Hi Kerouwhack-
The answer to your question will depend on the cFP I/O modules that you choose for your application. But here's where you can find that information:
1. Go to the following link and select the module that best meets your needs: Compact FieldPoint I/O Modules
2. From the module's product webpage, click on the Data Sheet link and view the Specifications section of the PDF
3. You can also click the Resources tab and then select Manuals for a detailed description and operating instructions for each module
Hope this helps!

What kind of configuring does Apple do when buying an iPad?
I've noticed that when you buy an iPad-mini Retina wi-fi + cellular at store.apple.com, and you select the options that you want, that the following statement appears when you select the carrier:
"Your iPad will be configured to operate with the carrier you choose right out of the box."
What kind of configuring is going on here? Does Apple simply use the iPad itself to fill in the Cellular Data settings for the chosen carrier and perhaps edit the APN appropriately? Or is there more to it than that? If so, what?
As part of this step does Apple insert the appropriate nano-sim card into the iPad tray before it is shipped to the buyer?
Thanks,
EricHi Eric,
I bought an iPad Air 64 GB Verizon Cellular. When I received it I set it up then called verizon. The iPad was ready to connect to Verizon and I could add it to my plan. The cellular setup took about 5 minutes, most of that was a reboot while it propagated itself onto the verizon network. The sim was already installed and the iPad was easy to configure.
That beats the heck out of driving 6o miles, in my case, to a verizon store, getting a sim, setting up the iPad and driving home another 60 miles. -
I am moving to the UK, What kind of charger do I need?
I have a MacBook I got in 2009. Im moving abroad in September and Im trying to figure out what kind of charger I will need. I know you can pop off the little plug part on the adapter, and I saw on amazon that I can buy an extension that fits onto the adapter with a UK head on it. Do you think this will work? Or am I going to have to buy a completely new charger? I hope not because the adapter head on Amazon is only like $10!!! Here is a link to the adapter head which I think might work http://www.amazon.co.uk/extension-power-Adapter-Charger-Macbook/dp/B004S6VIG2/re f=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1311011961&sr=8-3
I guess Im just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this. I know the voltage in the UK is like 220 and in the Sates its only 110, and I obviously dont want to fry my computer or the adapter, so I just want to make sure Im doing the right thing!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone! Thanks guys this is really helpful! Last time I was there I just used an adapter and ended up frying a few things haha so I think I'll get a cord instead!!! Yay, I love my Mac and would never want to hurt it haha, thank goodness they make things so easy

What kind of joystick are supported by labview 7.0?
Dear all,
I'm going to use a USB 3D joystick (very normal one, which people used
to ues it to play game) to control a 3D XYZ stage movement.
now I'm caring what kind of 3D joystickk works in Labview 7.0? need any special joystick?
thank you very mcuh
Weiweichengatech,
I've looked into the specifics of the using a joystick and found a very good article that I think will point you in the right direction. Check out the knowledge base titled Can I Monitor a Joystick or Gamepad in LabVIEW 7.x? Basically, the vi's can be used with the USB HID (Human Interface Device) class of hardware. Please post if you have questions.

Hello, I've been trying to figure out what kind of RAM do I have in a computer (because I'm not sure if it's DDR2 or DDR1), so that when I purchase an upgrade, i will be able to use it.
I tried:

You could try lshw -short -C memory , dmidecode --type memory (this one gives a bit more info than --type 17), and dmidecode --type 2 (reports mobo model). But I wouldn't be surprised if these don't give you anything either.
You may just have to bite the bullet and crack open the case.
I can open the case, there is no problem with that (though most times it's not specified on the label)
From your commands I can't figure out what kind it is (though I know it's DDR2)

What Kind of microcontroller is needed for alarm system with PIR sensors
Hi ! I'm student at Technical University Varna ,
Bulgaria . I'm interessted to create my own alarm system with Labview,
but I'm not sure what kind of controller i need and what kind of PIR
sensors. Thank YouHi xellos,
I'm not sure what you need, but if my feelings is right, than what you want to do is sort of motion detector based on PIR sensor and some ucontroller. It this is what you need, than once again, such a question is rather suitable for other discussion forums, like LabVIEW Embedded.
However, in general you can go for ARM or Blackfin when thinking about embedded platform. See following links to get more ingormation on ARM and Blackfin with LabVIEW:
NI LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM Microcontrollers
NI LabVIEW Embedded Module for ADI Blackfin Processors Development Kit
With choosing sensor, I suggest simple googling - with relativly little effort you can find many sensors. And you can pick on specification and requirements you have (just to note, National Instruments is not producing and usualy not selling sensors).

I want to use the Web module to publish to the a website... What kind of server do I need to be able to publish my website?
You don't need a server, you just need a web hosting package such as the ones from GoDaddy or many other hosts. You then send the web gallery directly from LR to your web space.
As you're asking such basic questions, it might be best if you read articles like this and see if a friend or colleague can get you started. -
I am traveling to India, north and south, with my ipad 2, G-3. It is activated by AT and T. How do I use it in India? Do I need to purchase a sim card there and if so what kind? Would they be available in the Delhi airport or where else in central Delhi?
Also in order not to pay a fortune for the service is it better to acquire if needed a SIM card only once there?
Check with your carrier about roaming charges. They are usually prohibitive. Best to get a local SIM. -
I have 2 lines that the contracts are expired. I see that I can set an appointment, have them set up the iPhone of choice to my Verizon account and it even says that they will give me any product upgrade benefits. I find this hard to beleive. For one of the lines i have a product upgrade of $50 (Verizon calls it New Every Two which they did away with but still offer it to people who had it and did not use it yet). On my other line there is a $35 product upgrade. I can't beleive that Apple would give these product upgrade rewards( the $50 for the one line and the $35 for the 2nd line)
does anybody know how to tell if someone is with a carrier like Verizon, how to figure out what kind of iPhone package I should get so Verizon can't get me for going over my ;allotted minutes, text messages, internet usage, etc. I have never used a smartphone so I have no idea how to tell what kind of package I need for the iPhone. anybody else know? I saw that Sprint has a package that is "unlimited with all 4 services like text messages, internet usage, calls, etc for $99/mo. is this still the case? Verizon does everything they can to rip you off and charge you for going over. I have not been able to figure out how I can tell when I am getting close to going over. is there an app to tell this?
Any suggestions about getting this servic where apple sets it all up, teaches you how to use the phone, gives a decent warranty and offers applecare. any other carier that would be better? I heard that the unlimited data transfers does not mean "unlimited" but they still put an amount on the unlinites and if you go over you get docked. I hate Verizon.I should say before everybody else does I never learned how to type and barely learned how to write and spell so I probably should have done this some other way. Sorry.

I need to replace the HD of my macbook pro (early 2008) with another one with 1 TB storage capability. Is it possible? What kind of HD is it better?
Thanks
EnricoTake a look at what is offered by Mac specialists, such as OWC http://www.macsales.com and see what drives they handle. Their drives are all guaranteed to be compatible with Macs. And they have on-line videos that show how to do the installation.
Even if there are problems getting them to deliver where you live, you can get ideas of what works well with your system. -
I have one HDMI port on my television that is currently used for my hard drive/free view box. What kind of adaptor can I buy so I can have the hard drive and my apple tv device plugged into the same HDMI PORT? Is it a switch or a splitter? And where is it best to buy one? Thanks!
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need an HDMI switch. -
