. Some of the newer ones don't have an audio in port, so you need a USB adapter with an audio in jack.

Thanks!
EdithI would recomment Libre Office instead of Open Office. Look for information on Office 2011 here. You will find iWork '09 Boxed Set here.

Video skips or lags when being imported into iMovie
System Specs: iMac; 3.4 GHz i7; 12GB Ram; OS X 10.6.8; iMovie '11
Other equipment: Sony Mini DV Casette Recorder; Canon XL2; Drobo
I've got my Sony Mini DV Recorder "daisy chained" to my Drobo which is connected to my iMac via FireWire. I'm trying to import video shot on my Canon XL2 into iMovie. However, the video is skipping and/or lagging (depending on one's perspective) during import and during playback within iMovie as well. As far as I can tell, the actual tape is not skipping. When I watch the video on the Sony Recorder's display the playback is "normal", no skip or lag to speak of.Don't give up just yet! Where I work we've got some of those old Sony GVD-1000 series decks (if the pinch roller doesn't break off unexpectedly) and have been able to use a Firewire Adapter that plugs into the Firewire 800 connector. And it adapts then from 6pin Firewire 400 (A-style connector) to the 4-pin connector. That has also worked with some cheapy Canon MiniDV cams we have too.
It's a Sonnet Technologies plug:
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/fw_adapter.html
Now it may make no sense at all, versus a hard wired cable that has the correct connectors on both ends, but maybe give an adatper a try and use your old 6pin-4pin cable? I completely understand wanting to keep the head wear down as much as possible on the XL2. That would be a tragedy to use that device as simple feeder deck just to do importing of video. -
What kind of video intro can I get away with?
I would like to have a video of about the size and quality of this apple Final Cut Studio NAB video.
http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/action/?movie=nab
Only not nearly as long. Well under a minute for sure! Can I get away with this in iweb with autoload setup for the initial splash screen of my website. I'll be using a .mac account.
Is there a way to make it have some type of loading indicator and a skip past intro thing? Will it take 3 days to load? Advise? Thanks!Hello John,
The biggest factor on whether people will watch your movie intro is dependent on their connection speed. If all your viewers have cable/dsl then it probably isn't a problem, if you are getting lots of low speed visitors then they won't take the time to let it load—probably.
If you don't already have Statcounter ( http://www.statcounter.com/ ) and or Goggle Analytics ( http://www.google.com/analytics/ ) you should get both. This will allow you to monitor your visitor demographic, giving you the ability to design your site to the needs of the majority.... plus it is fun to see hits come in from across the country and around the world.
Any how, I degress. Even if all your users have fast connection speeds you will probably have better luck with a flash movie which yields a higher quality to lower size ratio then the Quicktime format. Plus, more people have flash installed on their computers then Quicktime. If you don't have a flash converter you can get a resonably priced conveter at http://www.verticalmoon.com/products/video2swf/video2swf.htm
The only problem with using flash (I currently still use Quicktime) is that you will have to add your movies in post publish. Hope that helps.
Kind Regards,

What kind of video converter do you use?
When i got my new ipod classic, I was surprised by the splendid screen.
So i convert many mv,movie to my classic. But there are so many kinds of convert soft, which one should i choose?
Considering both speed and quality!
Quicktime is not always suitable.
And i also have another quesition about video.
some videos after transfered into classic are not full screen dispalyed.
Is it possible to make a "16:9" video fully displayed in my classic ?
Tensile may cause the pictures seems uncomfortable!!
Thanks!!You should use the red kawa: videora ipod converter, which is free
and has different quality settings, however the speed at max quality may take as long as the video long is, and it takes upa lot of cpu
further this is handy as it has an option to add each video directly to the library, and it can also download from youtube -

What kind of blank CDs can I use?
I cannot finish a burning a disk because right when it is nearly finished, it gives an error and ejects the disk, is there a special cd-r? When I am in the eMac I will get the error message, I am on the macbook now. Has anyone else had a problem with burning disks?
And as a follow up to Ian's post, generally you don't need special CD-Rs of any kind on an eMac so the problem is either something with the eMac or a batch of bad CDs. Does this happen on a bunch of CDs from the same pack or did this only happen once and you haven't tried it with other blanks?
