Talk about my luck...
I decided to reinstall my my PC with X64 to see what gains the extra gig could give me in gaming performance. All is well, I download FireFox, then AVG, and restarted all in good order. Then I download ATI drivers and on the restart, I shut the system down completely unhooked the power cord off and drained the remaining power from the system (playing it real safe) so I could install the sound card that came with the motherboard. (no on board audio jacks.)
I fired up the computer to be faced with... BLEEPS!! At first I never thought anything of it, I removed the audio card, reset CMOS using the button on the rear and tried again... Nope, nothing on screen, nothing but those dreaded hell sent bleeps! This time, its not like before with the one long bleep followed by two short beeps, this bleep is one long bleep followed by two short but deeper bleeps spaced more apart.
Any ideas?... What did I blow up this time?

Because you moved your VGA by accident while installing the sound card...
Your VGA wasn't filled well into the PCI-E slot, and because of this you have received those beeps before.

Crashed meaning it will not start now? Try resetting the iPad and go from there.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Give more details as well for better instructions from the community.

After deleting 17G of music files to make room on the 74G drive, The iPhoto and iWeb updates seemed to load okay, but the OS 10.5.8 update failed - message opened said the computer encountered an error and must shut down. Now I get the blue screen. Startup with 'V' pressed shows multiple lines saying: error-can't find IntelCPU Power Manager. What now?? I reset PRAM, I think.....?????

I am concerned that you might have applied a system updated intended for an Intel iMac, while you have a PPC (non-Intel) iMac. Your PPC OS should not be looking for an "IntelCPU Power Manager."
Have you tried booting from the 10.5 install DVD/CD and repairing the hard drive, plus repairing permissions?
If you done the repairs mentioned above, and your problem still persists, you can also try doing a safe boot. (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455 ) Then, if none of these things worked, if I were in your shoes (it's hard to diagnose these things without being there in person) I would first check that there is adequate disk space, then I would boot from the 10.5 DVD/CD install disk and reinstall the operating system. There is an option to do an archive and install preserving user files/settings, that would be the option you want, as it will save your files but install a new OS. Make sure you have a good backup of your files first. If you do not have one, use "target mode" to copy all your files before embarking on an new OS install. Assuming that you do succeed with this install, then use Software Update to get the right updates for your iMac.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

Mozilla was slow and i have reset it! Now, all my bookmarks are gone and when I try to recover it, it says not possible to process the file! WHAT NOW?

Today my Mozilla was slow and as the solution i was offered below is reset to its default settings and Mozilla would like to keep all the old data! Of course, that I did that and for a minute an unpleasant surprise!
No bookmarks, no history nor can add Bookmarks in the toolbar or the back button works (works with backspaceom) nor offers page while typing in adressbar.
I find a bunch of online tutorials recovery but nothing! Firefox is saved on the desktop folder "Firefox old data" but when I go importat says "file can not be prosecuted."
What now?
Bookmarksi are very important to me and I am now as one eye!
Now Mozilla is not remembering browsing history neither!
OS is W7 Pro 64
Comp is HP8710w

Ok, Below is what worked for me somewhat.
Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems. It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn. Looking still for this fix.

Fallout75, good catch on the eXo plugin. To remove it, in the Finder click "Go" on the menu bar and pull down to "Go to Folder" and then type ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins
When that Finder window opens, you should see an "eXo" subdirectory. Just delete that "eXo" folder and iTunes should start without the error.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
