What number to use on redeem gift card
Sounds silly, but I've got a prepaid gift card and none of the numbers on the back are correct when I enter them to redeem. There is a bar on the back of the card that looks like it should be scratched to reveal something underneath (FastCard logo plastered across the bar), but there are no directions telling me to scratch it. And I know how sometimes scratching a magnetic strip may ruin a card. I don't know. Never got one of these before. What number are they talking about using?

Assuming it's an iTunes gift card, you can buy anything in the iTunes Store other than a gift for someone else.

iTunes will not use the redeemed gift cards on my account, I have a $30 credit and when I try to purchase a song it goes right to my credit card on file. Why does this keep happening???

Troubles using a redeemed gift card

I recieved a 100$ gift card with the purchase of my mac, I just redeemed it and im having troubles using it in the itunes store.
Whenever I try to purchase a song it redirects me to my credit card info and asks me to update it.
Why isn't is automatically taking the price off the 100$?If you have a credit card on your account then it needs to valid. But as long as you are buying content for yourself (you can't use an account's balance to gift content) then your balance should be used up first before your card is charged.

I download a app from appstore in Hong Kong and it did not allow me to buy the in app staff because my payment information is from US and i did not have the credit card from Hong Kong. In case like that everytime I have been reject by the appstore to pay for the in app staff. Why can't I use an iTunes gift card in Canada to purchase apps for my iTouch?

"Due to tax laws and commerce restrictions for software in Canada, customers residing in Canada may only purchase games and applications using a credit card."
What these "laws/restrictions" might be have never been identified.
Can I somehow exchange the giftcards that I have for App gift cards?
There are no "app gift cards". Again, you can only use a credit card to purchase software in the Canadian iTunes Store.
Problem is I don't have a credit card to purchase the apps.
Perhaps you could obtain one of the "prepaid" credit cards some banks offer. If not, then the only way you'll be able to buy apps is to get someone to allow you to use their credit card. -

I have tried so many times to delete my expired credit card information from iTunes so that it will only deduct from the redeemed gift card (that was taken in successfully). I have been trying to fix this myself and just found a way tonight. This started happening after I downloaded a new version. I tried several other approaches and was unsuccessful until I was directed to the support website. I searched for 5002 error. I chose specific conditions and alert message. Then chose "Error 5002" which gave a little detail.
Basically I had to go to the above site and change my password and some other account information. It didn't work when I tried in my actual ITUNES application. I think because my account was so old and they upgraded some security items like stronger passwords etc., so the old stuff was no longer good enough. I have now redeemed two gift cards. I hope it helps. -

I had an apple ID that I could never remember. I did manage to redeem a gift card on it with a balance still remaining. I made a new apple id today, and it says I cant use the remaning gift card money on any of my apps with my new apple id? The balance shoes up on my new apple id but it wont work?
