What might cause CTI to leave black vertical lines in timeline (CS4)?

I'm relatively new with Premiere Pro CS 4.
For some reason, whenever I click on the CTI, or move it around the timeline, it leaves a trail of black verticle lines.
Sometimes these black lines totally prevent me from seeing anything on the timeline.
This just started yesterday.  Up until that, everything was fine.
Any idea what is causing this?
I must have clicked on some tool or setting.  But I can not get rid of it.
Even closing Premiere and turning it back on does not help.  Neither does changing projects.
thx
Micheel

OK, I found the solution in one of the forums after searching for  ~ "timeline disapearing."
Apparently, if you open up FireFox while using Premiere or before using Premiere, it causes the timeline to behave oddly.  Basically, the time line starts to turn black as if it is not getting refreshed.
The work around is to reboot, and NOT use Firefox at all.  Bummer.  I could not find a real fix.
Even if you reboot and then open and close Firefox, Premiere's timeline will have this problem.
But if you reboot and use Premiere, it's OK, until you open Firefox.
The thread says this also happens with ZoneAlarm and Premiere but I could not confirm that problem.

  • Unable to access endpoints error. What might cause it?

    I got the below error
“Unable to access the following endpoint(s): https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration”
I copied and pasted the below url into a browser and I got the “Page Not Found” error
    https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?wsdl
Do you know what might cause this error?
    Thanks

Hi, ok now I see, no you don't if you use bpel, but anyway the ?wsdl url is not reachable in on demand. Url https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration is right if you are on pod "dsa". I'm not that familiar with bpel but as far as I know it's simply loading the wsdl into your bpel process and use WS-Security for server side session handling. If you don't send security headers you have to define a login step first but normally this is not necessarry if you add ws security header in your requests.

I am getting an error 2131, attempt to burn a disc failed.  What might cause this?

Maybe you should post in the iTunes forum or other appropriate forum. This is the iPod touch forum and the iPod can't burn CDs.

  • The Apple ID Password request pops up constantly, I am not purchasing or updating apps, what might cause this to happen?

    What might cause this problem?

You may have an app that is trying to update or download that needs the password to continue... once you enter it it will time out so you don't have to worry about putting it in.
Enter it and it should store it for 15 minute only and after that time you'd need to enter it again to buy something.
Updates do not require password anymore but purchases do

  • Black Vertical lines and a thin yellow haze in the center of my screen

I can't seem to find the answer to this question, or one that my be a solution. I recently discovered black vertical lines and a yellow haze in the center of my ipod nano 4GB.
One discussion said I should put it to sleep for 4 hours and the lines will erase. That didn't work. What's the common cause to this and how can I fix it? And could it be because I converted it from a mac to windows itunes?

Try giving it a reset. hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that fixes it.

  • White and black vertical lines

I Have the iPhone 5. It has been in a case since the day I bought it. It is 2 months out of warranty and I got white and black vertical lines while I was laying in bed. My friend tried checking my screen and replaced it with a working screen and it did the same thing so it wasn't the screen. Took my phone to Apple they said it's the screen and I have to pay $130 to fix it even with it out of warranty..... Lady standing next to me had the same problem they plugged it in fixed it and she was on her way with it. What is wrong with my phone? What should I do?

and one more thing, itunes cannot read my device i did that for 20-30 sec but it won't turn on

  • Small Black Vertical Lines follow my mouse pointer AND surround all ICONS

Small Black Vertical Lines follow my mouse pointer AND surround all ICONS on my desktop. I just turned on my computer and it showed like this. I already tested my monitor and it's not the monitor.
See a picture of my problem here on my me gallery:
    http://gallery.me.com/egarfias/100024
Looking at websites, it's fine the display but any icons and my pointer and things that move have these lines following! Looking at VIDEO, it's the picture is full of white and black lines though you can see the video just fine.
    Any ideas? Thank you!!

I am in Safe Mode now: This is the weirdest thing: A bit from column A AND B:
The display is perfect EXCEPT for two parallel lines of 17, 3 millimeter-long black lines that follow the pointer everywhere it goes.
Get this: my current display is 1024x768, but when I change it to 640x480, the pointer and everything is perfect! (of course, I can only see a fraction of my desktop)
But then again... when I zoom in and out holding down control (in 640x480) the pointer lines appear again, but less lines. They disappear when I re-reset it to 640.
    Strange.
But yeah, safe mode is NEAR perfect with the except of the cursor lines. I can screen grab my cursor though to show...

  • Actual solutions for C6380 black vertical lines ?

When copying or scanning on my C6380 all-in-one, black vertical lines that are generated from the hinge-side of the glass appear on my documents. While this problem has been posted and re-posted over and over again the only responses I've found have been to clean the glass and inside of the cover.  I have done this several times. I have also reinstalled the driver and unplugged the power cable from the both the printer itself and the outlet. The lines do not occur when printing Pages or Numbers or web-generated documents.  Any suggestions?
I have a hunch that the only solution is to put up with the lines or but a new copier/scanner.

You can give a try to the Troubleshooting steps in this link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02169248&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3560280&tmp...
Resets should work. Seems like a scanner bulb issue.
I work for HP but my posts and replies are my own.

  • Red vertical lines at timeline while rendering+saving

Sometimes I get red vertical lines at timeline while rendering+saving my projects. What do they mean?

System ==> Mac mini (late 2009), CPU: 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, RAM: 2GB 1066MHz DDR3, OS: Mac OS X Version 10.6.5. Adobe products ==> Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 & Adobe Premiere Elements 9 (including Adobe Elements 9 Organizer)
Please notice that the the red vertical lines appear only in the TIMELINE and not to the video (rendered and/or exported) itself! I would guess that it has to do with the quality of the video, or with the fact that it is not rendered and these are the "difficult" pieces of the video, but I don't know so ... it would only be a guess.

it's in there.... still does not work.. uhm...thanks for the idea thoguh
You don't set a CLASSPATH with Tomcat. It ignores
your system CLASSPATH if you have one, so if that's
what you mean by "in there", that's not helping you.
You need to find the JAR with that .class file in it
and put it in TOMCAT_HOME/common/lib. That way every
context running on that Tomcat server will see it.
If that's what you have, then I don't know why you're
    getting this error.
%He's beyond that - just didn't have commons-logging.jar, now he does.
OP - I don't know about your next problem, but it's only a "warning" - looks like if you're not trying to do attachments with the API, you'll be fine. Otherwise, apparently you'll need some J2EE jar in your run-time classpath - is that happening on the client side, or the server side (shouldn't be the latter, as it is running in a J2EE container, so I wouldn't expect it to complain about not finding those classes)

  • Black Vertical Lines On Macbook Pro Display

I bought a new 15.4 inch Macbook Pro about a month and a half ago and started seeing black vertical columns displaying statically on my display. Here's a link to the picture of it I took with my cellphone http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk222/rs-1981/Macbook%20Pro/photo.jpg So i brought the laptop to the genius bar, explained what was wrong, and they gave me a new replacement. They had no idea what it was.
So here I am about 1 month later with the new laptop and it's starting to happen all over again. I can usually get the screen to go back to normal after rebooting and it will be fine for a few days and then it starts all over again.
Any ideas of what could be going wrong and any advice on what I should expect apple to do about it would be highly appreciated. I really don't want to have them replace a second time only for this to happen again.
    Thanks

you're not alone. it's something all macbook pros 15" are having. it seems to be caused when the display changes brightness, wakes from sleep, power cord removed, or just randomly. Close the lid and reopen to remove the stripes.

  • Blue and gray/black vertical lines on start up screen.

At start up my 2008 MacBookPro brings up a blue and black/gray vertical lines covering the entire screen. It has a large image of the power button and tells me "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button". We've tried that. It restarts, makes the start up noise and gives the same prompt with the same blue and gray vertical lines in the background. Any idease on what our problem is?

MacBook Pro (Early 2008): Dark bands showing intermittently on built-in display
MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues .  The affected computers  were manufactured between approximately May 2007 and September 2008.

  • Elements 13 - leaves black spots & lines when editing

Elements 13 Spot Healing Tool - freezes & leaves black spot on image in Photoshop Elements
    Julie Law asked1 month ago
I am using Elements 13 on a Mac, doing substantial spot healing in restoring old images.
The healing tool regularly seems to have a delay in responding and then leaves a dark spot on the image.  When I 'undo' to remove it, the spot occasionally extends down to the bottom right with a smudged line.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Any tips on how to prevent this?
