What order or in what way are the resource authorization policies applied?

I understand what RAP/CAP are and how they work and I know that the CAP are applied according to the order. The RAPs are not linked to a specific CAP. My question is how are the RAPs applied. You can obviously have a group or a nested group
in one or more RAPs. So does the connection attempt (after it gets by the CAP) get compared to all the RAPs before it is denied? I have been searching for hours and have not been able to find anything on how the RAPs are applied. I have both server 2012
GWs and server 2008 R2.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for your post in Windows Server Forum.
When you associate an RD Gateway-managed computer group with an RD RAP, you can support both fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) and NetBIOS names by adding both names to the RD Gateway-managed computer group separately. When you associate an Active Directory
security group or an RD Session Host server farm with an RD RAP, both FQDNs and NetBIOS names are supported automatically if the internal network computer that the client is connecting to belongs to the same domain as the RD Gateway server. If the internal
network computer belongs to a different domain than the RD Gateway server, users must specify the FQDN of the internal network computer.
Might below articles useful for more understanding.

2.  How To Work with RD Gateway in Windows Server 2012
Hope it helps!

  • Sales Order does not show up at the resource level.

    Hi guys,
I have a flour mill of having 4 processs (resources)
    1). Tempering (cleaning).
    2). Milling.
    3). Blending.
    4). Packing.
I have two identical sales order. One has been through all the process (resources) and showed in the DS Planning board but, other one has not shown up there. It happens to me couple of times that such sales order do not show up at the resource level. Where should I check and correct? Aslo which way can I follow up these missing sales order? and What shoud I do if this situation happens?
    Thanks

    313,
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1406120
Since you asked the question, I can assume that you don't have an "S" number.  speak to the person in your company who administers your SAP Service Marketplace account (this is usually someone on your Basis team), who can obtain one for you.
Or, you can try on your own.  A few stars have to be in alignment for the second method to work.

  • On Provision or reProvision, what order are the resources proccessed in?

    Howdy,
I am fighting a race condition. Occasionally, when an end user claims their computing accounts, and active sync thread is undoing some of the claiming process. I have done a lot of work to eliminate race condition potential, and am now rather stumped. However, I have come to wonder if the Provision workflow service is the culprit. The toUpdate list has LDAP first, a few DB resources, then Lighthouse. It is the LDAP active sync process that is stepping on the toes of the account claiming. Does this list get processed linearly in order? If so this might explain what is happening. However I can not find any information in the order of execution....
    Does anyone know?
    Thanks,
    Jim

Hi there, thanks for the response I checked this and here are the numbers / time stamps on an example:
This is from interpreting the list backup of archivelog commands.
    Backupset = 122672
    ==============
Archive log sequence 120688 low time: 25th May 15:53:07 next time: 25th May 15:57:54
    Piece1 pieceNumber=123368 9th June 04:10:38 <-- catalogued by us.
    Piece2 pieceNumber=122673 25th May 16:05:18 <-- Original backup on production.
    Backupset = 122677
    ==============
Archive log sequence 120683 low time: 25th May 15:27:50 Next time 25th May 15:32:24 <-- lower sequence number restored after above.
    Piece1 PieceNumber=123372 9th June 04:11:34 <-- Catalogued by us.
    Piece2 PieceNumber=122678 25th May 16:08:45 <-- Orignial backup on Production.
So the above would show that if catalogue command you could influence the Piece numbering. Therefore the restore order if like you say piece number is the key. I will need to review production as to why they were backed up in different order completed on production. Would think they would use the backupset numbering and then piece within the set / availability.
Question: You mention archive logs are restored and applied and deleted in batches if the volume of archivelogs is large enough to be spread over multiple backup sets. What determines the batches in terms of size / number?
Thanks for inputs. Answers some questions.

  • LWUIT Resource Editor. what do you do after you save the resource file?

I have read up on LWUIT and the Resource Editor/Theme Creator. I can set the Label Border to empty as I want. Then I save the file.
But what do I do next._ I need to get the resource file into my JAR, I believe, and then activate the resource settings in my App. I have read the LWUIT doc over and over and tried a few things but I don't get it . Help.

    Thanks,
Thanks, I was able to get that code in with a few additions as below
    Resources resource = null;
    try {
    resource = Resources.open("/MMC2_Package/MMC2.res");
    } catch (IOException ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    UIManager.getInstance().setThemeProps(resource.getTheme(resource.getThemeResourceNames()[0]));
There are no errors but it doesn't work yet. I tried to change the background colour of the command keys, as well, but no change. My resource file is called MMC2.res and I put it in the MMC2_Package directory along with the java file and some png images , one of which I am able to put in the label but it has this border that I am trying to get rid of.

  • Where are the EAS security policies stored? "Reset Security Policies"?

When you connect Mail app to an account using EAS, security policies from the Exchange server are applied to Windows 8.1. I know that these can be reset by going to Control Panel -> User Accounts and then clicking on the "Reset Security Policies"
    option.
However, I would like to see which policies are being applied by the Exchange server, but I can't find where Windows 8.1 is storing the policy settings.  Are they in the registry?  Can I see them in the GPEDIT local policies?
For example, our Exchange server sets the "Max inactivity time lock" to 15 minutes.  I would like to be able to see exactly which Windows setting is storing this value and enforcing it.
I've verified that it's overriding settings already in place that are stored in:
Computer Config - > Windows Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options.
    or
Computer Config - > Admin Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization
    or
User Config -> Admin Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization
Does anyone have idea where I might be able to view these policies in Windows 8.1?

    Hi,
Aboved suggestions is description of the EAS policy.

  • In what order are msgs consumed with single sess & multiple async consumers

Sun MQ will serialize delivery of messages when you have a single session and multiple asynchronous consumers created from that session. I am trying to find out what is the order in which the messages will be delivered by the session to the message listener.
So if I have 10 consumers on 10 destinations, each with 100 messages, in what order will messages be passed to the message listener.
    Thanks
    Aspi Engineer
    Putnam Investments

In our testing, we have found that the consumerFlowLimit implementation will guarantee that you'll receive your messages out of order. What happens is that messages will be put in the consumer buffer and they won't be available for round-robin delivery to the other consumers (even if they are idle). I'd recommend setting the consumerFlowLimit=1 which minimizes the impact of this, but every other message will still be out of order (ie consumer #1 grabs messages 1&2, consumer #2 grabs messages 3&4, etc; so that they will process 1&3 together, and 2&4 together. I consider this a very serious bug of openMQ and wish we could disable the consumerFlowBuffer all together to get guaranteed processing order from the queue.

  • What are the weird files that start with ._ that pc users get when I send zips?

When I send files that I zip using Stuiffit to pc users they get the files plus an equal number of files that start with ._ Does anybody know what these are and how to get rid of them?
    Thanks!

Dot files are invisible files that OS X uses to display positions of files and folders icon for instance when you open a folder.
That is indeed what a .DS_Store file does, but that's not the ones Bogies is referring to.
There are various other items that start with a period, such as .Trashes. Every drive gets a trash folder, just as Windows does to each of its drives. While it hides its own trash folders from view, Windows doesn't recognize OS X's version of the trash folder, so you see it.
But you're likely talking about these. Every file you copy from OS X to a DOS/Windows formatted drive gets a ._ file. The Mac OS has a twin file system; the data fork, and the resource fork. Windows has only a data fork.
In order for OS X to maintain the resource fork data on a Windows drive, it has to write the resource data as a separate data fork file. So a file named foo.tif will also get a ._foo.tif file on the drive. Mac users don't see them since UNIX automatically hides anything that starts with a period. When you copy the file back to OS X, the data and resource fork info is combined again into a normal Mac file.
Most of the time, removing these are no big deal. They hold simple data like Type and Creator codes, modification dates, icons, etc. Others, like Mac Type 1 PostScript or Mac legacy TrueType fonts have all of the font data in the resource fork. Delete the ._ files for those types of fonts, and you're left with nothing.

  • What order of polynomial in "polynomial interpolation.vi"?

How to set the order of the polynomial in this distributed vi in LV5.0?
I tested it with value arrays for [X] and [Y] (100 points each),
and with x values inside the range of [X],
getting error -20050 (pole) all the time. It is not clear what order
of polynomials is used inside the vi (in code form).
Any thing out that is better than this one?
    Thank you.

I think that the order of the polynomial is equal to the size of the input [X] and [Y] arrays. I'm no expert in this area, but apparently the Polynomial Fit VI uses Neville's algorithm as outlined here in the popular Numerical Recipes in C reference (I was pointed here from an NI KnowledgeBase entry):
    http://www.ulib.org/webRoot/Books/Numerical_Recipes/bookcpdf/c3-1.pdf
Apparently, the problem is arising because your [X] and [Y] inputs, when fed through the algorithm, are resulting in something insoluble. I can get error -20049, for instance, when I feed in an X array with two consecutive elements of the same value. I think the reason for this is clear if you look at equation 3.1.3 in the reference link above (divide by zero).
Anyway, I doubt that you rea
lly want a 100th order polynomial fit just to interpolate your data, correct? You might just want to use General Polynomial Fit.vi, get a fit with your desired order, then plug your desired X value back into the result to get your interpolation.
    Hope it helps,

You installed a variant of the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
This malware has many variants. Anyone else finding this comment should not expect it to be applicable.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.laser.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.laser.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.laser.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/laser
    /System/Library/Frameworks/v.framework
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    B
"ZipCloud" is some sort of cloud-storage service with a doubtful reputation. The OS X client is sometimes distributed along with malware. Although ZipCloud may not be malicious itself, it should be deemed suspect by virtue of the company it keeps.
To remove ZipCloud, start by backing up all data (not with ZipCloud itself, of course.)
Quit the application, if it's running, and drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.jdibackup.ZipCloud.autostart.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Trash.
In the same folder, there may also be a file named
               com.jdibackup.ZipCloud.notify.plist
Move that to the Trash as well.
Log out or restart the computer and empty the Trash.
    C
The following Safari extensions are malicious and should be removed in the Extensions pane of the Safari preferences window:
              Searchme
Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use those. Never install any extension with the words "Spigot," "Conduit," "Genieo," or "Trovi" in the description.
    D
Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Who are the "guests" of my Time Capsule?

In the Utility Airport I chose to share my documents, and protect the shared disks by the Time Capsule password. Below that, there is a question I don't understand very much: "access Airport disks by guest", with the options "Not allowed", "Only reading" and "Reading and writing". What does it mean? Who are the guests? If I allow reading and writing, are the guests allowed to read and write in my TC disk only if they know the password, or they can do that without knowing the password?
    Thanks, Peter.

That's OK. Only, I believe there is a big difference between the Time Capsule and the Mac in order of the status of "guest".
In the Time Capsule a "guest" can access the ENTIRE hard disk without knowing the TC password, but he has to know the network password (or must use YOUR Mac).
In the Mac, the "guest" is never allowed to see into the admin account, he can only use some applications, but can't watch any admin documents: so, he can't have access to the ENTIRE hard disk.
Thankyou. As you have understood i'm a beginner both of the Mac and tne English language...

  • Will the resource of  'SNIPED, KILLED' sessions be released?

    Hi Guys,
I have a couple of questions regard to session status and the limit of session numbers which is set in parameter SESSIONS.
    1) these are the Status of the session:
ACTIVE - Session currently executing SQL
    INACTIVE
KILLED - Session marked to be killed
CACHED - Session temporarily cached for use by Oracle*XA
SNIPED - Session inactive, waiting on the clientMy question is, are the resource consumed by the sessions which are in 'SNIPED', 'KILLED' released?
    what about 'INACTIVE'?
    2) there is a parameter called 'SESSIONS' which is used to set the limit of session numbers.
So, my question is, the sessions in which status, will be counted into the total number of sessions, which in turn, will be compared against parameter SESSIONS?
any input will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Yep, couldn`t agree more.
for your link, I definitely read that before posted here and it seems vague about the things that I am asking here.
    Here is my question:
first question, are the resource consumed by the sessions which are in 'SNIPED', 'KILLED' released?
what about 'INACTIVE'?the link said 'At this time all oracle resources are released but the shadow processes remains and OS resources are not released'.
So, I get that the oracle resource will be released when the sessions in 'SNIPED' status.
but, what about the 'KILLED' and 'INACTIVE' ones?
    You said:

Sniped and killed sessions' resources should be cleaned up (eventually).
    >
    again, very vague.
I want to know if the resources are released when the sessions are marked as 'SNIPED OR KILLED'.
    2) there is a parameter called 'SESSIONS' which is used to set the limit of session numbers.
So, my question is, the sessions in which status, will be counted into the total number of sessions, which in turn, will be compared against parameter SESSIONS?I failed to find anything about this one. that`s why i am asking here.
    one more question,
what`s the difference between 'INACTIVE' and 'SNIPED'? I can`t tell the difference by reading the doc.
    thanks
