i got a msg for updates for my iphone and tells me I need to have wi-fi for these updates. I need help, not good at this tech stuff

Some app updates are quite large and trying to update them over the 3G cellular network would take too long. As a result they will require you to be connected to wi-fi to do the update. You can connect to any wi-fi, either your own (if you have one) or a public hotspot, try the update again and it should complete.

important to note that what you are talking about is not a backup
It is simple to ahve your iPhoto library on an external drive -
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive
And you can have multiple i{Photo libraries - one can be on your internal drive and other on an external drive -- iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - is a very helpful tool for managing multiple libraries

Once you purchase or download an app it will always be associated with the Apple ID used to download it. When that app requires and update you must use the Apple ID and password used to download it in the first place. The only way around this is to delete the apps the require the old Apple ID and download or purchase them again with the new Apple ID.

For a couple of years now there have been several scam artists that call you, claiming to be from 'tech support', or your ISP or even Microsoft, reporting that your machine has been idenfitied as being infected and that you need to give them access to your machine to 'clean it up'. In the process of this 'clean up' they thoroughly hose the system by trashing important files and then demand more money in 'recovery fees' to restore the system.
I've laughed in their face whenever they've called me since they have no clue of how to compromise a Mac system, but if they've started to target Mac users then more vigilence is required.

My boss is the kind of person that when he asks something you look into it and ask him no questions...he's the only one asking questions! As for the texts, you could purchase a separate device, and use the child's Apple ID to monitor the iMessages. For SMS/MMS, no way to monitor it. You'll have to use the app called 'Random Parental Inspections'.

So it sounds like you want to create a form. There are really two approaches, either Acrobat (AcroForm) or LiveCycle Designer (XFA form). LiveCycle Designer comes with Acrobat Pro, but it's an entirely separate application.
For an AcroForm, you'd create the underlying document in a page layout program (e.g., InDesign), word processor, or some other software and convert to PDF. Then in Acrobat you;d add the interactive form fields and any scripting you want. You can also add other types of interactive elements such as links, bookmarks, multimedia, etc. You can add a button which when clicked initiates an email with the filled-in form attached of submits to a web server.
For an XFA form, you'd normally create the entire document in LiveCycle Designer, particularly for a dynamic forms. There's a lot that PDF has to offer that's not available with XFA forms, but XFA forms can do things AcroForms can't.
