Is there anyone knows what mac apps that similar to microsoft visual fox pro?
Or maybe visual fox pro for mac?
I heard that VFP 3.0 or 2.6 are design for mac, but I doubt that.
Is there any suggestion for this issue?

Hello, I just got my new iMac and was trying to find a way to place restrictions on the Mac App Store similar to how I do this on my iPhone and iPad. On the iPhone I can go into Restrictions and do things like turn off In-App purchases and Require Password immediately. This helps prevent any of my kids from purchasing apps without me knowing.
I've searched all over to try to find something similar for the Mac App Store on my iMac, but can't seem to find anything. Is there a setting somewhere that would allow me to make sure my password has to be entered for every purchase?

Looking for an iPad(iPad/Mac) app that allows for playlists to migrate to iPad

I am specifially and exclusively looking for recommendations for an iPad(iPad/Mac) app that allows for my playlists to be migrated to iPad intact and playable.
iTunes -> Podcast/Music/Videos does not support mixed (music/video/podcast) playlits or video playlist at all. The app(s) should be able to easily create these playlist on the Mac (and manage content) much like iTunes (10).
On the phone with tech support today and they agree this is missing functionality from Apple. They suggested I reach out on to other users that may have a thrid party solution.

CR XI not responding when connecting to a large visual fox pro database

Using Microsoft FoxPro VFP Driver (*.dbf) I cannot connect to a large (100mb) visual fox pro database. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Use your XI keycode when installing.
Not Responding is actually misleading, It's how Windows works, CR is waiting for the database info, tables, fields, etc. to be returned from the DB file and Windows defaults to Not Responding while this is going on. If you wait, and not sure if you did, Windows should return control to CR.
Try using ODBC or OLE DB to connect also.

What Mac app will work with Newsstand

I run a small stable of Macs, currently limited to 2 iMacs, 1 iPad3 and an iPhone. I like Newsstand on the iPad, however I would love to use the Cloud to allow all my current Apple products to use the info in Newsstand and to share items from the Mac to the iPad on Newsstand or something similar. Of course Newsstand isn't available for the Mac line, that is why I was wondering if anyone out there had a way to share information like it is on the Newsstand app for the Mac Line which will share to the iPad/iPhone iOS things. I have Pages, which will allow me to put the stuff into it and save, and it will share to all that have it installed. However I want to just have the items that I currently have put into Newsstand shared between all the OS X and the iOS units and I cannot do that using Pages unless I get rid of all the other stuff that is using it to cross platforms.
I get the feeling I will have to use the electronic reader software to cross the barrier.

Screen sharing Mac apps (that are not iChat)

I only have luck with iChat when I use my AirPort Extreme router. Using my neighboars lynksys router, it never works. Are they are Mac apps out there that will do what iChat does, but without the headaches? I'm looking for some good paid software.

Whats an app that my boyfriend and I can use to video chat and text (type to each other) at the same time?

I have an Ipod Touch and he has an Iphone 4. We have tried tango, but the audio on it is awful. He has 4g but on certain apps he has to have wifi to use them, like facetime, but he doesnt have wifi. So I have facetime on my ipod touch, and i have wifi, but he doesnt! so It needs to be an app that can be accessed with wifi AND 4g. So we need this app to allow us to do video, and at the same time type to each other on the screen. ( or at the bottom of the screen, whichever.) Because for some reason on the different video apps we've tried he can never hear me, and sometimes i cant hear him. I dont always have a very good signal, so if we couild just have the video we would be fine with just typing to each other. Also I'm staying at a hotel with my parents and they sleep early and i dont want to wake them, so typing to each other would be very ideal. Anyone know of an app that can do these things?

Have you ever even used skype on an iphone or ipod? We tried it and there is no way to type to each other while you are video chatting. You can do the typing during the video on a COMPUTER, but not on an iphone or ipod.

Is there a Mac app that can do the same as DriveSort does for Windows?

I am considering moving from Windows to Mac, but first, I need to make sure that I can still do all I need to do in the Mac world as I do with Windows today.
One question, I can't seem to answer is a silly one, but important to me.
I keep my music in my car on a flash drive with 700+ songs on it. However, since the flash drive is formated in FAT, it sorts the music by the order the computer decided to save them in.
To fix the order, I use DriveSort (http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php) but it only runs in Windows.
Is there a Mac application that does the same? I don't care if it is free or not.

The cars stereo will sort the flash drive by the order the files were written in and not by any order the OS has sorted it. This is the same in Windows and Mac, so a utility to "sort" the flash drive. DriveSort does this perfectly, but they don't have a Mac version. I'm looking for a Mac version of this type of software. Surely someone in the Mac world must have run into this flash drive problem and found a fix......

Mac App Store keeps crashing on my MacBook Pro

The App Store on my MacBook Pro shows I have updates that I need to install but I can't do that because everytime I try to open it, it crashes. I can't even fool it by going to get the new software update. I have OS 10.8.2 and the error message I get is:

I can only find MS Templates, but it requires MS Word to run so I'm confused?

You have to get Word from Microsoft - for a free 30-day trial, see here.
The Word templates you have may be able to be opened by Pages - from the App Store. Much less expensive than the Office suite. Even less expensive (as in free) is LibreOffice - which will open Word files and save in Word format.
