What MIME plug-in do I need?

Hello,
I'm a new Mac user so things are still a bit foggy.
I'm trying to open "what's on now" from a radio station but it gives me this message:
The page has content of MIME type “application/x-oleobject”.
Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.
How do I get what I need to be able to listen online?

You need Flip4Mac which replaces Microsloth's Windows Media Player. However, you don't mention which machine. IIRC, it's only for PPC machines. There's nothing comparable for ICBMs (Intel-chip-based Macs).

I finally resolved the issue.
Here is a synopsis of the problem & the solution that worked for me. I should add this Forum (and several other friends who helped) never cease to be a wonderful source of ideas & support. Grateful thanks to them.
The test file was 30 seconds of colour bars (PAL) recorded as HD 1080p and the file was encoded by a default Microsoft MPEG-4 format called MP4S with a resolution of 720x576.
Ultimately I needed to be able to import the file into Final Cut Pro V.6 for editing & so the file needed to be transcoded into a QuickTime supported format.
VLC was the only software I found capable of opening this file as QT would not. When I attempted to open it, a QuickTime dialogue box responded - This file is not a movie file.
After a long search an application called VisualHub

offered the ability to transcode the existing format which was MP4S to H.264 (also MPEG-4). QuickTime was then able to open this new file & subsequently importing it into Final Cut Pro was made easy.

More than likely these are CS3 or later files and the latest version you have installed is CS2. Without a newer icon handler from a more recent version, the CS2 icon will be displayed for anything newer than CS, and Windows itself has no clue that any version of ID other than the last one installed is associated with the file type.
As Jongware points out, this is the typical error for trying to open a newer version file.

There's no direct support for your camera in CS5.
It would require ACR 7.3 or higher, which only work with CS6.
You can download and run the free Adobe DNG Converter 7.4 to convert your raw Canon files to raw DNGs which you can then open in CS5.

I have both of these applications installed on my apple. Both the player and converter. I used MPEG Streamclip to convert a .mov file recorded on my iphone to an .avi file for playback on an internet website. After the file is converted there is no audio and I get an error message stating:
"You may need an additional video decoder to play this file.
This file contains a track in an unknown format (code ""). You may need to install a QuickTime™ component for this video format in order to play this file."
I purchased the pro version of divx to see if this addressed the issue but it did not. I'm concerned the pro version of flip 4 mac will be the same at $30.00 more dollars. Is MPEG Streamclip the problem?

rather on one server and use it every where.....?
Still depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Most clustered systesm use a connections on each server. They sync the data retrieved between servers, not the connections themselves.
If you simply one a single connection point then you need to use a driver that proxies requests to and from the real connection point.
RmiJdbc is free at http://www.objectweb.org/.
There are commercial drivers available, search at http://industry.java.sun.com/products/jdbc/drivers, which provide an enterprise layer for database access. They are probably more robust and feature rich than the above one.

NEED A "MIME" PLUG-IN?

I received an error message indicating that my i-Book G4 10.4.2 does not contain the "MIME" plug-in. Can anyone tell me where to find and download this plug-in?
I am a novice user so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I am moving to the UK, What kind of charger do I need?

I have a MacBook I got in 2009. Im moving abroad in September and Im trying to figure out what kind of charger I will need. I know you can pop off the little plug part on the adapter, and I saw on amazon that I can buy an extension that fits onto the adapter with a UK head on it. Do you think this will work? Or am I going to have to buy a completely new charger? I hope not because the adapter head on Amazon is only like $10!!! I guess Im just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this. I know the voltage in the UK is like 220 and in the Sates its only 110, and I obviously dont want to fry my computer or the adapter, so I just want to make sure Im doing the right thing!!!!!!!

My airport extreme card was causing kernel panics, and I discovered one antenna wire was unplugged, but without unscrewing the card, I'm unable to plug the antenna back in. My question is what type of screwdriver do I need to unscrew the card? Thank you for the link, but they only list a DIY install guide for the original iMac G5. My airport/bluetooth card is very similar/almost exact to the card found in the iSight iMac G5s.
My logic board layout looks exactly like this http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacg517inch_PowerSupply.pdf as opposed to http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/imacG517inchAirPort.pdf where the airport card is much larger and doesn't require a special screwdriver for replacement. I'm not really in need of install instructions, but rather what specific screwdriver/allen wrench is needed to get the card off the board.

No you don't. All currently available commercial hard drives and SSDs have the same SATA connectors in the exact same place.
As to being plug and play that is up to interpretation. The drive will plug into the cable but then you have to partition and format the drive for the Mac OS X operating system and then install OS X on it or restore from a Time Machine backup or Clone from your original drive to the SSD. Those things aren't necessarily Plug & Play. Not hard, just time consuming. Some more than the others.

Upgrading to firefox 5 and updating my plug-ins helped a bit. Frog is less 'sticky' now, but it's not solved the problem. Java needs to be up to speed or the frog goes into stasis....
