What method is the EW website using to do this? (and why?)
I asked a similar question in another thread, but apparently when a staffer answers you it automatically marks his answer as "Correct" whether the author wants it marked as such or not (giving the impression that the discussion is over). So I will ask my question differently and more precisely here, as I did not get all the answers I was looking for.
Entertainment Weekly's website seems to be using code that makes all images fade into view as they scroll into the viewport.
How? (ie, what method is being used?)
Do the images that are out of bounds of the viewport get loaded anyway, and are simply DISPLAYED once they scroll into view? Or do they only start loading once they scroll into view?
How common a practice is this? I've only seen a couple of sites like this so far. Are there any downsides to using this method, whatever it is?

for all entries is used to join two or more tables.
It is same as join but performance wise for all entries is more effective.
You can only use FOR ALL ENTRIES IN ...WHERE ...in a SELECT statement.
SELECT ... FOR ALL ENTRIES IN itab WHERE cond returns the union of the solution sets of all SELECT
statements that would result if you wrote a separate statement for each line of the internal table replacing the symbol
itab-f with the corresponding value of component f in the WHERE condition.Duplicates are discarded from the result
set. If the internal table itab does not contain any entries, the system treats the statement as though there were
no WHERE cond condition, and selects all records (in the current client).
for example:
SELECT * FROM sflight INTO wa_sflight
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN ftab
WHERE CARRID = ftab-carrid AND
CONNID = ftab-connid AND
fldate = '20010228'.
this condition, return all entries of the sflight
hen using FOR ALL ENTRIES the number of matching records is restricted to the number of records in the internal table. If the number of records in the database tables is too large then join would cause overheads in performance. Additionally a JOIN bypasses the table buffering.
So for all entries is used for filtering out the data from the two tables based on the entries in them.
Advantages:
1) For all entries avoids inner join & so the performance increases.
2) For specified values in 1 itab, if you to fetch values from other table you can use it.
3) Use of select stmt in loop is gets avoided, as u can use read statement on the the new itab. -

When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. -
Using Firefox 4 & Windows 7. Everytime I start Firefox from a shortcut to a website it comes up with the following error 'there was a problem sending the command to the program'. The requested website does load after this. with no problems.
If a shortcut is used while Firefox is already open the error does not occur.As reported in earlier replies, the annoyance disappeared after I upgraded to Roboform 7.5.6, from 7.5.4.

I have made a website using iweb, as this will no longer be supported by apple, does that mean the gallery I have created on my website will no longer work even though I am hosting it with a different hosting provider. Will the other widgets no longer work?

I want to use dns servers other then the one that airport extreme is using. For example I got the 172.16.1.1 (the default gateway - airport extreme), but I want to use the office dns servers, that are in a 10.x.x.x range.

Is you Airport Extreme on the 10.x.x.x network? if it is then you are already using the 10.x.x.x DNS servers. Check your Airport Extreme with the Airport Utility and you will see in the Internet tab, the DNS servers used. The devices connecting to the Airport Extreme are assigned a DNS address of the Airport Extremes IP, In your case 172.16.1.1 but all DNS searches and resolution are done with the DNS servers you see in the Airport Extreme.
If you want to use some other DNS then you can override in the Airport Extreme which will be used by all devices connecting too the Airport Extreme, Or you can edit the DNS address in each devices wireless settings. -

This is the general policy on which all websites are built. Even if you try to login the same website from another web browser, you won't be able to login from the second platform either. I just check it. Tried on Mozilla and Internet Explorer. -

Hello, After I installed the SBO server packages, I found that it must set DB account in the client side.
I had tried 'sa' account, it works. but I thought we should not leave the super account in each client side.
So I want to know what privileges should be assiged to the account in SQL Server?

I've downloaded quicktime but every time I try to play a video on the apple website using internet explorer it asks me to download quicktime again yet if I'm safari it plays fine. Any suggestions?
That sounds like IE wants you to install the QuickTime ActiveX control.
Go back to the page you're getting the message on. At the bottom of the screen, can you see a long rectangular box asking you to allow/install something? (Sorry, it's been a while since I've seen the box in question, so I can't recall the precise wording.)
If so, allow/OK in that box. After the ActiveX control has gone in, can you see the videos in IE? -
I Baught A iMac 2010 From Someone it came with lion but for the programs i use i need snow leopard but when trying to install it won't boot from usb or cd what can be the problem i've been at this for over 24 hours if anyone ca help it'd be greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Goodmorning,
I've installed BO XI R3 SP4 on a 2k3-server with IIS 6.0. I wanted to configurate the SSO. After changing the web.config file and restart of the IIS , I get the following error :
HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
The frame where you normally are using for authentication has this error, the frame around is normal.
